Article: Mariah Carey wants $27M for her NYC penthouse triplex (113,600) by Bobby A from United States If MC had at least her TEOM era voice in 2026, she would be recording a new album and getting ready for a tour in 2027. I think she has reached a point with her current voice that we shouldn't expect a full new album or tour anytime soon. Now unless she receives some vocal PT sessions with a vocal coach, we will have to wait to see how she sounds in 2028. Maybe I am wrong and JD is working his magic in the studio pairing his bounce with her current voice. His bounce hasn't been paired with her current voice until this year. MC17 (113,605) by Giovanni from USA I don't know if I asked this before so if I did I apologize. What direction do some of you want Mariah to take with the next album? For me I would like more r&b with a touch of pop. Unfortunately r&b is kind of dead right now, most artists are doing pop/adult contemporary. Mariah was able to pull off r&b with Caution so maybe she could do it again but I think she needs something like "Beautiful" or "Dreamlover". I heard Pharrell Williams was contacted by a legendary female artist so I wonder if it was Mariah, Beyonce or someone else? Production is so good and reminds me of music from 2005/2006 and her belting at the end reminds of her belting on TEOM. "I don't" is actually good too and should have been on Caution but "Faded" is one of my favorites from MIAM along with "Dedicated" and "You don't know what to do". (Monday 13 April 2026; 05:47)

Her episode of Cribs is probably the best and was my favorite, so many memories there for her I'm sure. I'm gonna miss seeing her walk out and having paparazzi waiting to take pics. Mariah is a superstar in NYC with paparazzi. I am so curious as to who will purchase that luxurious crib. (Monday 13 April 2026; 05:35)

HATE U remix (113,534) by Giovanni from USA Okay I just wanna say as a fan I do not care about SUD, I want the Angels Advocate album released. I was just playing the "HATE U" remix and it's a bop. Mariah sampling Ghost Town DJs "My boo" is fire. Just imagine if she had sampled it during the Butterfly era. Mariah is definitely the queen of remixes and I am proud to own The Remixes album. "Honey" is my favorite Mariah song along with "Dreamlover" and "Don't forget about us". Mariah ate with "Honey" and it's so raunchy how it's all one man, Derek Jeter haha. Honey (113,529) by Bill from the UK I had to stop by to say that I've been listening to Honey ad nauseam recently. The song is pure ear candy. The merging of the two samples and how well they come together, the cascading strings, the wall of sound vocals, Mariah's rasp in her voice. What a launchpad to the "New Mariah" it was. And that video. Iconic and epic. That opening verse as she meanders around that slinky beat is pure fire. What a song and what a moment it was. (Thursday 2 April 2026; 20:15)

Glitter (113,532) by Giovanni from USA You all didn't have to do MC like that, I understand Mariah is no Meryl Streep but it was her first movie role, give her a break. She was better in Tennessee and Precious. Mariah definitely made an improvement and I'm sure with acting lessons she would have been better and could have done more roles. The Glitter album is good and I agree her voice bounced back from Rainbow and was more fuller and stronger. It's very interesting to hear the voice transition from Glitter to Charmbracelet. Brandy is an r&b legend and "Have you ever" is still one of my favorites. I wish she and Mariah had collaborated because they're [sic] voices blend so well together. I really think if she took it easy on the meds, drinking and worked with a vocal coach she could remain some of that angelic tone and range. It has been very interesting seeing a lot of artists express their love and admiration for her. MC still has it she just needs to work for it if she wants it. I know he can give MC a fresh beat that could make Hot 100 radio play MC again. 1. MC's needs another DJ Mustard collaboration. 2. I would love another collaboration with Ariana Grande produced by Nova Wav. 3. Where is our long overdue JD collaboration? It reminds me of the dress she's wearing on the back cover of the debut album. Also you can hear how younger and clearer her talking voice was compared to now. I really wish she would ditch those meds honestly. I'm hoping she does something before the release of her next album. Charmbracelet to Caution vocals compared (113,441) by Bobby A from United States Happy Friday everyone. I have a vocal decline theory. I think I have figured out what caused MC's vocal decline from Glitter to Caution. Before Charmbracelet, MC's voice could relatively bounce back from vocal fatigue after vocal rest. However, when she started taking her bipolar medication after the Glitter album was completed, this is when we could hear a dramatic change in her voice with each post Glitter album. Caution gave us the most dramatic and noticable change in her voice that we had seen prior to HFIA in 2025. In my opinion, it has to be the bipolar medication that has caused MC's vocal decline. Her speaking voice has been affected as well. You can definitely hear how MC's speaking voice is coarse and not as fluid at times like it was 20 years ago during the TEOM era. Can someone elaborate more with an analysis of my theory that her bipolar medication is the real catalyst that caused her vocal decline? (Friday 20 March 2026; 10:14)

Amerie I Thing / Touch album (113,440) by Giovanni from USA Amerie's "I thing" [sic] is still such a banger in 2026. It will forever be one of the best hits of 2005 and man 2005 was such a great year for albums and music. I remember buying Amerie's album and how much I enjoyed it. She definitely deserved that Grammy nomination but our girl Mimi took it. Touch is one of my favorite albums and Amerie is such an amazing talent and she deserved so much more success. If you listen to the song "Just like me" you can hear Mariah all over that song. We need to bring back 2005 and 2002 r&b again because music today is kind of boring. Can a past song make it on Billboard? Definitely should have been a hit. Also I played "Prisoner" a couple of times. It definitely should have been another single and could have been another number one for MC. It's so 1990 and Mariah's vocals and rap verses are fire. I can't believe how young she was and was able to sound so amazing and write and produce at that age. I think the music video would have been MC walking around NYC at night. Anyways I will always love her 1990 curls and how shy she was. Definitely the best debut album out of any female artist. I absolutely love the album cover as well, one of her best.
