Rihanna / MIAM / next album (50,115) by Abraham from USA
I'm not worried about Rihanna. I know if Mariah brings her A game and comes out with a good song, she'll have herself a hit. I for one would like her to either tie or break The Beatles' record. Back in '08 when Mariah was in my newspaper's Parade, it was called "Mariah's surprise". Will Mariah Carey top Elvis? And what do you know, she did with "Touch my body". Even though that's a song I never listen to, it was a hit. So Mariah can most definitely tie or break The Beatles' record. "Beautiful" made it to number 15. She can do it again. I agree with Lamb_O_Chop. "MIAM" is a masterpiece and one of Mariah's strongest albums since "TEOM". Mariah knows it tanked and that she needs a hit. Don't act like she doesn't because I'm sure she does. She always comes back. She did with the "Butterfly" album, and again with "The emancipation of Mimi". Whenever she hits a low point in her life, or goes through something terrible, she finds a way and bounces back. Work on that voice, image, diva persona and music, and Mariah will have success again. Her next album will be a smash. It's just up to us fans to support her and buy it.

VOL in Jamaica / #1's album (50,018) by Abraham from USA
I don't see what all the hype about that performance is about? I'm not impressed. Definitely not anywhere near as good as '05's BET Blueprint. That has been Mariah's last strong performance of "VOL". I mean she really "sang" that song. Also, I don't understand why Mariah would release a new version of a #1's album? That's not going to do a thing for her. She needs a whole brand new album. And like George stated when he asked what is she doing, I hope she's working on her voice and with some producers. I applaud how she lets lesser females like Beyonce catch up and take her spotlight. With her illuminati self, Beyonce is no where near as good of a singer as Mariah. Or as talented. It took about 17 or more producers to make Beyonce's last album. That's hilarious. I want Mariah to come back with a vengeance and just literally slay everyone. Including Ariana's wanna be a**.

Thoughts (50,000) by Abraham from USA
I was thinking that it's time Mariah wrote a song with another female song writer like Sia. The woman can write and sing. I could definitely see Mariah and her producing something together. Also just hit me, why hasn't Mariah ever worked with Diane Warren? She's written a lot of amazing songs. It's crazy that after all this time they've never worked together.

Uh, where have you been? A lot of us have already given some ideas on what Mariah should do. She needs to find herself, work on her voice, get a new image and get a new sound. She needs to work with some other great song writers. I think if Mariah recorded songs with Bruno Mars, Sam Smith or any other hit artist. It would definitely help make her album even better. I am offended that Beyonce managed to snatch a Grammy for a trash song like "Drunk in love" when "Beautiful" got nada. As someone stated, now that Mariah is back with L.A Reid and Sony, he will be strict and guide her in the right direction. She needs someone who will be tough will her. I know she most definitely can have another successful comeback and hit album. It's really all up to her. She has to want it and believe in herself.

You know that's funny. Last night I watched Mariah's "We belong together" performance at the Movie Awards as well as the one on Oprah. And I love both of them. She looked beautiful confident and slayed. But I think she lipped the climax in both performances. However I like her performance at the Movie Awards better. I loved the hair and red dress. "We belong together" is a masterpiece and it's when watching these great performances back in '05 that I know Mariah still has it in her for another comeback and hit song. She just needs to really put her writing skills to use as well as working with other great song writers and producers. And she needs to promote like crazy. Go on every show there is and be everywhere. And I need to apologize for the mistake I made in my post. I could of sworn I typed "older" instead of old. Mariah is technically still young. But glad you agree about the covering up the boobs part lol.

Shelly (49,948) by Abraham from USA
Oh come on Shelly, all the ensembles Mariah wore in Jamaica were terrible. She should have worn something like that red ensemble she wore back in '05 on VH1 where she sang "It's like that". Some of my favorite ones she's worn have been that blue one she wore on "Oprah" where she sang "We belong together", the one she wore on BET Blueprint. And the pink one she wore on "Good morning America" in 2013. But now I think it's time Mariah strted covering up her cleavage. She's way too old for that. She still looks good and there are other ways she can be sexy but classy at the same time. Also, I hope for her next music video it's a good one. I love "Beautiful" but hate "You're mine". And to find out it was Nick who directed it? Why in the hell did Mariah let him do that, lol.

"When she is caught lipsync it's because she wants it to"? Lol, could you run that by us again. Regarding Jamaica, the whole concert was a disaster with "Fantasy" and "We belong together". Let's just forget about it and move on. Focus on Vegas and hope Mariah slays. And hope that she wears more better ensembles.

Really Andrew (49,853) by Abraham from USA
It's one thing to give an opinion, but it's another to bash and be down right nasty. To say "There's no coming back", or that it's an end for Mariah is crazy. Way to be positive. I'm not going to deny that Mariah has had some bad moments in her career and in her recent live performances. But how can you as a proclaimed "fan" be so negative and doubtful? Yes she needs a wake up call, but she doesn't need to be bashed. She needs some counseling and to cut back on the drinking. We already know her voice isn't what it used to be. But she can still sing.

Marissa (49,806) by Abraham from USA
Are you joking? Mariah needs to write for herself. Not anyone else. Her career is at stake. She doesn't have time to worry about other artists. She needs to only focus on herself.

I actually like "Don't forget about us" way more. I love the music and lyrics. I kind of think it was like the updated version of "I don't want to cry". "Shake it off" had potential to be number one. As did a lot of other songs from Mariah. "Prisoner", "To be around you", "Do you think of me", "I still believe", "Beautiful". But Mariah needs to do something different for a comeback. No more "We belong together" songs. Maybe a ballad or r&b type song. I believe Mariah already has that good single recorded. Whatever it is I hope it's *good*. We're either getting a number ones album, or a whole new album. Personally, I want a whole new album. I'm really excited that she's back with Sony. I just need her to get it together. Like someone posted, 45 is still young enough to have more success.

Ardis / Nina (49,709) by Abraham from USA
That's no excuse. If Mariah found it hard singing her songs then she shouldn't have agreed to do Jamaica. I agree with G.G. (for once) that I'm also tired of half a** performances, not singing all the lyrics to the songs. People are paying to see that. It amazes me how no one including her team says nothing. I would never be afraid to address one of my friends. Nina seriously, out of everything that's happened regarding Mariah you're thinking about why her and Nick divorced? LMAO nobody cares about that.

If it's over (49,660) by Abraham from USA
That's completely up to Mariah. Clearly the Mariah we saw in Jamaica is different from the one we saw on "Ellen". She's obviously going through something which is why I don't understand why she doesn't seek God or a therapist. Get some counseling. Not drink your talent and career away. I love Mariah but I know I'm not the only one who is fed up with the tipsy performances. *Enough already* What Shelly posted is spot on. None of us would be posting here if we didn't care. We are the best fans. We bought the album and continue to support her hoping for a comeback. And want the best for her. But if something needs to be addressed, we as fans should address it because nobody else is. I hope that Mariah would see our posts because she needs a wake up call. One thing is that I will always love and respect her. Obviously she still cares about her career and music or she wouldn't have signed with Sony. She most definitely can bounce back if she puts her mind to it. But she should take some time and on herself and her kids. Then on music. If I sound harsh or rude I'm sorry.

Hold up Amber (49,593) by Abraham from USA
And take it down a notch. I get where you're coming from regarding the drinking. But you stating that age has caught up with Mariah? I'm lost. Not true at all. Mariah looked liked she was in her early 30's in the "Beautiful" video. What are you talking about? She also looked younger than 45 on "Ellen". JLo does look pretty good, but not as good as Mariah.

Thoughts (49,558) by Abraham from USA
I wouldn't say I'm embarrassed like Orkun did. I just want Mariah looking her best. She's a beautiful women. Her being in the public eye she should be looking nice. With all that money there's no excuse. Edward I agree. She definitely should have worn something more comfortable. Does anybody remember that red ensemble Mariah wore back in '05 on VH1 where she sang "It's like that"? Jermaine was there and started off the song. That is what Mariah should have worn. Or that dress she wore in 2012 in Macau. Both those ensembles were nice. I just thought Mariah had better taste than what she wore in Jamaica. I'm not bashing or putting her down because like I stated, I love Mariah. I just don't want her making a fool out of herself by wearing ugly attire and having people making fun of her. I just want her to get it together. She's far too important and special to be wearing stuff like that.

I'm sorry (49,517) by Abraham from USA
I love Mariah to death but she really needs to start wearing more better and appropriate attire, because what she wore in Jamica was terrible. She looked phenomenal on "Ellen". I don't understand. Anyways, I'm glad she's going back with Sony. I see something big happening this year.

Yup, that's the one lol. The remix version. There was a video but for some reason it isn't available on YouTube. Anyways glad you agree that Mariah could have covered it. Another song that I wish was Mariah's was "Unbreak my heart" by Toni Braxton. Thanks for responding.

I happen to like the long lists of songs/dream covers fans post. I like to see what other artists and songs they like. Shelly keep posting as much as you want. I for one enjoy reading them. I've already posted my dream cover list. But now I've been listening to "Nobody's supposed to be here" by Deborah Cox. But the remix. It's from a dance cd called "Fired up" released back in 2003. I've always wished that Mariah had did some type of dance or techno type song. So when you have a chance, give it a listen please.

I agree, I'd want a whole new album with all the songs she's recorded by now. She should have more than enough to put an album together. But whatever, I'm just glad she's back in shape and looking great again.

G.G. / B (49,242) by Abraham from USA
Who cares? Nick is a non factor. B I don't know if you know this but the song "Somewhere over the rainbow" was written and belonged to one of the first divas of all time Judy Garland. I too love that performance from Mariah. She slayed both those songs. I also loved the big hair and ensemble. Sexy Mariah at her finest [Webmaster: "Somewhere over the rainbow was not written by Judy Gardland, the music was by Harold Arlen and the lyrics by E.Y. Harburg.]

I knew you would. This is the best she's looked since the "Beautiful" video. I think she looks like she's in her late 30's.
