Re: Superbowl Halftime Show (92,726) (92,728) by Aliya from Canada I think the Superbowl halftime show is more for visual entertainment, dancing and performers with great stage presence. Less for amazing vocalists like Mariah Carey. That's why it would be great if she could perform the National Anthem again, at the Superbowl. Re: Charmbracelet (92,575) (92,591) by Aliya from Canada Charmbracelet is absolutely my favorite album by Mariah Carey. It is exactly my style. Her tone is just too beautiful and velvety. I love the R and B. I love her belting, especially at the end of Subtle Invitation, blows my mind. How her voice can do that is beyond me. Her control of her vocals, breathing and the strength of her voice is insane. My favorite song of all time is the song Yours. I love the layering of her vocals. Her vocal placements and every sound she makes. It's just so peaceful and the harmonies and instrumentals are just... wow. Highly under-rated album. My favorite album. Perfection. Re: Mariah (92,459) (92,471) by Aliya from Canada I think Mariah's songwriting ability is truly highlighted in songs such as Babydoll and We Belong Together. She effortlessly paints a picture in my head and makes listeners sympathize with her because she lets her emotions flow. It's beautiful. Mariah could definitely be a successful novelist if she wanted to. I would love for her to capture moments like these in future songs. Not to mention, in both of these songs, her voice was fire. Re: Who hasn't MC collaborated / revisit previous collab (91,889) (91,895) by Aliya from Canada I love the R&B music Mariah has put out, including her songs with rappers. I love songs like "One and Only" featuring Twista, and "Say Somthin" with Snoop Dogg. For this reason, if Mariah collaborated with the right rappers, these songs could really be a hit. I would love her to work with rappers like J. Cole. He has a song with Jhene Aiko called "Sparks Will Fly", and I can see Mariah taking on a song like that, only with better vocals of course. And I think her "bad gal" image has propelled her, as well as working with other artists. I think Celine Dion and Whitney Houston are the only vocalists that even come close to Mariah.
