Mariah's voice (113,239) by Giovanni from USA I'm glad we're finally discussing the current state of Mariah's voice. There are many fans who are delusional and who are in denial. I really think Mariah doesn't care and has just accepted how she sounds and like Edward said it's sad. I really do like HFIA but it would be so much better and enjoyable if Mariah had her MOAIA or Caution voice. I appreciate her giving us another album but I believe there is something that happened or something that's going on and why her voice sounds the way it does. I read that medications can cause dryness and inflammation and that's what we hear. I feel so bad as I'm typing this because I feel as though I'm trashing her but I'm not. Nodules (113,228) by Giovanni from USA I doubt Mariah had her nodules removed. The success rate for nodules removal especially today is high. If anything she would sound better. Her problem is she doesn't take care of her voice like she used to like in her younger days. A lot of fans say she has vocal damage but I disagree it's definitely the champagne. Vocal damage can be fixed. One of the things I love about the Caution album is that her voice sounds very good especially in. Even during the pandemic she showed she was in a good place vocally. I don't wanna judge Mariah but I definitely think she turned to drinking to cope with something. A lot of people in the industry turn to drugs or drinking to cope with the stress life of being an artist or because of loneliness/depression. I sometimes think would she be in a better place emotionally had she and Nick still been together. Even with Bryan she looked very happy and alive which makes me believe she might feel lonely at times. I truly believe her kids help a lot and give her a reason to live. First, she needs a Diane Warren collaboration theme song for an upcoming new movie or sequel. Second, she needs a JD and Johnta Austin follow-up to We Belong Together without repeating the same formula. Third, MC needs a high profile collaboration this year. It got way too political and the performances were awful. Bad Bunny winning album of the year was the shocker of the night for me. I really thought Gaga was going to take it. Where was Kelly Clarkson, Ariana, Bruno Mars, Yolanda Adams, Usher, Beyonce even Patti Labelle? I did surprisingly enjoy Kesha and Charlie Puth's performance. Billy Porter was awful and I don't think ABMB was appropriate for him. He was also giving me Whitney Houston in drag with that hair. Third Christmas album (113,080) by Giovanni from USA Before 2025 I really didn't care for Christmas or Christmas music, I'm much more of a Thanksgiving guy but now I appreciate Christmas much more. Acknowledging and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. I consider myself both a liberal and conservative person when it comes to religion. I absolutely believe in God and have starting liking gospel and Christian music as of late. I really appreciate Mariah making both Christmas albums especially the second. In fact I like Merry Christmas II You much more. Her voice sounds mature and her tone and vibrato sound better. Mariah was taking care of her voice when she was pregnant. Her rendition of "The First Noel" is fantastic and beautiful. I would love a third Christmas album one day. Maybe we can get a duet with Roe. (Sunday 25 January 2026; 07:22)

I also believe "I don't" could have been a hit if it was a solo. The video is terrible though in my opinion. I enjoy HFIA for what it is. Mariah proved she still can write and produce a decent record. All I want from her is to work on her voice and continue doing the music that makes her happy. So epic and showing the world she still could sing while also having fun. I would love for her to do something like that again soon. Her voice was in such good shape in 2013. MC17 (113,005) by Lainsky from Philippines I feel the same way, Giovanni, I prefer "Caution" over "HFIA". I've been dreaming about an album where Mariah Carey returns to her beginnings. I envision a sound reminiscent of her earlier work, similar to her first albums up to "Daydream". It would have a pop vibe with a touch of R&B, featuring elements like those found in "Fantasy" or "Dreamlover", as well as "Love Takes Time" or "Without You", and songs akin to "Underneath the Stars" or "Can't Let Go" Additionally, it would be great to hear another remake or duet, which has become a tradition on her albums. I hope she titles the album something like "Nostalgia", "Old School", "Back Then", or "Classic", something that fits the overall theme. (Wednesday 14 January 2026; 05:37)

Emotions album (112,996) by Giovanni from USA I love the Emotions album, very mature and cohesive. The only song I skip is "You're so cold". I have always said "Emotions" is Mariah's best song while some might say "Fantasy" is. "Can't let go", "Make it happen" along with "Till the end of time" make the album in my opinion. I would have swapped out "You're so cold" for "Can you hear me", also "Emotions" song really deserved a Grammy. (Tuesday 13 January 2026; 19:40)

Rock the Boat by Aaliyah (112,939) by Giovanni from USA I was giving Aaliyah's album from 2001 a listen and it's such good album and "Rock the boat" could have easily been done by Mariah. I wonder if MC likes the song lol. I know it's kind of explicit but who cares, the beat is good. I so wish Aaliyah was still here, sometimes life is so unfair.
