About Malcolm from Asia:

49 cents (76,039) by Malcolm from Asia
I know this was the case with Loverboy but is it true that they had been doing it since 90's? Like with Honey?

Re: MTV Unplugged article (76,001) (76,031) by Malcolm from Asia
That's the right formula of all, as simple as that. Another live album will do her career good, even reviving it. The defense from this is maybe "she's already a legend to prove herself", but from what is happening, I can say that proving everyone that she's not what the people think she is is important right now because the people who defend her every actions are already few, also add the turn of the century where majority of people know Mariah as this narcissist diva who only care for the glitz and glamour and not really giving the public that vocal moments that once she always delivers. We all know that the 2 main misconception about her is that she is an arrogant diva and a singer who doesn't really sing, if she can erase and change that, she's all good. Well I just hope those are really just a misconception.

Article: Pay homage to Mariah Carey's MTV Unplugged (75,986) by Malcolm from Asia
"In the words of a glowing year-in-review piece that ran in Entertainment Weekly that December: 'Carey's appearance was a vocal tour de force, proving beyond a doubt that in addition to her breathtaking pipes, she has developed a commanding stage presence. This rare public appearance reminded us there was a big-league performer inside that party dress.'" Party dress is what left with her. But anyways, happy 25th Anniversary to her MTV Unplugged.

Re: The stars are out (except one?) (75,882) (75,887) by Malcolm from Asia
I do hope she joins them for the victims especially Martyn. Not to sound insensitive but it can also squash whatever she and Ariana have. Now, if it happens that someone will mention Ariana in her future interviews and I will hear another I don't know her or I don't listen to pop music, she's crazy and absurd like it's too much.

Article: Mariah is launching a beauty company with her manager (75,794) by Malcolm from Asia
Here we go again with another "partnership". I just wish all the best for Mariah, I hope we are not seeing a bigger problem with all of this in the future. Stella is so obsessed with the Kardashians that she's really going down that path. With all of this unusual decisions, you can really tell what kind of a manager Stella is. I can imagine her creating this ideas and persuading Mariah after she got the news that Mariah's MAC line was a success. Professional leecher. Good luck to Mariah.

Article: Mariah Carey slammed for her "bananas" behaviour (75,776) by Malcolm from Asia
If this is true, I don't know anymore. I think it's the lack of communication between both parties and knowing Mariah's team, it's really possible. But then again it will always comes down to Mariah, just being 4 hours late is foul. Enough with the "diva" bullshit because it will come a time that no one will want to have her or be affiliated with. Tsk.

Re: Martyn (75,671) (75,691) by Malcolm from Asia
My sincere sympathy to you Andrew. No words. Mariah definitely lost one devoted lamb, I hope she will be involve with this in some way. There are things that been said, different views and opinions, but at the end of the day we are lambily. I will definitely miss Martyn here, no kidding but he really brought a positive vibe in this board whenever he posted. May he rest in peace.

Re: Martyn, we'll miss you (75,648) (75,650) by Malcolm from Asia
This is so sad and heartbreaking. I remember last Christmas 2015 he posted a sing along AIWFCIY video which he directed, it put a smile on my face. I wish Mariah's management see this and pays tribute to him or something. We will miss you Martyn, from the bottom of my heart.

Re: Celine Dion Billboard Awards (75,533) (75,537) by Malcolm from Asia
I can say that it's 60% pre-recorded and yet no one headlines that in the media, I don't know if they just really hate Mariah or Celine is just magnificent on lip syncing. The world rejoice on that performance and I really felt sad for Mariah because it's unfair that she's not celebrated like this anymore but then again, it's also her fault because she let those fail live performances to happen. I wish she saw Celine's performance for her to take down notes because that's what you called great production. If I can describe Celine, it's not "amazing" anymore but rather a "strong work ethic".

Article: X Factor bosses in secret talks with Mariah Carey (75,212) by Malcolm from Asia
This can be great. This can be the time to prove that she is also a good judge and her stint in American Idol was just full of drama and conflicts. Given the fact that she is friends with Sharon and have a huge respect for Simon I guess, she can have a good time with the panel if this is true.

Re: Article: Mariah Carey visits cosmetic surgery centre (75,175) (75,179) by Malcolm from Asia
Agree, she really needs a trainer again. This cosmetic thing is not really healthy and it doesn't help that her weight goes up and down especially at her age. She just doesn't look good and it's obvious that she doesn't really exercise at all. She must take care of herself, she's not young anymore.

Re: LA is leaving Epic (75,153) (75,156) by Malcolm from Asia
We'll see if it will benefit Mariah. I think it's great that other person will take in charge of whatever Mariah is into because I feel that Mariah became too comfortable with the familiar faces that she works with so this can push her work ethic again and set a different tone for her. Who knows maybe this person can influence Mariah to fire that opportunistic woman, now it's a good news.

Re: Article: Mariah filming HBO documentary, "A butterfly in Vegas" (75,152) (75,154) by Malcolm from Asia
If she just have a different management, HBO is definitely the first choice for the documentary. A good team knows that E is for drama and all that crap and HBO exudes with class, it's a common sense.

Re: Stella (74,997) (75,006) by Malcolm from Asia
Her reasoning why she fired Mariah's staff was because she said they're wasting Mariah's money and she always talked about budget last SSFT, then why the [censored] she have the guts to buy these cars to Mariah and her daughter like it was nothing? How much she's getting from Mariah to afford all of this? I can't, she's desperate and doing all of this shit right in front of our eyes. She's totally garbage and opportunist, I'm gonna puke. Open your [censored] eyes Mariah.

Re: Mariah-Stella (74,876) (74,904) by Malcolm from Asia
Absolutely yes, the influence of Stella on her is very obvious. Honestly her face looks different now compared to the first half of 2015, I think it was at the BBMAs or Ellen when I last saw that radiant and beautiful face she always have and I don't think it's even about aging but rather a product of cheek implant/s, I just hope we will not see the day where she will have butt implants too. Sorry to say this but the woman whose Mariah doesn't know is aging gracefully, she knows how to take of herself and her career and for me she won already from whatever the "feud" she and Mariah have. Celine is also at the Met Gala this year, where Mariah at? Oh probably planning to go at a fancy restaurant for Stella to call TMZ. One word for all of this bullshit, tacky. Mimi L. is right, this next album must be executed rightly, this is like her last chance to redeem herself just to be messed up by Stella with her very professional ideas and decisions. I'm glad Anthony Burrell said those things recently because it goes to show that we are not delusional to think that Stella is unfit as the manager of Mariah, a woman who probably pick the Kardashians as her family's role model. I hope Mariah can use her own Instagram to see what Stella and her kids likes and imitates because it's all things Kardashian. It's like Mariah's beliefs contradicts what Stella wants to achieve. I will just look forward to that day where I can see the headline "Mariah Carey fires her manager".

Re: Mariah in Jamaïca (74,636) (74,641) by Malcolm from Asia
Only thing I love from that concert was her VOL performance, yeah she was drunk but for me she slayed that "weirdly", lol I don't know but I like it. She was carefree so did her voice that it's very different from her 2015 Vegas and 2016 VOL performances.

Re: Possible collaborators (74,425) (74,438) by Malcolm from Asia
It'll be good if Mariah will have at least one female collaborator for the next album, a current singer from this generation and not just a rapper because it will totally lessens her "diva" reputation and can unleash the true meaning of a "diva" like what she and Whitney did back in the day. It's time for her to be the Whitney and welcome other females to have a duet with her. Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Lady Gaga, Jessie J, Sia, Zendaya, Tinashe, Andra Day, or even Ariana will do.

Butterfly MC Records (74,336) by Malcolm from Asia
Though I'm happy that there is new music coming, this part of the announcement bugs me. Is this Butterfly MC Records a new one like that Magic Carpet Productions? If yes and if Stella is also involved with this, this is not good and Mariah should think twice about all if this decision, this is her hard earned wealth, you don't just share it with someone else just because they bows down to you.

Re: Most challenging song live (no lip) (74,288) (74,299) by Malcolm from Asia
It got to be Vision of Love. It may or may not be her most challenging song live but we have no choice because that's the only song that she's singing completely live through the years. I lost hope that she will ever sing other songs completely live unless she will lower the keys and notes and embrace the current state of her voice.

Re: Ridiculously bad videos (74,197) (74,202) by Malcolm from Asia
I agree except for #Beautiful mv because even though it's a video full of beauty shots, she looked good there and doesn't came off as desperately trying to be sexy. I wish she will hire A-list directors that can up her visuals game and please leave directing to the professionals already. Fantasy mv worked because it was the 90s but those kind of visual doesn't work on this century anymore and her creative ideas are already questionable for a long time now so she really needs to invest on these things if she wants to make it work. If she wants to do something, make it great and prioritize it, not like her recent efforts where it was all undeniably half-baked. If she can't do that anymore, just don't do it because it really affects her reputation and credibility as an artist.
