About LC from USA: I am a lamb in high school and I've been a Mariah fan all my life! She is the reason I sing and write songs and she's impacted my life in so many ways.

Andrew (48,380) by LC from USA
Everyone with a negative opinion or criticism is not a hater, Andrew. Just like everyone who supports and understands is not delusional. I'm just really curious as to how some fans like you think you know everything that goes on in Mariah's life, and assume that we don't see the damage. You've never had her voice, obviously no one has, so how do you know what factors influence it? How do you know she had been resting the whole time? And can't we acknowledge that a Mariah performed live for the fans? She was sad about disappointing them? She couldn't just back out. Her voice has always been fragile, and for her to still be able to sound incredible 24 years after her debut is a huge feat. Her performance was not "horrible", it had some good moments, and the rest was meh. Definitely not her worst, which is why we are so confused as to why this has garnered Whitney style media massacring. It's sad to tear her down like this. She's a legend. Her legacy is set in stone. I don't know why fans like you always think one small thing will tarnish it. As long as she still has talent, her legacy will stay. That's forever, sweetie.

Mariah proving herself (48,365) by LC from USA
I have really tried to keep mum about this whole situation because my emotions have ranged from anger to shock to disbelief to sympathy to God knows what lol. I'm known at school as a huge Mariah fan, so you have no idea how many of my friends sent me the video and came up to me at school asking me if I'd watched the performance, as if I wasn't there at 8 o'clock anticipating. Anyway, I don't want to dwell on that too much, but just briefly, I really don't see why there's so much backlash. She sounded a million miles better than Tokyo and last year's National Tree Lighting, but whatever. She's a legend. I don't care about haters anymore. But, I do think Mariah could work this to her advantage. She needs to come back again. How I wish she did the Jimmy Fallon thing this year instead of two years ago because that shut everyone up. I know she still has it, and I'm so thankful she showed it on tour. I hope she can do something, like that video of her whistling, but bigger. More impactful. Slay everyone again, Mariah. We know you can do it.

Mariah's voice (48,113) by LC from USA
I totally agree with you guys. We know Mariah's voice isn't the same, even she knows that. Why else would she lip sync? She knows that consistently singing those upper belts she's famous for will damage her voice incredibly. Look what happened after 96. We can stop talking about it. It''s been 18 years since her vocal peak. She still sounds incredible today. And, what's most impressive? She still has all 5 octaves. Did you know she sang her lowest live note in her career on this tour? F2. That's lower than most males can sing. Also, she chirped an E7, something she hasn't done since Charmbracelet or earlier. I know that compared to the 90s when she was truly the greatest singer of all time, she isn't as good. But, after 24 years, her talent is still formidable and on a good day (or bad day), she's still the greatest voice in the world.

Lol, you actually believe that Mariah was rejected from Wendy's show? Even after all of the lies and rumors Mr. Wendell has spread while constantly criticizing her? Wow. You make me laugh. First of all, Wendy said that Mariah only wanted to show her left or "good" side, and wanted to make Wendy move. Let's get a few things straight. If you've been a lamb for even a few years, or if you do a simple Google search, you'll see that Mariah is always photographed from her right side. You know how I know? It's the side without the beauty mark. Duh. So, obviously that was a lie. And continuing on that, why would Mariah make Wendy, the host, switch if the host always sits on the left, and Mariah, the guest, always sits on the right? Obviously, Mariah never did any such thing and Wendell is just a liar who is thirsty for Mariah's attention. Rumor dismissed.

My All in Sydney and New Zealand: amazing (47,923) by LC from USA

Have you guys seen these videos? Mariah sounds amazing. These are of her performing My All in Sydney and New Zealand, and she absolutely kills it. Even though the backup singers kept on singing the "feel your body, feel your body" part from the remix, Mariah chose to sing the original climax of the song undeniably live and even continued belting at the end. Especially in the New Zealand clip, she showed so much control and technique in her live singing, and also an absolute understanding of her voice that I haven't seen since the Charmbracelet Tour. I'm so proud of her. And to those that counted her out, what say you now?

I totally agree with you and have thought about this for a while now. It just doesn't make sense to me that for the deluxe editions of the album, Mariah would put remixes from the unused Angels Advocate album, and the prerecorded version of America The Beautiful that she used on the 4th of July show, when we know she has so much more material. Three years recording and writing and she only came up with 14 new songs? I doubt it. I have said it before. Why would she mention Kick Rocks? Or play that unheard song on Barbara Walters? She has more songs, better songs. I am very hopeful that Mariah will release a new album next year and attempt her long awaited comeback.

Emotions intro in Perth (47,781) by LC from USA

Did anyone see this? Mariah sang the Emotions intro live in Perth for the first time since Music Box Tour (correct me if I'm wrong). It starts around the 2:40 mark. She sounds incredible. It's amazing to me how much she's improved. She's back. Of course the media won't talk about this because they choose to focus on stupid, unnecessary issues, but whatever. All that matters is that Mariah is still the queen.

Andrew (47,726) by LC from USA
I agree with your post on Mariah not being able to let go of certain lip synced parts of her songs. Like, the first parts of the choruses of My All. Those parts are really easy for her to sing, as shown by her hitting the exact notes in later performances. Also, in Hero, when she's singing the long note in "the way", it's completely unnecessary because she sings the same note in the bridge when she sings "tear them away". I think what it really boils down to is that issue where Mariah is not confident enough to actually sing those parts because people want to hear those parts the way they were sung. It always frustrated me that Mariah would use pitched down versions of the studio recording of Without You in her live performances because those notes aren't hard for her to hit. But, we. Mariah has been improving tremendously and I am so happy for her.

Hero in Singapore once again (47,630) by LC from USA
I don't know about you, but I am so obsessed with this performance. At first, I thought it was just because of the not so great performances in Japan, but it's more than that. Hero is a song that has guided me through some of the worst moments of my life, and for the first time in a long time, Mariah sang it like she meant every single word. She sang it for herself and for everyone that has been saved by that song, and she killed it. I noticed how Perez Hilton (a major hater of everyone) just posted the video, so I hope it picks up traction with the media to once again show the world that the queen never lost it. She's here to stay.

Amazing (47,588) by LC from USA
I'm so happy to see the love back on this messageboard. But, more than that, I am so happy to see Mariah being Mariah. It's incredible to me that Mariah has improved so much since that first date in Japan. Let's face it, she was probably the worst she's ever been on stage that night, and if we compare then to now, it's just breathtaking. Her voice is so clear, powerful, strong, and once again, she's full of confidence while singing. And although her recent performances of Hero have not sparked much interest in me, this one from Singapore I have watched over and over again. It is the best performance of this song since the Charmbracelet world tour, in my opinion. Surely, this performance should reinstate her status as "The Voice". And she was consistent the whole time, like her clarity in I'll Be There. Ugh, there's just too much to say. Above anything else, I have realized that I don't care about the media. When MC was not good in Japan, I wasn't worried about public opinion, I was worried about her. I was so worried that maybe she did lose her voice and the damage was irreparable. But now, I thank God she has come back strong and recovered. Welcome back, Mariah.

Baby from Sweden (47,500) by LC from USA
Thank you so much for posting that. I just finished watching and it was beautiful. Even if this wasn't her best, it just shows that what the media made viral was uncalled for and unfair. This nearly two hours in China was a great concert. It was just amazing to see and hear the fans and their love for Mariah, especially the woman taking the video. She was screaming everytime Mariah made a high note or came back on stage and it was just incredible to feel that love. It's beautfiul to see how, at the end of the day, no matter what the press says or no matter what we fans argue about, Mariah is a legend who has touched the lives of millions in a way that no one else has. It must be incredible for her to know that people who don't even speak her language all over the world know her songs and her lyrics and her artistry. This is why we should love Mariah Carey. She is music.

Tianjin performances (47,482) by LC from USA
Seeing videos from this concert I was speechless. I really think that Mariah saw the criticism and learned from it. Or she really was just sick on the first few dates because her voice is in good condition again. That "Emotions" performance had incredible fifth octave mid belts and easily rivals or trumps her performances of that song in Australia last year. Also, her runs were incredible in that performance. She did some runs that she's never done before. She was confident and went for almost all of the higher belts that she dodged (almost embarrassingly) in the past dates. Then, her whisper voice, which was basically gone in the first few dates is fully back, as can be heard in her performances of ABMB and My All. Also, that buttery and beautiful tone and fluidity she has is already back, which you can see in Hero and WBT. Basically, those of you who said her voice was completely gone, think again, because Mariah is back.

Breadwinner article (47,453) by LC from USA
Anyway, this article made me laugh out loud. Nick is the breadwinner? Really? When Mariah made $18 million for one season of Idol? Made 3 million for 8 songs at a private concert? 2 million for four songs at a wedding? Then, this tour, which is bound to gross over $25 million worldwide? And every Christmas, she makes $500,000 from royalties of AIWFCIY and sells 400,000 albums in back catalogue sales every year? Then, there are the fragrances and her cosmetics, which have grossed $150 million all over the world since 2008? And Nick is the breadwinner? Lol.

Yes, yes we get it. Mariah is over. She will never be a superstar again. Nobody likes her except the delusional lambs of the world. Her music is trash. She is trash. MIAM is a flop that will never be successful because no one cares for her or her music anymore. Yes, you've said it all before. We get it. Try something new next time, ok? And maybe, if you are so annoyed by the "delusions" of others, you should ignore them and move along. I want new songs from Mariah and I want her to get success again, so if there is a rerelease, which if you paid attention was all speculation and fun, I will be very excited and happy and you, of course, won't. I am still hopeful. Abraham is still hopeful. You... well, you're hopeless. Have a nice life, hon.

Abraham / Mariah's age (47,444) by LC from USA

Thanks, Abraham. That's really nice of you to say. I really hope we get to hear all of those songs someday. As for Mariah's age, I think she was born in 1970. Even her own mother has said she was born then, when she and Mariah were on Oprah to talk about racism. Here's the video where she says it.

I mean, I know that this conversation is kinda long overdue lol since the album was released in May, but I do remember an interview (maybe The Breakfast Club?) where Mariah mentioned that there was a song on her album called "Kick Rocks". She sounded so excited when she said that, so when the track listing was released and it was not there, I was confused and I knew something was up. Then, there was that little snippet she sang on the Barbra Walters special. Obviously she loved the song, otherwise she would've never given us that bit. And those videos I mentioned in the background. What if Mariah will promote the album with new songs in December? Ugh, I really don't want to be disappointed, but it's so exciting.

These are the two links. This is really exciting. I really hope our speculations come true. There was a point when the same dancer posted that they had shot the video for YDKWTD, so what if Mariah really is going to do this and capitalize on her success in December? Oh, that would be amazing.

Rerelease (47,409) by LC from USA
This may be a little farfetched, but does any one think Mariah might be planning a Beyoncé-like surprise rerelease of MIAM with new songs and videos? I started thinking about it when one of Mariah's backup dancers posted a very interesting picture on Instagram with the hastags "rerelease December" "iTunes", "new single", "DefJamstopbullshitting" among others, while tagging Mariah and Rachel. He also said that they have been playing Mariah's new single in clubs all over Japan. His instagram is @eddiemobeatnecks and he is proven as Mariah's backup dancer. I just started thinking that a lot of it would make sense were it to happen. Beyoncé released her record amidst label trouble, and it's safe to assume that Mariah is going through that as well, from the lack of promo and that hashtag. Also, Bey surprised the world with her iTunes release in December. And, Beyoncé went on tour before her album release to generate buzz for the surprise in December. Also, doesn't anyone find it strange that Mariah has made so many background videos for her tour? Like those cartoon videos, that video where she, Roc and Roe are dancing around during Supernatural, the "Money" video in the background while she sang Obsessed, the extended footage behind her during Cry. She also said that she would only release the lyrics of MIAM under her own terms, in a way she wanted to. What if Mariah is trying to surprise us yet again? I sure hope so.

Mariah's improvements (47,352) by LC from USA
Mariah's Beijing concert was great. From only seeing a few clips, she sounds almost 100 percent. By that, I mean, almost Australia 2013 level. And stage appearance wise, she's gotten so much more confidence and charisma back. I strongly feel that she was sick and still is a little bit, but her vocals are getting better. Like, just when she was adlibbing live during the beginning of Fantasy and the last part of Without You, she belted notes she wasn't able to during the last few dates and what was strange was in the other dates, her whisper voice wasn't working for her when she's relied on that for a long time. That's coming back too. Ugh, now I'm getting excited. I can't wait till the later dates. Love you, MC.

Andrew, Anthony, Stephen, Edward and whoever else (47,227) by LC from USA
Do you really think all the lambs besides you and those who agree with you are stupid? I mean, really. You don't think we know the condition she's in? The condition she's been in for more than a decade? You really think that we think everything is perfect and good with Mariah's voice? You think that we don't know and haven't known that Mariah's voice today isn't even close to her voice in her prime? Wow. Maybe you should use your favorite word "delusional" on yourselves, instead. We know. We know she lip syncs. We know that she cannot hit the notes like she could in her heyday. We all heard and watched the same videos you did. She sounded bad. Really bad. She delivered some of the worst vocals of her career. But the difference between we "delusional" ones and you? We are here to support, understand. Not bash, ridicule and disrespect Mariah Carey. We care about Mariah, the person, not just the singer. And, contrary to your belief, we are not "delusional". We know that Mariah isn't at her best and we all wish she would confront her issues and get better. But we still respect her and her artistry. I know that everything you are saying is coming from a loving place, as from all of us. But, some of the things you say are borderline disrespectful, distasteful and rude. That's all I'm trying to say.

I am disgusted by what you just said. It is disgusting. Once again, I ask you and all the other "lambs", who do you think you are? You treat Mariah like you are entitled to her and her voice, like it's your voice that is in Mariah's throat. Like it's your legacy that she is allegedly tarnishing. You list all these things you want her to do, all the things you wish she was doing, as if she is some sort of robot or slave that is supposed to do what you want in order for you to like her again. And yet you call her embarrassing? You call the woman who, despite this personal turmoil, not to mention all the criticism she's getting from the media and now, with "fans" like you, still went on tour, still released this album for her fans, and still tries her best to do what fans want, as seen with her changed set list, embarrassing? You're embarrassing. That you'd put your own false, unwarranted pride over Mariah's personal troubles is the embarrassment. You don't own her, you are not entitled to her and she does not have to prove anything to you or anyone else. You are a fan. I am a fan. We are all fans. We support. And if you're done supporting, or you think she can't sing, leave the fan base. By all means. Just please stop with this disrespect.

The "lambs" (47,139) by LC from USA
I am really disgusted by some of the comments on here. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Now, I don't care if any of you call me a "delusional lamb" because I'm being optimistic and supportive. I mean, isn't that your default comeback to anyone who disagrees with your high and mighty "unbiased" opinion? None of us knows what she is going through right now and some of the comments you guys have said are truly horrible. "This is her second divorce. She was fine after the first one." Um, you act like both divorces were the same and should produce the same consequences and emotions. Mariah said that Nick was the only person she ever truly fell in love with. She didn't want kids because she didn't want to bring them up in this lifestyle, but because she was so confident that she and Nick would be together, she had them. Now, look where she is. Imagine how heartbroken she must be. Then, "I would be mortified if my friends and family saw her like this." Really? When Mariah is going through the toughest period of her life, what you care about are your feelings and your emotions and how her problems will reflect on you. Wow. I feel so bad that someone else's divorce and vocal problems will affect how people think of you. If you're mortified, imagine Mariah crying because she disappointed her fans and herself. Even when Whitney couldn't hold a note live or in studio, and the media bashed her endlessly, her loyal fans never turned on her. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Really.

Kyle (46,976) by LC from USA
I completely agree with you. Cry. is a song that people will love because it's classic Mariah. While I doubt it would do too well on the radio due to radio's bias towards Mariah and women over 40, this song would sell the album. If Mariah performed this on The View, Live With Kelly and Michael, the Queen Latifah show, as in shows that reach the adult contemporary audience, the album could experience a sales boost. But also, imagine seeing Mariah performing Cry. at SNL, or Jimmy Fallon, or Ellen. Everyone would be in awe because it's Mariah back to being Mariah. The vocal is so raw and so real, while that chorus "till we both breakdown and cry" is so memorable. It would stick and resonate. If she ever gets the chance to perform at the Grammys, I pray she sings this song. It's perfect. Also, Mariah has said before that "the labels always choose the worst selling singles" while saying that Migrate should have been a single and IWTKWLI should not have followed Obsessed.

New look (46,882) by LC from USA
Mariah looks incredible. She really hasn't looked this beautiful and radiant since her days on Idol. I think if she keeps this look up, her image will improve vastly. I don't know how to describe it, but she has that "cute, yet sexy" look going on again, that she had going on during the Music Box-Butterfly era. She just looks wonderful.
