About Bobby A from United States: I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

The reintroduction of Mariah Carey (104,943) by Bobby A from United States
I like the way L.A. Reid and Usher are promoting his new album, Coming Home, which is going to be releases on the same day as his Super Bowl LVIII Half-time performance. He is bringing his career back home by working with producers and songwriters he had worked with in the past and some new producers. Maybe MC needs to do something similar that will reintroduce her back to the pop and R&B charts. I say a reintroduction because MC is going need an album promotional plan that is going make MC16 stay on the minds of music lovers. She needs a new team to help her accomplish reintroducing her back to radio and the media. She is going to have to release two iHeart Music radio singles before the album's release with one being a huge ballad. MC16 should not have any rap features since MC is older now. MC will need to some type of huge album release event a week prior to the album's release. Maybe a 5-night performance on The Jimmy Kimmel Show could be a first for MC. No pre-recorded tracks or gimmicks during the performances should heard. There should be just raw soul stirring performances each night similar to her MTV Unplugged performances. Finally, I would like to see the album released on same day as a primetime interview special with Robin Roberts. An interview with Robin Roberts would be what MC needs to ensure MC16 is heard by new music listeners. If she does a traditional album release, MC16 will be dead upon arrival.

Dating (104,935) by Bobby A from United States
Do you think MC will ever date again? I worry about her being alone and not having someone in her life. DeVon Franklin would be the perfect man for MC since she has scaled back being this huge diva. He is a huge motivational speaker and he loves God. During the Christmas shows and in Aspen this December, I saw MC as a more mature woman just raising her children. Her diva persona seems to have fallen off her huge petsonality. Love has to be on her mind, though. She can't stay single forever. I hope that she starts dating again during the recording of MC16. My two cents during the start of several days of below freezing temperatures.

Sorry, I didnt catch the Paul Abdul video reference until you mentioned it. I see Ariana trending now with praises from Paula. She has a great team behind her. Ariana knows how to generate buzz and views of her videos. She did some female movie pop references for her Thank You, Next video.

Duet with Michael Bolton (104,930) by Bobby A from United States
I love their chemistry on this song. I wonder why Columbia chose Patti over MC for the album version. Did Tommy think it was too soon for MC to have an official duet on another male's artist album? Their vocal chemistry may have been too much for him to hear before he could put that ring on her finger.

Beat (104,927) by Bobby A from United States
Have you seen the video for Yes, And? It reminds me of Pat Benetar's Love Is A Battlefield video. J Lo's Can't Get Enough and Dua Lipa's Houdini videos are similar with a huge dance production and a women empowerment theme. Maybe this is the trend for 2024. I don't think MC has ever a huge dance production video. No, Honey and Heartbreaker don't count.

I love it. We can only hope she will become inspired by this hot new song by Ariana. Women are going to rule the charts in 2024.

Album ideas (104,915) by Bobby A from United States
MC should make her first true R&B jazz adult contemporary album to reach masses again. I was thinking today she is going to have to release an album with a cohesive group of live musicians who can give her a new sound so she can improvise live. Improvisation is her strength that no one else can do quite like MC. Remember the mop the floor song during one of the Christmas shows. Also, I believe MC16 is going to be the album that is going to be the true follow-up to Butterfly. I felt cheated and disappointed with Rainbow and Charmbracelet being released after the brillant Butterfly album. I know that I am not the only one who felt cheated and disappointed in 1999 and 2002.

JLo Hummingbird = Butterfly (104,898) by Bobby A from United States
Just creepy. Did you know that she performed "Do You Know Where You Are Going To" on her 2003 Let's Get Loud concert DVD release? I wonder if Tommy gave her some Mariah notes in 2001 to refer to.

[Webmaster: It was a bonustrack on her album On the 6 from 1999.]

Do you think we may get another Missy Elliot collaboration on the new album? I would love to hear want these two brillant songwriters come up with in 2024.

Lol. I listened this week to the Whitney Houston/Wendy Williams radio interview from 2003. I want him to be nicer and more encouraging in 2024.

Love for Memoirs (104,883) by Bobby A from United States
Great post Mimi. I love Memoirs too. Memoirs might have performed better if it was released in October or November with H.A.T.E.U. released on the same day. IWTKWLI was the wrong second single for the U.S. The whole album rollout was rushed after the original release date was pushed back to Srptember 29th.

Nevertheless (I'm In Love With You) (104,877) by Bobby A from United States
Right. She is testing our reaction for an original jazz composition. I hope MC16 is her most surprising and critically acclaimed album ever. I know she is listening to the Lambs this time around. It has been 5 years too long since Caution dropped.

Ed Sherran [sic] collaboration (104,857) by Bobby A from United States
I listened to Shivers today. When you hear an Ed Sherran song you know it's Ed Sherran 100%. I am just wondering how a Mariah Carey and Ed Sherran song would sound on the radio. I think that they could create a dance pop song that radio would be played in heavy rotation. My only reservation about suggesting a collaboration is that Ed Sherran's musical style may be too pop for MC's musical direction in 2024. She really hasn't recorded a true pop song since #Beautiful. However, he could suggest a melody and a chord that would inspire something in the style of Fantasy or Dreamlover to MC's liking.

Jazzriah - Nevertheless (I'm in love with you) (104,854) by Bobby A from United States
I love it. She sounds so free when she sings a jazz song. Her vocals lately are really giving me goosebumps for the new album.

Eric, thank you for correcting my picture. You help me out in the technology department all the time. Also, thank you for putting up with my dysgraphia deficit. I say the word in my mind, but I don't type it into my sentence. Sometimes I catch my mistake while other times I don't.

I'm That Chick (104,831) by Bobby A from United States
MC sung at the Saadiyat Festival in UAE yesterday. There are videos on X of her singing LTT and ITC. I have always thought ITC was the beginning of MC writing cheesy and silly lyrics. I love the beat and the MJ sample, but I think the lyrics are on list of some her worst lyrics. I don't think she will write those type lyrics ever again because of the lukewarm reception to "Corny like Fritos" from Infinity. Don't you agree, Bill? Lol. And thanks for commenting on my picture.

AIW in psychological thrillers (104,830) by Bobby A from United States
Something told me to Google it after my last post. Some Lambs are shortening the AIWFCIY abbreviation to AIW. I found it on the UKMIX music site where Lambs posted about the Rockin and AIWFCIY top spot battle in December. So does that mean YDKWTD is now YDK. Lol.

E=MC2 (104,823) by Bobby A from United States
I was just thinking that after TMB went #1, L.A. Reid chose Bye Bye as the next single and it only made it to #21. After that it seemed that all promotion stopped and album sales did not meet TEOM expectations.

MC30 (104,811) by Bobby A from United States
Wasn't there some type of label turmoil during the recording and rollout of MIAM? MC wanted a Beyonce type of digital release while IDJ wanted a traditional release with pre-orders. IDJ executives were unhappy with the performance of Memoirs and MC's delayed completion of MIAM. They were just ready to be done with MC knowing that MIAM would fulfill her contractual obligations to the label. The executives now are probably concerned that MC30 doesn't have fan interest for any IDJ MC30 releases. I am surprised that It's A Wrap got a vinyl release last year. MC probably financed the release herself. She only had one hit album during her time with IDJ. Charmbraclet, E=MC2, and MIAM were all commercial disappointments. RCA will probably not allow Yours ft. Justin Timberlake to be released. Angels Advocate and Jumpsmokers Remix albums have been leaked online. MIAM leftover tracks are probably nonexistent. The question in 2024 is what label is going to sign MC to release MC16.

Top posters 2023 (104,806) by Bobby A from United States
I think Ariana's first album is so boring. Her sound was all over the place on Yours Truly. It wasn't until Problem and Break Free were major hits that I knew she finally found her own sound. Sweetner and Thank You, Next albums solidified her successs in pop music. She definitely reminds me of a young MC in the studio. I have seen a couple of videos of her in the studio laying down vocals and she definitely emulates MC's studio process.

It is going be a busy year for women in pop and R&B with new albums from Sheryl Crow, Dua Lipa, Coco Jones, MC, Ariana Grande, Keyshia Cole, Tyla, Renee Tapp, Mary J. Blige, Ledsi, and the one Andrew doesn't want me to mention - I don't know her.
