Re: Okay, please nobody get mad (88,746) (88,749) by Edward from USA
Mariah can also replicate "ella ella" live. You should've been more thorough in your post.

Re: Does anyone here even stream music? (88,687) (88,694) by Edward from USA
I always knew that comment would come down to bite her ass because nobody stays popular forever and I knew her turn would come. Besides, at that point it was a rumor what Madonna had said, there was no video or recording of her stating anything like that. It's good that Mariah came to her senses and praised her at the Grammys following TEOM. Madonna and Mariah are iconic and in the same boat now, Madonna can't score a hit and Mariah, well, she's annihilating the R&B charts in Tangamandapio. At least I still like Mariah's music. I stopped listening to Madonna after she released the album Music when I was 7.

Re: Still listening (88,676) (88,679) by Edward from USA
Why do you do that? You know B has a fetish with underarm hair, and here you are rubbing your bush on his face. That's so mean. No wonder he still thinks "With You" is slaying the R&B charts.

Another excuse (88,630) by Edward from USA
When it comes to remixes, Billboard rules are very clear, and they refer to remixes that morph into a completely different song, like "Thank God I Found You" Make it Last Remix. I love this remix by the way, better than the original. Mariah is capable of making a great remix keeping the song original melody and adding a featured rapper, but that would need creativity, and the will for a quality outcome, she did so on the remix for "#Beautiful" ft. Miguel and Jeezy. Mariah laid down some new vocals, the final whistles were short, but heavenly, and Jeezy’s rap was great. So, let's not blame Billboard for Mariah's inability to create a decent remix these days. A shitty remix is a shitty remix, period. "A No No" remix is what I actually didn't want it to be, a copy and paste uninspired effort. Why on earth didn't she have everything ready before releasing a 10-track album, especially knowing she would be extremely busy with Christmas, Vegas, and a world tour? While Mariah makes her money in concerts and touring, Epic has to recoup their investment from an album that wouldn't be bringing them any money, it's business. I'm pretty sure none of you would be investing their money into pushing a project that was basically dead in the water commercially from the beginning. Yes, it was critically acclaimed, good for Mariah, but if that doesn't translate into some sort of revenue for the label, it doesn't make sense to keep investing.

Re: The remix (88,624) (88,627) by Edward from USA
B, It's always someone else to blame, Isn't it? There's a thin line between being positive and being delusional, in your case at least. At what point do you even consider Mariah is responsible, at least partially? Oops, that context wouldn't ever exist in your world. I said from the beginning, this remix would work if it wasn't a cut and paste effort, and there it is, so you, like many other delulus, have to look for a escape goat, JD it is, or maybe Epic. No, those two are "A No No", it's Tommy or maybe JLO. It was Cardi or Maybe Lil Kim.

Re: Vegas final show this leg 2/21/19 M&G (long) (88,575) (88,606) by Edward from USA
I'm deeply sorry for your loss, Mara. I also lost my mom suddenly and unexpectedly, and like your mom, she was an amazing mom. I was in my early teens, so I guess you're lucky she got to meet your kids, husband and to see you being happy and in good hands. Thank you for sharing your story because, just like Martyn's sadly departure from this earth, we could be here one day and gone the other. Family and friendships are important and all we have at the end of the day. Since your mom loved Mariah and you do to, I guess she must be shining down on you from heaven.

Re: Original Music Box track listing (88,470) (88,473) by Edward from USA
To me the best ending tracks are: The Wind, Looking In and Outside. When I don't take my meds, I can't play any of those. "Everything Fades Away" is a gem, but I don't see it as part of Music Box, not only because it wasn't in the US tracklist, but because of the genre.

You're hilarious.

Just for that comment you can stream with us for the rest of the week. On Wednesday we stream "Migrate". I was wondering though, if you're from Indiana, why aren't you indian?

You cannot bully an entity who lives on somebody's head. I'll first stream ""With You" and then "A No No".

You referred about the full content of a post that wasn't directed at you and that you didn't read because l don't exist to you. If that isn't the epitome of insanity, I don't know what is. And stop trying to play the bipolar victim card. Just don't talk about posts you don't read, it kind of makes you cuckoo-for-cocoa-puffs. I'm starting to think you and Vicky are one and the same.

You and Andrew should get a room already. You totally have a crush on him, it's like you're on a constant drooling and sweating all over every time he comes around. Victoria, you don't seem have a "secret" anymore. Vicky and Andy would look very nice "emblazoned" on a doormat. I forgot my meds again.

Welcome back, Andrew. I know some of your adversaries here will self-combust when they realize you're back, but oh well, we all know we need to have our ice-cubes ready before binging on the messageboard. Too bad your timeline has been obliterated.

Re: Glitter (88,274) (88,284) by Edward from USA
I share your sentiment. I love "If We", actually when I think of Glitter, it's the first song that comes to mind. I wouldn't trade Glitter for any of her albums released after E=MC2. Those gems: "Never Too Far", "Lead The Way", "If We", "Want You", "Twister". Those vocals, the lyrics. I guess Glitter is the last album in which Mariah went all out vocally in the studio since "Music Box" without sounding or her voice being noticeable doctored. I'm happy she's just put Glitter of out of the Jinxed Box.

Re: Gospel album (88,187) (88,190) by Edward from USA
I agree, Mariah could definitely pull a great Jazz album with laid back vocals a la Norah Jones. I think a Gospel album would've been great when she was in better shape vocally.

Re: A No No remix fake news (88,181) (88,185) by Edward from USA
B, I won't say:

It must be the weed, it must be the E
Heard you get it poppin', you get it poppin'

Because "I Don't Know You".

I do really love all the positivity and fresh facts you bring to the board. By the way, I played "Caution" yesterday from beginning to end, and I loved it. "With You" ain't happening though, so don't over do it, please. A No No with Cardi B could definitely be something if it's well done.

Re: A No No remix fake news (88,176) (88,179) by Edward from USA
I was blasting Mariah Carey's first single today, "Delusions of Love", and then I played: "I Don't Wanna Chart", it was epic.

"With You" is a slow burner. It'll hit #1 very soon in 2039. You're so mean, so mean.

Re: Unplugged concert (88,106) (88,112) by Edward from USA
I didn't put the link there, Eric did to illustrate my point, it was published on the news section of the board. I'm not implying there's something wrong with your ears, but read the article, it explains exactly the disaster and how disappointed attendees were, so it's not a good point of reference to a good performance, at oil, oil intended. Not even in-boob humidifiers could've done anything for the performance to be decent.

Re: Unplugged concert (88,100) (88,110) by Edward from USA
Weed in Jamaica is too strong. You don't get drunk, high on Jamaican weed and expect to lip well. She was so out of synch that she was lipping to Always Be My Baby when Fantasy was playing. She slayed the Jamaicans, literally.

Did you actually know what happened last time she performed in Jamaica? She sounded just like the record.

Re: Cardi B's Please Me (88,051) (88,054) by Edward from USA
The key is not just throwing the hottest artist on the song, but rather putting love into the song and producing something special. Mariah remixes used to be epic because she poured her soul and inspiration into them. The last great remix I remember from her was the #Beautiful remix with Jeezy.

Re: Andrew (87,907) (87,919) by Edward from USA
Poor B, Andrew's ghost keeps haunting him. Comparing how Havana rose to #1 to whatever "With You" is doing on the R&B charts is ridiculous. Havana hit #2 two months after its release. "With You" hasn't even bubbled under the BB Hot 100 in nearly three months. Caution is good, but commercially the album is done. "A No No" remix, if not a copy-n-paste rushed effort, could be a hit, but it won't bring Caution back into any relevant position on the BB Hot 100. I'm enjoying Caution for what it is, but let's be sane and realistic here.

Re: Maroon 5's half-time show (87,877) (87,882) by Edward from USA
Mariah can't take two steps without help, even if Da Brat and Missy carried her on their strong shoulders, it wouldn't work. You have to move your behind and be energetic during the Superbowl, it's about the performance, the energy, the production. At the Superbowl there's no time for whining, you have to move your behind and perform, perform, perform. I believe she has the songs, the remixes for a great Superbowl show, but she's insecure. She doesn't have the voice to rely on in case of a flat performance, she doesn't have the energy, and she doesn't have the showmanship either. I hope she won't ever entertain the idea, even though I'm pretty sure at this stage they wouldn't risk it on her.
