About Marcus from Brazil: I'm from Brazil. I've been a fan of Mariah's since the first vision. I have an extensive collection of singles, magazines, and memorabilia. I've traveled almost to every country to see her live.

"Eternally 12" / nannies (49,464) by Marcus from Brazil
I think that "eternally 12" has to do with the fact she had to grow up too soon. Remember these lyrics?
But I closed my eyes
Steadied my feet on the ground
Raised my head to the sky
And though time's rolled by
Still feel like a child
As I look at the moon
Maybe I grew up
A little too soon
Then she refers to herself as "that woman-child". As for the Nannies, Mariah clearly said she changes nannies as often as she changes her underwear. And I don't doubt the fact that she was demanding. But to dismiss these ladies just because Mariah can do no wrong is kind of ridiculous to me. If any of those nannies were your sister or mother, some of you guys would be singing a different song. Thank God people get the chance to show evidence to prove their cases, it's only fair both parties.

Mariah, the classy one (49,147) by Marcus from Brazil
If these rumors are true, for now they have changed the lyrics from "blanks checks" to "blank texts", I don't think Mariah should invest her time, effort and lyrics in a man like Nick. It's just not worthy. It is not like Nick is Eminem and he is going to have a smash hit from a wack ass song. The man can't write a rhyme for all is worth. Mariah, for the sake of her two precious babies, and for future reference, shouldn't address him at all. Class speaks volumes, while she's been classy, he's been looked at as a childish gold digger clown.

Vegas / my thoughts (49,131) by Marcus from Brazil
I've almost been everywhere to see Mariah, but Vegas is not one them. I'm selfishly excited she's taking signing for a residency. It is amazing to know that one can hop on a plane, and go see her perform without any complications. Since Mariah will do Mariah, I can only support her decision and wish her good luck. She's definitely not going to go with the EDM trend, so it is ok if she goes to Vegas for a while while she regroups, and maybe get inspired again.

Special K / B (49,128) by Marcus from Brazil
Special K, where the hell have you been? Your last post was 7 months and 19 days ago. I had already filed a missing person report with Eric. Welcome back. Bill, thanks for the compliment.

Shelly / disagreements (49,081) by Marcus from Brazil
Shelly, I first would like to say that I enjoy your posts, and I think you are a sweet person. I was going to ask you to keep your face pic as your avatar the other day, since to me it gave more soul to your posts, but I forgot. As for my last post, the thing is that nobody needs to convince anybody of being fan, and nobody is entitled to label who is one or not. When you thanked Amber C for having created an account to ruin the mood on the board, I thought it was rude and unwelcoming. We can all agree or agree to disagree, but how we express our disagreements makes a huge difference. Many things and opinions have been said about the possibility of a residency in Vegas, some I don't agree with, but that's all it is, nobody can really ruin my mood unless I allow it. Peace.

The hating game (49,078) by Marcus from Brazil
Here we go again. Some people here can't stand the fact that others have different opinions. As soon as you don't agree with what they say or the mood they like the messageboard to be in, they start the name calling, "haters" and "so called fans" are preferred, others call to jump on the ban wagon of the hating game. The sense of entitlement of some people here is really out of this world. If you don't like a post, take a chill pin, and keep on being as positive as you want to be, but don't try to make people think or act like you, that would be boring as hell. It ain't that serious, it is a messageboard with people that evidently are going to have different opinions.

Angel Adrian / the collection (48,797) by Marcus from Brazil
Angel Adrian, Eric stopped updating the discography ever since singles went all digital. It was fun having different versions from different countries and stuff like that, but now it is not that fun anymore. Anybody can get anything digitally nowadays. Buying albums is not necessarily consider collecting.

Lee TS / mystery tape (48,748) by Marcus from Brazil
Lee TS, I almost had a heart attack when I saw that pic. Can you imagine finally being able to listen to, not only the demo recording for "Vision of Love", "Vanishing", "All Alone In love", but also songs like "Hypnotized", "Unspoken Emotions" and "Here We Go Around Again"? Since Mariah was fishing for labels back then, somebody must've kept one of those demos somewhere, and I think that could possibly be one of them. I'm pretty sure she handed plenty of them to different people from the music industry. I hope Mariah's people don't get to them before they leak it.

Edward, Andrew, goats in disguise, Beacon Theater (48,717) by Marcus from Brazil
I'm still in heaven that I got to see Mariah last night at the Beacon Theater. It was an extraordinary experience. Mariah look stunning, was in very good spirits, and sung with confidence and grace. When Mariah takes care of her instrument, she can still sing very well. Lady Gaga and Mariah should collaborate. Edward, thanks a lot for showing me a good time, and for the mini-tour, I had a wonderful time. It is sad you can't come to tonight's show too. Those who like the name-calling, I hope you don't get to see Mariah live ever, she doesn't deserve to be in the presence of such spiteful goats disguised as lambs. Yes, you self-righteous name-callers are goats disguised as lambs. I'll be seeing the queen again tonight again. Mariah said "I love you" when she saw my sign. Don't hate. Andrew, keep it coming, goats will hate and fade away, fans will stay.

Guess who's coming to town? (48,661) by Marcus from Brazil
I'm flying to NY to see Mariah on Sunday and Monday. Now that she has added three non Christmas songs to the set list, I feel I'll be in heaven. I just wanted to share my enthusiasm.

B, Abraham / lovebirds (48,417) by Marcus from Brazil
Abraham, now that B has made his face public, we can't wait to see yours too. B, nice pic. I hope you two don't take your romance to Facebook, it started her, so it should remain here. The way your messages compliment each other, especially nearing Christmas, is beyond this world. Abraham, please post more. Don't let B do all the posting.

B and Abraham / Mariah (48,399) by Marcus from Brazil
B and Abraham, it is so nice to see two lambs fall in love on MCArchives. I've always known there was something about you two. I even thought you guys were the same person, but now with B's confession I see there was some cyber-spiritual connection between you two. As for Mariah, the fact that her name can still cause such a stir means that she's still very relevant. There's not such thing as bad press, since AIWFCIY is still climbing. The tree lighting performance has shifted people's attention to Mariah, now is her time to capitalize on it. I'm pretty sure if Mariah warms up enough, she might deliver a consistent performance. Practice makes perfect, and she has a studio home. If she karaokes her songs before rehearsal, she would be just fine.

Abraham, Justin (48,158) by Marcus from Brazil
Abraham, my point exactly. Even though Mariah is my favorite, there has been many other female singers before her with impressive catalogs, and some of those paved the way for her, and Mariah's acknowledged it. Diana Ross is a true diva, her presence alone is entertaining. I don't follow her music, but credit where is due. Justin, I can definitely agree to disagree, but I'm not OK when someone based on their guidelines questions my love or dedication to Mariah. You decided to pick the part of my statement about the concerts when that was clearly to illustrate my point, it wasn't the only nice thing I said about Mariah. If you told me you've been going to Mariah's concerts since you were six, and got straight A's to win that, I would think you are a dedicated fan. And about the decrease of her live performances, the facts can be accessed online, I don't see the harshness on stating the truth.

B, Justin / the heads of Mariah's fan committee (48,148) by Marcus from Brazil
B, Justin, who are you to question whether I'm a real fan or not? Out 199 shows Mariah has performed during her entire tour life, I've been to 35, yes, three and four times to the same concert, that's how much of a fan I am. When you've accomplished that, come again. Mariah has always been an inspiration to me, to the point that since I was 6 until I was 12 my parents flew me out of the country to see her, I had to pull straight A's at school to win that. It just irks me to see the delusion of some people when they act like religious/cult fanatics. Baby is always talking about Mariah as if she was a helpless idiot, and I simply don't like it. In his/her mind, anything negative in Mariah's life is somebody else's fault. Mariah has been victimized, but she also has made mistakes, and been a fighter. To come here and paint Mariah as this goddess is kind of creepy to me, especially when Baby's pulling facts off his/her behind. As for Ariana, when she's at the level of the divine 3, Mariah, Whitney and Celine, then I'll consider been a fan. I like her first album though.

Baby, baby, one more time? (48,135) by Marcus from Brazil
Baby's delusion: "Mariah is in great shape vocally and always has been. The only difference is that the frequency of her live performances has increased magnanimously from her debut to now." If there were a cult called Mariah, you would definitely be a hardcore indoctrinated member. In your eyes, Mariah is a victim of all her circumstances, Nick, the media, her friends, her so called fans, her nodules. She is not responsible for anything, she's just been wronged. Mariah is definitely in good shape vocally, but to say great would be an overstatement. Up until 2000 she delivered 6, 9, 12 and 19 shows per tour respectively, with 2 and 3 years in between, how is that magnanimous? The Charmbracelet tour put her in great shape vocally because she delivered 69 shows, her biggest tour so far. Since then her live performances have decreased dramatically. Mariah is a human being with problems like the rest of us, she's not a goddess who can't do not wrong, she makes mistakes and goes through what most of us go through. Be realistic with your ranting if you want to be taken seriously.

I don't wanna cry was about Tommy (48,043) by Marcus from Brazil
I can't help but laughing out loud. Now all Mariah catalog is about Derek Jeter when songs are sweet, when they are bitter they are about Tommy. Some people are such hypocrites, they talk about Nick's supposed cheating on Mariah, calling him names and such when they have not evidence of him cheating, yet they candidly talk about Mariah's supposed cheating on Tommy with Derek Jeter. The delusion is on its all-time high. Things we know for sure: Butterfly, Side Effects were about Tommy, Thank God I Found You was about Luis Miguel, as stated by Mariah, not by speculation. Not everything Mariah writes is about her relationships, she would've been emotional dead by now lol. It is funny though seeing how convincingly many fans here state which song was for whom as if they had a private conversation with Mariah or Trey, lol. I love it people, I love it. Oh sorry, I was having an Oprah moment.

Baby, baby, one more time (47,961) by Marcus from Brazil
Now Nick's out there to get Mariah. He married her just to use her. He creates fakes accounts to put out rumours about her. He damaged her career. Baby, you're either the best private long distance investigator or borderline paranoid. You're really underestimating and at the same time insulting Mariah's intelligence. I guess you think Mariah's is a mentally handicapped 12 years old who just happens to write beautiful lyrics. Maybe Nick put something in Mariah's tea so she couldn't sing well the first few shows of her tour. I hope you don't go through your very own e-glitter moment. Mariah is a very strong, intelligent, independent woman. She's looking relaxed and happy, and most likely talks to the "monster" everyday. The only thing we know for sure is that Nick wasn't ever there, the rest is pure speculation.

Ty / Don't Forget About Us (47,932) by Marcus from Brazil

Ty, what are you, a religious fanatic? That time Mariah got a papercut I'm pretty sure you thought it was stigmata. Get off your high horse, Mariah isn't Jesus, Oprah is, lol. Now focusing on something positive like "real fans" do, I'm loving the fact Mariah is looking more confident on stage. I love the "Don't Forget About Us" performance.

Ty / finally (47,930) by Marcus from Brazil
Ty, when you feel like a post is personally affecting you that much, consider a Tylenol and a Dramamine. When I look at your posts, I breathe deep, and skip to the next one. See how easy it is? If I want to talk about lipsyncing, you could pretend your opinion is law and tell me not to do it 10,000 times, but that would still mean nothing to me. So, don't waste your time. State your opinion, respect others'. Be nice or leave, you can be pretty rude.

My All / much more convincing (47,927) by Marcus from Brazil
Those performances of "My All" were partially lipped but nonetheless decent. At least she's not doing her signature look-at-me I'm-lipping-now movements. During the past few shows she's upped her lipsyncing to the difficult parts like a professional, to the point where it looks more convincing and in sync, that's why they call it lipsync, duh. Now she only has to work on being on pitch when she switches from lipping to her current voice because sometimes the transition is kind of evident. I personally think she'll wrap it up with the US Christmas mini tour. We love her here in Brazil, but I doubt she'll be on the road again once she's done on December. Having dem babies traveling around the world could be a little bit too much for them.

For the instigators / Cry (47,555) by Marcus from Brazil

For those haters who thought that Mariah couldn't lip-sync for her life anymore, here's the proof that she still can. She lipped "Cry" perfectly in Kuala Lumpur. Her voice is back.

RJJ12, Mimi L / the truth (47,426) by Marcus from Brazil
RJJ12, you are so right. You were just posting videos of Mariah to compliment her, not to put her down. I think reading comprehension is very important. It seems to be some people read two lines from a post and then start spiting fire without looking at the context. Most of us got what you were conveying, you didn't have to explain yourself. As you said, the fact that Nick has revealed publicly his new tattoo replacing Mariah's name should be enough to know those two are not getting back together. It is not a rumor anymore. Mimi L., your post was as clear as water, you shouldn't pay for others' lack of reading comprehension or any comprehension at all. Always remember that we are less fans than the "super fans". You didn't to have to explain yourself either.

Travon (47,416) by Marcus from Brazil
For you to be such a religious person, you should close your eyes, have two seats, and let others pray in peace. It ain't that deep. You can't pray standing up too, there are no rules. Mariah will appreciate it.
(Monday 13 October 2014; 22:38)
Ian James / prayers (47,408) by Marcus from Brazil
Ian James, amen to your last post. It is ridiculous that even suggesting prayers for Mariah could be an issue for some. I'm not religious, but I when someone suggest to say a prayer for her, I see it as act of love for her. Why else would you want to pray for her?

Matthew / what difference does it make? (47,354) by Marcus from Brazil
Matthew, I think nobody cares much about the production of Mariah's concerts as long as she sings well. I'm not trying to be negative, but changing any aspect of the show when the main instrument is not working properly won't save the day. Mariah remixes are usually way more difficult to sing than the originals, let's say Heartbreaker (If You Should Ever Be Lonely), she couldn't pull that one. My All is one of the rare ones whose remix is easier on her vocals, and that's why she always switch into it with the help of the background singers. Mariah's concerts have always been criticized, but her voice had never been tin question on any of them until recent. Beyonce, Madonna, Britney can camouflage anything changing things around because they don't only do one thing. With Mariah I think the gimmicks don't work, she only has her voice and that's what people focus one. Whitney was another one that only had her voice to fall back on.
