About Robert-Anthony from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Re: Mariah's sweet spot (99,964) (99,968) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Nicky, you and I are on the same page today. I hope that you don't mind. I purchased Black Radio III this weekend. I love the album too. The Jennifer Hudson collaboration Out Of My Hands made me think of MC especially the reprise improvisation at the end of the song. I can see Robert Glasper and MC collaborating on a song. I just hope she blows our mind with whatever she is working on concerning The Butterfly album. I would be so disappointed if we get several remakes like the Close My Eyes acoustic version. Surely, she wouldn't waste Brandy's vocal talent.

Re: Fair production (99,963) (99,967) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Nicky, you are so right. I love the song and thought too that this is something Mariah could sing and sound quite nice on. Harv wrote the song with his wife, Felisha King from former R&B group Cherish. The vocal production and melody sounds like something Cherish would have sung in the 90s. Remember Do it Do it.

Re: Memoirs is an attempt at Butterfly II (99,956) (99,957) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Isn't that what a party record does? Gets you out of a funky mood and ready to have fun.

Re: Memoirs is an attempt at Butterfly II (99,943) (99,953) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Memoirs to me will always be the first Mariah Carey album that did not feel like a Mariah Carey album. It felt like The-Dream and Tricky Stewart album. They brought the beat, some lyrics, and the demos. MC just added her lyrics and vocal styling. Nonetheless, it is a good party record and an album worth revisiting every once and awhile. There has never been a MC release to even come close to Butterfly.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving (99,932) (99,939) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Right. If MC is going to have Gold status sales success with the Butterfly 25th anniversary release, then she is going to need a balance of Pop and R&B artists on the album.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving (99,929) (99,930) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Do I smell a Shawn Mendes collaboration? Has to be the reason why Mimi has Shawn's phone number?

Re: New merch (99,926) (99,927) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Cool. I told everybody on this board she is listening. I can only assume that the release of the Fantasy merchandise is because Fantasy is still in the top 10 on the iTunes R&B chart. What can I ask MC for tonight on Twitter? Butterfly album hoodie for September? Lol.

Re: Question (99,915) (99,922) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Randy, I forgot about Chaka's I Feel For You. I wish MC would take more chances like this.

Re: Question (99,912) (99,921) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Right. So your response got me thinking again. Would a Lil Wayne feature be too much for MC standards for a comeback single? I love his bars on his features. It could be a playful song showcasing MC's savage side and Lil Wayne's playboy side.

Question (99,911) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Would there be no combining of Hip Hop and R&B without MC? I believe that MC doesn't get enough credit for starting this sub genre. She did it before Mary J. Blige, Sean Combs and Stevie J.

Re: These 3 remixes (99,902) (99,908) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I feel the same way, Bill. The ISB remixes are one of MC best resung remixes. I know no other singer whose chooses the best samples for her remixes. I understand why MC was so livid about the Firecracker sample.

These 3 remixes (99,899) by Robert-Anthony from United States
No one ever talks about how brilliant these 3 remixes are. They were strictly made for the dancefloor and some good speakers.

1. I Still Believe - The King's Mix
2. DFAU - Quentin Harris Vocal Mix
3. ABMB - Always Club

I didn't think about that Bill. You know your Mariah history. I am writing your response in my Mariah book.

JD (99,882) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just finished listening to ABMB. Do we even know the backstory of how MC started working with JD? MC has a pattern of working with a producer on her next album if the producer does a remix on a previous single. The Never Forget You remix gave us Always Be My Baby. Their collaboration has been like no other relationship besides Walter A. MC and JD have had long illustrious collaborative relationship. I am ready to see what these two come up with next.

Re: Butterfly 25th September 16 (99,862) (99,865) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Reimagining is a better word choice than reworking. I just couldn't think of it yesterday. Lol. It was hot in Atlanta yesterday.

Re: Migrate or Caution (99,863) (99,864) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Migrate could have been easily her 19th #1. Radio was craving those type of club songs back in 2008. I will never know why LA Reid and his team chose Bye Bye. Bye Bye was never a WBT type of song for radio.

Re: Butterfly 25th September 16 (99,838) (99,857) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I listened to Butterfly and watched some television performances from the era all weekend. I have come to conclusion that putting a new spin on Butterfly makes sense now, especially after watching her recent interview posted by YouTuber MariahxLambily. This is MC's opportunity to shine the light again on her most personal album of her career with some high profile duets and producer reworkings of Butterfly. I am guessing that the 25th Anniversary edition will have live instruments showcasing her work in the Butterfly Lounge creating the new edition. MC said that she wasn't allowed to confirm yes or no to what she is working on, but there is excitement in the air. I can only guess that the corporate morgue is going to pour some serious promotional money into the 25th Anniversary edition of Butterfly. I hope that the label produces a total package that is similar to what Arista did for Lisa Stansfield's Affection when it was repackaged with bonus tracks, remixes, video promos, and a live concert DVD. Wouldn't it be cool if Tiesto or David Guetta put a different spin on Fly Away (The Reprise)? We are in store for something special this September.

Re: Butterfly 25th September 16 (99,838) (99,841) by Robert-Anthony from United States
This is what I am thinking so far for the tracklisting:
1. Honey ft. Yung Bleu and Gunna
2. Butterfly ft. Ariana Grande
3. My All ft. The Clark Sisters - inspiration from Kanye's Sunday Church version that MC loved on Twitter
4. Babydoll ft. Brandy
5. Whenever You Call ft. Maxwell
6. Beautiful Ones ft. The Weekend
7. Close My Eyes - acoustic version
Plus four new tracks for Lambs.

Re: Butterfly 25th September 16 (99,831) (99,833) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I am with you. But it does go with what she said on Twitter Spaces - "It's more than just The Roof." I guess the move to Atlanta was to secure some Atlanta producers like London On Da Track, Mike Will Made It, D'Mile, Polow Da Don, and The Stereotypes to give Butterfly the Atlanta sound vs. the New York sound from 1997. I just want to finally have a Timbaland production on Babydoll. Only time will tell what happens on September 16, 2022.

Can't we all just get along on here. I know, nobody asked you Robert-Anthony. Hurry up, MC. We need some new music.

Okay. Gonna jot down your prediction in my Mariah book.

The next Twitter Spaces (99,801) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I was thinking today that MC when holds her next Twitter Spaces she just can't say that she is working on multiple projects. She is going to have give the Lambs some concrete information and possible release dates. I can't listen to Caution or 90s Mariah anymore. Lol. I am now revisiting the early days of Lisa Stansfield. She had some nice club and ballads back in the day. I hope that we hear new music by May. She has to be 65 percent finished recording by now.

Fantasy (99,792) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Fantasy is number 3 on iTunes R&B chart right now. Can MC make another Fantasy that samples another Tom Tom Club song or even Wham's Everything She Wants? I believe she could have another top 10 pop song if her next single is a sample and summer jam.
