Mariah makes $27 million (57,650)

The fact that Mariah made this much money without much promo and no music releases, shows how much she is wanted. Vegas has not paid her 15 million yet. It has just crossed close to 16 million is grossing sales. Just saying. It's not even Christmas yet and she is making bank. Way to go Mariah Carey.

Haha. Then you will say she sounds horrible and needs to take a break. Call her insecurities truth and then yell at everyone on this post for not agreeing with you. Giovanni and yourself need to honestly take it down a few notches. I love you guys and respect your opinions but seriously though, you both are starting to be too much. I always feel like we are in a realm of 24 questions. How about this: please say one great thing that you love about Mariah Carey and then I will be happy enough to agree to your criticism. Can you do that? Let us feel your compassion. My goodness gracious. Love you guys.

I made A and B honor roll every year in [...] school and high school. I received a "A-" in English and an "A+" in writing composition. I also received a standard "A" in reading. Scored an average of 96% on all my essays. With that being said, I am well educated and I fully understand what sarcasm means. There is absolutely no way to determine what is sarcasm on an online post unless it is implied as such. Sarcasm is not the same as truth. The only way sarcasm could be perceived is if the writer implies their feelings into context or displays an indirect emotion related to what is being discussed. Bill's context was not implying sarcasm because he made a direct statement. This statement was then followed by a indirect question that carried zero meaning to what was being discussed. It might be sarcasm to you but everyone perceives things differently. That doesn't take away the meaning as to what I was saying. I love Adele and Mariah Carey. We need to respect this Mariah Carey post. That does not mean only talking about Adele either. So save the "I don't know sarcasm for someone else". I have a life and I am too educated to waste my time dealing with [censored] or [censored] individuals. I don't know why I even waste my time on this board with some of you. Anyway, I am going back to UKMIX. I am moving on. I fully expect some of you to respond and join your clicks/favored writers here but I won't respond back because it's a waste of my time. I am ending this conversation on my terms. Everyone have a wonderful day.

Exclusively talking about Adele on another fan forum not about Adele? What? I am confused? How about a big fat no. I am sorry. We can definitely talk about both of them, seeing how this is a Mariah Carey post. Just because you live in the U.K. and Adele is dominating WW, this is still a Mariah Carey post. Sorry for my bluntness. Mariah is finally grabbing great attention from all sides and you bring up an Adele deflect at the wrong time. [...] This should not be a problem. It's courtesy to all fans and honestly common sense when trying to be respectful to others. All I am saying is, there is a time and place for comments like that. Completely unnecessary. Adele and a Mariah Carey mix of conversation, will do just fine. I welcome that. I love both Mariah Carey and Adele. Hello is an amazing song and I just downloaded it on my phone from Google Play. I also love Mariah Carey's commitment to expanding her brand lately. Going back now to read and study for my CDL test at my new job. Love you lamb.

When I look at trends, I look at analytics of sales and how that translates into publicity and/or respect. Adele is doing what Mariah did in the 90s by letting her voice do the talking. Adele is unique in the aspect that her competition in the music industry doesn't have a unique voice or sound when they sing. Mariah could do the same but has made it clear she hates singing ballads all the time. That separates Adele from the rest because she reaches a broader audience of all ages. Mariah has taken alot of flack these last few years professionally. I just have this feeling that Epic Records, Sony, and Mariah Carey are on the same page and are super quiet. They know something we don't. Mariah is still the only contemporary music artist that can dominate contemporary music when she feels the need to do so. Her issue is she never sings ballads anymore, but what happens if she does? Game over. Poor promo and marketing has always been the issue with Mariah. Record execs know that now. Mariah is the only legendary artist, to me, that still can compete with her voice. Record execs polled for her recently and agreed she is the one they would help for a comeback. Enough said.

Come on guys. This is supposed to be the happiest time of the year. This is Mariah Carey's favorite season. If all of us were able to be in a classroom as students and Mariah was our teacher, she would not like that we can't get along. This back and forth on who is a true lamb needs to stop. Every fan has their own opinions. We all need to respect that on both sides. I have learned that arguing is a waste of time. If I don't like something said, as hard as it is to refrain myself, I have learned that it's better to move on.

It was probably after Merry Christmas was released or right before. Based upon the set decoration that only changed with the current season at that time and the hair style Mariah had most of her performances that year, I would guess November or December of 1994. I was only 1 and a half but am the best investigator of these types of things. Haha.

I applaud this message. I come to MCA everyday and observe the interactions. I stopped commenting because I was tired of the back and forth. I made an exception today to applaud your constant defending of Mariah Carey. You are also open minded to Mariah Carey's foes. However I like the fact that you don't make her foes a priority for discussion all the time. I enjoy reading your posts always because I know it's going to reflect both sides and not be one sided. Your smart with class and I love that. Keep doing your thing because it takes alot of consistency and love for Mariah.

Game of War is adding $$$$$ to Mariah's bank. The app is #1 and has been for awhile now on current IOS Revenue Charts for days. It's currently generating over 100,000 views on YouTube per day. It didn't gain many views on its first couple of days. It's picking up steam. From continued sell-outs at Vegas residency, extended residency in February, new multimillion $$$ record deal with Epic Records, Christmas royalties, hefty paid appearances, Hallmark movie, Christmas residency at Beacon Theatre, 2016 European tour, successful perfume line sales, and music royalties year-round, Mariah is making bank. Now add Game of War. Mariah is still proving she puts the funk back into function.

Mariah Carey on ESPN (56,843)

Fellow lambs. As I was watching the WNBA Semifinals on ESPN, I was shocked and happy to see the new commercial for Game of War. The commercial is oviouslly a different cut and shorter than the origional. When Mariah runs the people run behind her in the same screen shot and when she says "guys", it comes across more like a warrior giving orders than a princess giving a humorous suggestion. For it being an official commercial, I loved it. I hope they add the dragon scene. Yay dahlings let the marketing begin in 3-2-1. Lift off.

Mariah doesn't need direction. Whatever goals she has, she does it on her own accord. The issue is media has been trying to make her a villain since the turn of a century. Fans have moved on but they are still around. They have not left. Remember this Mariah could have 5,000,000+ fans but only 250,000 buy her music when new material is released. A big part is the lack of promotion. We all saw how well #Beautiful did when it had sufficent airplay. The other part is how society currently views a powerful individual held to a pedestal. They don't like talking about the same person, all the time already. Add over 20 years of inconsistent and different Mariah Carey's to the mix, watch out. I admit Mariah can be divaish and corny but that makes her real. People like her because she doesn't idolize the trends of the music industry. She isn't this poster child for LA Reid like the group TLC. She does her own thing and moves on. I like her becoming a 360 artist with touring, directing, residencies, game of war, Christmas. Music and media. I don't care if she is worth over 500 million dollars, there is nothing fake or divaish about giving fans and media something else to talk about. Music has become her house and she is expanding her brand to a mansion. Repairs and upkeep expected and needed. Difficulty not expected but if it happens, you still own the mansion.

Mariah Carey loves her lambs and will not go away. That was my point. "Oh honey you can have me when you want me, if you simply ask me to be there. And you're the only one who makes me come running, 'cause what you got is far beyond compare." Mariah we lambs love your honey baby, so drown us, hit us on the head, and give us that sweet honey baby. Festive moments, dahlings. Just for the nolstalgia.

Mariah Carey is by far the youngest out of the big 3 and it irks me when fans say she needs to take more breaks. That's all she does now is take breaks all year. There is no consistency anymore. I am not including expanding her endorsement brand. All I am saying is Mariah has not been consistent with anything since 2008. I understand she got married, had kids, Vegas, American idol, Jenny Craig, 4 top 5 albums (E=MC2, MOAIA, MCIIY, and MIAMTEC), 3 platinum singles, decorated Christmas queen #1 on the charts every Christmas year since 2010, 4 perfume launches, angel champagne line, Walgreen drinks, clothing line, and touring more. The big asterisk to all these things is the consistency. The consistency cant come back by taking a 4 year break. That was my point. The older you get the less opportunities come your way in any profession. No comparisons. This moment in her life where there are zero distractions is what she needs to capitalize on by being more consistent. It is not about age with her, never has been. Its her career at this point. By career, I mean how the GP views her.

Mariah took too long of a break to begin with (2010-2014) and I don't think she will take 4 years again to release new material. That is why AI was a mistake. She needed to use that time and devote it completely to music. She didn't and we are where we are now. This is Mariah Carey's decision. It amazes me that we all were wanting an album last year. We received a critically acclaimed album but it didn't sell well. Keep in mind Mariah doesn't have a direct fan base. Her fans are all over. The fact that she can sell 250,000-500,000 copies WW of any album without promoting the project, shows that she is very relevent. Janet Jackson, Madonna, and Celine Dion are older artists and past their prime. They use their back catalouges and it's the only thing that really works for them now. Mariah doesn't need a tour nor publicity stunts to sell records. Mariah needs to reinvent and reorganize where her career is at this point, make changes where they fit, and actually market her music better. She is still, by age, in her prime and has more chances of making a hit than miss career.

Norman. I absolutely agree with what you are saying. I apologize to you and other lambs who felt I was being too sensitive. However, I am not someone who usually post here unless I find something of interest related to Mariah that has not been posted yet or someone says something that is contrary to what is true. Andrew spoke of the ghetto and how Mariah tries to be too hard. I responded with reality of what was really happening in these areas and how they relate to Mariah. Typically I don't respond after I make my statements here and to me, by doing so, keeps what I say permanent. Andrew attacks people regularly. He might not know but people here tell him all the time. Then Giovanni gets involved and it is what it is. I really was displeased by a UK lamb calling urban neighborhoods trash and he related it to me. So yes I said what I said and I am happy to be an American. That was my point and I will not have my character questioned but I don't mind people saying I did something wrong. My character is that I am from the ghetto and I no longer live in the ghetto. That's made me who I am today. I am sorry if I offended anyone. I speak from my heart and I represent life in a respectful way. I should not have came at Andrew so hastily and for that I apologize. As Mariah would say, "It is what it is. Dahlings."

Also lambs are different on North America depending on where you live. I have met polite Italians lambs by day but they become stupid drunks at night and extremely nice lambs. I have also met 50/50 lambs and I only want one song lambs. However here at this wonderful USA town where I live and work, it's candidly sweet and diverse. Mariah Carey and the USA lambs always pay the UK dust. Everything including the music market is larger and better here in the USA. I along with a legion of North American lambs are proud to have more opportunities to see Mariah Carey in all four seasons of the year than the United Kingdom. The irony is funny for them as they will still be waiting next year when Mariah goes to Europe instead. Anyway, Mariah just posted adorable pictures of DemBabies on social media today. Who is looking forward to Mariah Carey doing the Beacon shows this year in the USA? I know most of you wanted to go last year, including me but only a few went. If you love the USA and Mariah Carey, like my message and reply if you want. Out of love dahlings.

Yes it was necessary to post what I wanted to post and I enjoyed every bit of what I wanted to say. Unless you live in the hood or know what it is, don't use the word ghetto. If it had come out of someone who isn't known to be rude and arrogant, than I would not mind. However Andrew constantly pisses people off and thinks that whatever he says is truth but in reality no one usually backs what he says. He talks alot of bullshit nonsense. Like fairies on a wall makes a big fall type of BS. I even get more likes than him and he post 90% more than I do. I also keep it like it is as well. Giovanni or whatever your name is, don't start with me or I will remind you why I am respected on this post. Don't try me dude. Have a wonderful day and take several seats as well. Like seriously.

Andrew. I am from the ghetto but I don't act as such. You are from the UK and there might be ghettos there but try to live in between Gary, Indiana and the worst part of Chicago, IL. Then grow up in the worst part of Indianapolis on the Northeast Side. These towns would kill you for just walking in the town let alone use the term ghetto. If you come across arrogant, of which you do, they would probably humble (beat) you and then leave you there to die. I have witnessed and heard it done many and many times more. I stayed away and went to school. I now work at chipotle at top ranked Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. So Andrew, please take several seats. I have developed class. You need to learn little boy how to be respectful and research before you post stupid s***. I am not intimidated by you nor your picture, as you say, so please sit down and stop acting self righteous. By the way I liked your previous comment about Mariah not posting the kids with James Packer. Also Mariah is played heavily in these communities as well. People love her in the "ghetto" and she usually reaches the "ghetto" before she crosses over to mainstream. Men don't always jam to her music because of the female hooks but they will usually jam to her music if it is hip hop and has a nice beat. Females had their cars always jamming in the hood bars turned loud. That is the real issue with her songs. Her comeback was heavily hip hop driven. You can't go from hip hop success and try so hard for pop success and expect to remain musically relevent. Andrew, the "ghetto" won't even listen to her songs if they lack a good beat or sound. In 2005 everyone in the hood knew who she was before she crossed over to mainstream. Her label in 2005 marketed het music to "ghetto" urban communities first. In reality, the "ghetto" made Mariah relevent again. So please take several seats once again for even implying that Mariah tries too hard to be ghetto. She has our respect always as thugriah. She just needs to change the sound and add more hip hop beats. That's all.

So Beyonce can make 115 million a year doing everything including music and Mariah can't because it's crap. Thats a double standard that Mariah will never appreciate. Like seriouslly people Mariah for 16 years did nothing but give quality music and had to overcome the unimaginable. I am grateful Mariah is using her legacy to expand her brand and it's working for her. I still feel she loves music and she even stated it but if she doesn't brand herself in other areas, Beyonce and everyone else gets all the attention. Mariah doesn't have to compete. She chooses to and can do what she damn pleases. Remember this. Full artistry equals talent equals money earned equals respect equals revelency. This method is the new foundation of which the music industry runs. Kudos to Mariah Carey for realizing she needed to expand her brand to stay competitive. She's not supposed to tap out and say I don't care anymore. That's what I feel most of you want because that's all you are saying when you say what she is doing is crap.

Mariah reigns surpreme despite fans who pinpoint her every move and always want a different direction for her. Mariah does what she wants and she answers your boycott effortlessly by keeping you talking. I love the fact that Mariah does Mariah and doesn't listen to her fans either. She knows there are more who love her and less that are critical of her. Like I said before she will always be relevent because people will always care. Here are some facts in case you forgot: - over 250 million records - 18 #1s (all lead) - over 16 Gold or Platinum albums or better (2 Diamond albums, 9x Platinum album, 6x Platinum album, 3-5x Platinum albums, 4x Platinum album, 2-3x Platinum albums, at least 3 albums certified platinum, at least 2-3 other Gold albums) - 13 Platinum singles or better, several other Gold singles (USA) - 25 years into her career here are the current trends for her The 45-year-old diva, who has enjoyed success with her current "#1 To Infinity" show at The Colosseum, is confirmed to be mapping out a full fledged Euro run in early 2016. Kudos to Ms. Carey, who has in the last six months uprooted and replanted every important facet of her team (label, publicist, manager, and creative representation). - That Grape Juice.
