About ADAM from USA: I love MC music

Re: TMZ (63,860) (63,868) by ADAM from USA
It's incredible how trashy she's developed her career into. All the tax leaks with gossip and photos from her team. To her showing up in a bra and panties in public. Who is this chick? Where is the respected musician? Mother of 2? Fiancée? She really is lost in her own hype. It's amazing how warped she is to get anyone to talk about her and still see her as a sex icon. I guess when you can't see relevant music anymore and lose the weight off your face and body like your 25 yo you just give zero xxx and walk outside naked nowadays. Interesting. She just keeps digging herself deeper and deeper. There's no conspiracy out to get her or Tommy or JLo. Have several seats MC.

Re: Stop drinking the Kool Aid (63,865) (63,867) by ADAM from USA
I agree. While she sounds amazing on this last leg of the Vegas shows, personally she seems out of it. Her flaunting her T&A to the most to her flaunting her diamonds to whoever will listen. She is not fooling anyone with her phony fiancé and her "see me like I'm 12" facade. She is certainly spiraling out of control. I'm just glad that the children have Nick as a stable secure father who has a extended family that loves them.

Re: Mariah's Orlando tweet (63,349) (63,352) by ADAM from USA
Exactly. This tragedy in Orlando has been a global event and yet not a peep from her. Could her recent interview with Pride magazine be anymore generic? I thought her answers were so canned and overarching that it could be applied to any sub group or audience. She once again has proven that she will say anything to not alienate one group over another when in actuality gays have been keeping her relevant and rich for all these years when the general public has written her off as a joke and has-been who lost her voice.

Re: Yeah it sucks (63,342) (63,351) by ADAM from USA
Randy I really appreciate your insight and agree with your previous statements about her live performances. I don't consider it bashing or mean spirited. This is a fan-site and I visit this site regularly to engage and read about multiple viewpoints about Mariah Carey. She is not perfect and certainly does things that warrant criticism. I think it's healthy to debate topics like these and hope that you don't become swayed to no longer be honest on this forum because some people think this should be a pep rally for all things wonderful about Mariah who does everything perfect and 100%.

Re: Repetitive Vegas show (63,321) (63,324) by ADAM from USA
I don't know why she couldn't sing acapella after each era of #1s. She couldn't sing some of her favorite non single songs? She's just so lazy. I love how the premise of SSFT was that she's change up her songs based on each city and yet she never did outside of Fly Like A Bird. It's funny because as much as she complains about singing the same ballads all the time, she does nothing to change it when she can.

Re: Repetitive Vegas show (63,298) (63,316) by ADAM from USA
I know. I feel like she hyped up so much that she was going to make small changes to the show for repeat visitors and yet its always the same hack. Same thing for SSFT. She's lazy. She has such a big catalog of songs to sing and could take 10 minutes in a 1.5 hour show so sing acapella some obscure cuts for fans and yet always does not. It really bothers me. This is not something the band has to rehearse or needs an additional costume change. I keep thinking what she did during Jimmy Kimmel's outdoor show where she sang The Roof was clever and appropriate to sing whatever fans requested in the room. How amazing would it have been to go to Vegas and hear her sing Breakdown, Sllpping Away, Prisoner, or Do You Think Of Me?

Mariah on IG/Snap Chat with Bryan and DJ Suss One (63,236) by ADAM from USA
Has anyone seen the recent vids from last night posted on IG/Snapchat where MC is exhibiting THOT-like behavior? Theres 4 clips of Bryan and DJ drinking hard liquor while Mariah is posing awkwardly in the background with a tight slip dress pushing up her boobs up and is very tight all around. At the same time she blows air kisses to DJ Suss and sticks out her T&A towards the camera. All this from someone whose engaged and a mother of 2. Very interesting to say the least. I guess she would be ok if Nick Cannon did the same thing while they were married or James? Yeah right. She doesn't even like other females on the same stage as her. I get Mariah likes to have fun I would not be surprised the James Packer thing was just a cover up and her feelings were not invested into it. His status is what's keeping her attached. Does anyone else agree or disagree?

Re: Article: Gaga fans start petition to stop Madonna and Mariah (63,004) (63,005) by ADAM from USA
I think you're misinformed. Just because Mariah has gay people in her entourage and personal friends she has not made overt strides within the gay community to warrant an award from GLAAD. I agree with Gaga's fans that she is more deserving of that award. Gaga explicity supported the gay community before she became a star and still does in no unclear terms like Mariah does. Mariah has always generalized any statements about her music for all fans and not made any specific statements or overtures addresses the gay community or our struggles. She's never performed at Pride events or denounced any public figures who spoke of any anti gay rhetoric. Just because she allowed her image to be used on the cover of several gay magazines and referenced 2 gay men during her childhood who helped her mom does not make her a gay ally. With someone of Mariah's stature and influence among spiritual/black community, Mariah had the potential to become a real icon for the gay movement if she wanted to but she has not. I'm not saying she should. I'm just stating facts and correcting any false pretense that Mariah is a gay ally or rightful recipient of a GLAAD award.

Re: Mariah fabulous life (62,997) (62,998) by ADAM from USA
I just wish that interviewers wouldn't play into her tangents or diva antics. Why won't interviewers just re-direct her to answer questions like a normal guest and not give the same canned responses she always gives? I think Mariah is given too much control during interviews. Just sit down and talk about the product you're here to promote. It's incredible how all her appearances in the media are always about her lifestyle and not about any substance. She has such a long career and so many topics ones could possibly ask her about and yet Mariah's team consistently approves each media outlet to ask the same questions about her wedding, children, and jewelry. Such a shame. They could ask her about recording new music, changing her sound, working with new producers, her ideas about recording a covers album, changing her hair color, anything else. Is anyone else just as frustrated by the missed opportunities? At least up until 2002 Mariah would answer fan questions about her career using Twitter and her website. Nowadays she's not involved in any form of contact with her fans. Not including the staged "Mariah World" scenes with her fans backstage.

Re: The Lopez resolution (62,989) (62,993) by ADAM from USA
I agree with your statement. This is such a divisive topic on this board. So much time has passed and yet Mariah is still catty and mean spirited about this woman. Mariah has said so many passive aggressive comments about JLo from her not producing or writing her own music to her "being just a dancer" so her IDK shade in many interviews (Allure magazine, Mirabella magazine, Hot97 interview with Star). It just all is bitter. I am a fan of both woman and feel that if Mariah were to put her ego to the side that they actually have the potential to become friends as they have a lot in common. However I just think that Mariah and many fans are way too insecure and invested in drama to really have that happen. While I agree that Tommy Mottola used JLo's record to swap music samples, I don't believe that JLo was even aware of such a thing nor should be blamed as a result for some personal vendetta that Tommy had against Mariah. It's clear that they were romantically involved and Tommy used his influence in music to try and sabotage her upcoming projects. And before I get torn to shreds let's not forget how Mariah was romantically involved with a married Tommy Mottola with who had 2 kids at the time. I'm not judging Mariah for what she "knew" for didn't want to know, I'm just proving a point that anyone could be kept in the dark about a situation. Mariah needs to stop trying to create gossip and drama and start remembering how humble she used to be when she had no fame, fortune, nor food on her table.

Re: Gwen (62,965) (62,969) by ADAM from USA
Maybe I also need to let go or adjustment my expectations of Mariah. I guess I'm in disbelieve still that everything Mariah is public or interviewed she continues to convey this uber-wealthy diva gimmick and is all about the lighting and angles vs the musician who is here to promote music made from her soul. The truth is she's been like this for many years and I just think I haven't let go of what she used to be. I'm not referring to her singing ballads but to the musician who was serious about her craft and image. I just feel like she's a joke and a caricature of what she probably thought she'd never be when she started in the game. I feel like she's cementing her legacy not as an artist but as a Marilyn Monroe wannabe diva who sometimes sings. I think she really emulates her life to be like Marilyn and is lost excess and her own fame. Does anyone else feel the same way? I can't remember the last time she gave a serious interview or answered questions without sounding like an airhead or showed off her wealth in some kind of way. You would think that as time goes on she would be the most secure in front of the camera but instead she is incapable of being recorded on camera without pulling, tugging, or directing some sort of lighting. Who is this person anymore?

Re: The blame game (62,656) (62,657) by ADAM from USA
Lol. Thanks Andrew for your commentary. I could not agree more. It amazes me how some people still can't grasp the concept that a grown 46 year old woman who has achieved fame and fortune simply put is just not as invested in her career or fans as she once was. For many years now, Mariah has distanced herself away from communicating directly with her fans and has alienated any opinions from friends or family member who try to give her real talk. She has created this bubble she's orbiting in and likes it that way. I just find it scary how so many people still find blame in every other person that's not Mariah for her mistakes.

Re: TMZ (62,547) (62,575) by ADAM from USA
It appears Mariah is running away from her problems. I mean look at how fast she got together with James after Nick. You never see Mariah and James alone and when they're together they're with her entourage. What kind of fiancee puts up with that in the best moments of courtship? I think James will see the light before they get married. Mariah really traded one bad encourage for another set. At this point in her career and age I don't blame anyone for taking advantage of her - I think she's the problem and never addresses the issues within herself. She seems to continuously make decisions based on money and attention (American Idol, Virgin Records, reality TV to name a few, diva persona, etc).

Re: Photoshoot (62,556) (62,574) by ADAM from USA
I wouldn't read too much into this photoshoot. It could be publicity stills for the reality show or a magazine shoot. Mariah hasn't recorded any new music yet so I think it's farfetched to think it's for a new music project.

Wendy Williams (62,573) by ADAM from USA
Wendy announced today during the end of her interview with Andre Leon Talley that she was going to discuss with him behind the scenes his thoughts on what Lee Daniels said about Mariah doing reality TV. Wendy said she agreed with Lee and that she would air Andre's thoughts on the issue on the next show or the After Show (airs on her YouTube channel every afternoon).

Re: The most overrated MC song and what's better (62,428) (62,435) by ADAM from USA
Her most overrated songs are "Don't Forget About Us" and "Touch My Body". Both these songs are so dull and simplistic and repeats of former hits she's had in the past ("WBT"). I really wish "Slipping Away" was apart of the Daydream album and was performed in concert. It's easily one of her best songs of all-time. Amazing lyrics and vocal compositions.

Re: Yes, you do know her (62,396) (62,414) by ADAM from USA
I could not agree more with your post. I really so badly want to root for her but I feel like every promotional appearance and social media post is always drowned in pettiness and this over the top lavish lifestyle. It's like since she can't promote quality music or current music stats she gloats the world with her obnoxious lifestyle. I would not be surprised if the reason why she even dated James Packer in the first place because he's a billionaire and what better way to one up Nick Cannon and any other diva in the game than by bagging a billionaire. She seems completely lost in her excess lifestyle and has no friends outside of her manager and her managers teenage daughters. Very sad to watch another downfall of another music icon.

Re: Yes, you do know her (62,388) (62,390) by ADAM from USA
I don't know why Andy didn't mention Jennifer's nice comment about Mariah from her first visit. Do you remember when Jennifer said she would like to be friends with Mariah and that anything that's been put out there in the press that's negative really hurts her feelings because she's always respected Mariah. She also said that My All was one of her favorites all-time songs. To me, that was such a beautiful and sincere expression that I don't think if Mariah was informed of that she would still harbor shade towards Jennifer. Mariah's recent appearance on WWHL didn't help bridge the gap between the two. I think by her not answering if she seems cool or not makes Mariah appear bitter and jealous. I think Mariah unfortunately nowadays has fully embodied the diva persona to where it's now longer an at but her personality. I really think she has become a shell of her former self in the worse way. Seeing her flinch and always prop her hair or lighting like a Barbie doll is so grating, I don't know how long James will put up with it. I think it's just a matter of time before the mystique of being with Mariah Carey wears off and the divadom sets in that this woman is lost and confused.

Re: Memoirs vs Rainbow (62,061) (62,065) by ADAM from USA
I like your assessment of the 2 albums. I agree. I feel she's not adventurous outside of RnB and Hip Hop. It's like we get it. You love these 2 genres and will always make records in these veins however I think she needs to push herself and make bolder choices. Beyonce is a excellent example of this with Lemonade. She has a country song, clubs songs, introspective songs, and angry songs. I just feel Mariah repeats her own success time and time again and it's boring. She's has 2 great instruments (voice and songwriting) but needs to work with different producers to become challenged again and make different material. However I bet despite all our rantings she's working again with Big Jim Wright, JD, and Mike Will Made to name a few. Ughhh.

Re: Wendy interview (62,010) (62,018) by ADAM from USA
I think with all the trash Wendy talks about Mariah it's purely business. If you've listened to the 2 radio interviews Wendy had with Mariah in NYC in 03 and 05, they clearly have a good rapport and love girl talk. Mariah gets Wendy's subliminal digs and throws shade right back at her. I just hope that whatever Mariah is promoting eventually makes it way to the Wendy show for a good interview. Fingers crossed.

Re: GLAAD award (61,622) (61,630) by ADAM from USA
I'm actually surprised she's getting this award. She's so vague in her direct support for gays and treads the line to not overtly say that her Christian values conflicts with her gay fanbase. But on the other side of it, I know all award shows including this GLAAD event are all stunts created by big PR machines who pay large sums of money for an image re-hauling. Just brace yourself for another "look inside yourself" speech filled with the same antidotes she always uses about the 2 gay men who babysat for her when she was young and how much she always felt like an outside or not pretty growing up. Personally, I feel that her career has been fueled and sustained by the love and devotion largely from her gay fanbase. With all the money we've spent watching her shows and buying her music we deserve more than a vague IG post for marriage equality or an image of a gay couple in the video for IWTKWLI. She could be another gay iconic diva like Bette Midler or Cher or Barbra Streisand if she wanted too but clearly she rather count her money and not rock the boat. Meanwhile, she employs a house full of gay men including her hair dresser and makeup artist to her stylist and former tour manager. Such a shame. [Webmaster: Antidotes? Don't you mean anecdotes?]

Re: Mariah (61,600) (61,602) by ADAM from USA
I could not agree more with you comments. I love her so much but feel sad that she lost her way to vanity and smoke and mirrors. I feel the Mariah we've been accustomed to since the Glitter breakdown is a shell of what she used to be. Her smiles seemed plastered on and her music is uninspired. I'll continue supporting her if she creates substantial music but will always yern for the musician she once was inside. The constant shady comments and skimpy outfits are all that seems to fuel her nowadays.

Re: Stella takes her antics up a notch (60,885) (60,886) by ADAM from USA
I also don't like Stella's increased involvement in Mariah's personal affairs from the outside looking in. I also find it disturbing that Mariah is constantly photographed with Stella pre-teen daughter and never with anyone of her peers or anyone that isn't on payroll. Its like Mariah has no real friends. If it's not Stella and her daughters it's her makeup artist and hair team. It's really sad. Mariah needs to separate the two because it's eluding her judgement and inability to listen to the streets to hear what people are really saying about her and what's going on in the world. Something doesn't seem right this era.

Re: Do you think of me (60,534) (60,542) by ADAM from USA
That's an excellent observation. Her current voice would go great with Do You Think Of Me or Slipping Away or The Wind. Anyone of those songs without any backup tracks live would be all any lamb would need to be fully satisfied. One can hope right? Lol.

Re: The London show (60,522) (60,541) by ADAM from USA
A duet or new song with another adult contemporary artist would be amazing. Just think how nice it would be if she recorded a song with Elton John or George Michael. I would just die. Maybe since she was at Elton's Oscar party they talked about new music together. That would be legendary.
