About Robert-Anthony from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

Re: The Butterfly Lounge: the Atlanta sessions (99,127) (99,259) by Robert-Anthony from United States
It was reported on Twitter today that MC confirmed her recording session with Brandy. I am predicting that Butterfly will get released this coming Spring with 5 newly recorded collaborations of Vision of Love with The Clark Sisters, The Roof with Brandy, Babydoll - Timbaland remix, Whenever You Call ft. Maxwell and Outside ft. Tamar Braxton.

Re: Where Are You Christmas? (99,253) (99,254) by Robert-Anthony from United States
There had have been a working tape or demo that guided Faith Hill to sing like MC. I think MC is fooling us about there not being a demo. She co-writes this song with two iconic songwriters and musicians and she doesn't lay down some vocals to their piano playing. I think not.

Most iconic album (99,252) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Butterfly has to be MC's most iconic album, right? We lived for her transformation from a caged pop ballad diva to a R&B hip hop flavored diva. The television performances from the album were so heartfelt and iconic. And talk about the videos from this album, they will be her best videos ever. Daydream has to be right behind Butterfly.

Re: Where Are You Christmas? (98,970) (99,243) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I listened to this song all the way through for the first time. Faith Hill really sung it like Mariah's demo. She captured MC's vocal style from beginning to end. I hope we get the demo next Christmas. It doesn't get very much airplay during the holiday season. WAYC will be 22 years old next year.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey enjoys a shopping spree in Aspen (99,236) (99,242) by Robert-Anthony from United States
It's the plaid pattern design on the pants from 1971 dahling. I thought I was watching a scene from Issac Hayes' Shaft. She looked so better in black boarding the plane.

Where have you been Special K? I have missed you. Tanaka has slimmed down a little. You can see it in his face.

Re: Mariah's voice (99,230) (99,232) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Why are her vocals so nasal sounding in her head voice in BCPCH remake? I believe MC is suffering from constant sinus infections and allergies. Singing in these high keys is not helping matters either. You can hear the nasal sounding vocals in the ad libs in the FILAC gospel ending. There is something going on with her voice that we don't know. By the way Alicia Keys sounds horrible live now. So, MC is not the only artist having vocal issues.

Why You Mad (99,227) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Does anyone have Why You Mad on 45 RPM vinyl? It was for sale on Ebay two years ago from a seller in England. It was not an official release vinyl record. I lost the bid to someone else. I just know a Lamb on this board bought it.

Mariah Carey Charts on Twitter is predicting that AIWFCIY will take the number #1 spot this week. Let's hope.

Interesting thought (99,211) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC has never had a woman co-produce a song with her on one of her albums. She has always worked with men. I wonder why that is so. I would love to see her co-produce with Angela Winbush, Nova Wav, Linda Perry, and Victoria Monet.

Cancelled - Mixin With Mimi (99,210) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I just received a text, probably like many of you, that Mixin with Mimi has been cancelled. I didn't think that she was going to have other people in the lounge with her. I thought it was all virtual. Hopefully, it will happen in the spring.

Re: Mariah's voice (99,204) (99,207) by Robert-Anthony from United States
So true. Maybe next year is not the right time for MC to release MC16. She has worked hard for 30 years. I am here to support her for whatever she releases for the Butterfly Lounge, Butterfly's 25th anniversary, and MC30. Who knows we may even get a soundtrack for TMOMC series with a few new songs.

Re: Her voice back (99,188) (99,190) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I don't think it has shown any type of improvement with her new recordings from Somewhat Loved to BCPCH this year. They both have been so inconsistent from one to the other. I listened to Somewhat Loved and it seems so auto-tuned in some parts. MC gave no live Christmas performances this holiday season on network TV. I don't want to think that she is done recording full albums, but it is looking that way now. Maybe I am wrong. I still love me some MC and nothing will ever change that. I will just cherish her first four albums for showcasing her in prime vocal state. She was the vocal queen back in the early 90s.

Re: Change (99,157) (99,160) by Robert-Anthony from United States
Gladys Knight said early in the 90s that MC sings out of her range. I wish I could find the interview. She was referring to all of the belting.

Re: Change (99,145) (99,153) by Robert-Anthony from United States
How different would MC's voice be now if she took a 5 year break after Merry Christmas? Daydream and Butterfly albums and tours never happened. MC returned with Rainbow in 1999. I think that she would sound like Emotions. The Maxwell approach could have worked for MC. He has only released five albums in 25 years. Wow. His voice still sounds the same even after his vocal chord surgery.

Her voice is phenomenon on Emotions. Not one bad song or vocal moment.

Re: Uncertainty (99,139) (99,142) by Robert-Anthony from United States
MC must be tired of spending countless hours in the studio recording 50 plus tracks for a new album knowing the state of her voice. I don't understand her mindset right now. She needs a growth mindset and not a fixed mindset. I think Daniel Moore III is filling her head with this nonsense. She had more of a drive when Big Jim was her musical director.

You said better than me Bill. Maxwell celebrates his albums' anniversaries the right way with an essay by a journalist and a 12-page photo booklet.

Re: Uncertainty (99,130) (99,133) by Robert-Anthony from United States
I would be down only to hear one song. That would be The Clarks Sisters turning Vision Of Love into a full going to church gospel song. I hope that is the song she tapped them for. Leave The Roof as a classic Mimi.

Summer Walker is hot right now. She kept the momentum going from Over It. No sophomore slump here.
