About Giovanni from USA: Been a fan since 2005.

Celine (62,755) by Giovanni from USA
Didn't smash anything on Natural Woman. It was clear she was "trying" to out shine everyone on stage, but she didn't. She had the stronger voice, but Mariah's voice is miles better. And like I said, she was lucky Patti wasn't there that night. The reason she didn't attend was because Aretha didn't want her there. Aretha has never liked anyone who can top her vocals or sing over her. Patti destroyed her with her "Ain't no way" cover tribute in '93. Aretha herself knew she had been slayed. But still to this day I can't understand why Gloria, Shania and Carole were there. None of them are divas or can sing. Can you imagine if Patti, Whitney or Barbra had been there. It would have been a diva show down haha. Lord that would have been epic.

Stella (62,754) by Giovanni from USA
Is just using Mariah for her own personal pleasures. She wants Mariah's star power but she'll never have it. Why is she on "Mariah's world"? I've never seen a manger as much as Stella.

Lee Daniels (62,751) by Giovanni from USA
Is a total loser. What man calls another woman a b****. That was so disrespectful to Mariah. If I had been at the GLAAD awards I would have thrown my shoe at him.

Oh please, don't be mad.

Scares me too. It's good to know other fans see right through her. Hopefully Mariah will too.

New music (62,670) by Giovanni from USA
Mariah definitely doesn't look focused on new music. But I'm sure she has plenty of recorded tracks by now. As much as I want a new era to start, I'd rather Mariah take all the time she needs to perfect the next album. We need a hit one not just a decent one. My hopes for the new album is for it to be another memorable masterpiece. As well as it being worthy for Grammy nominations. I know they have always robbed her, but at least having her nominated would be good enough. I have always wondered if Mariah will ever win another Grammy.

Celine vs Aretha and Patti (62,669) by Giovanni from USA
Mariah did not out sing Celine in "You make me feel like a natural women". But she out shined her with all her performances. Celine looked like a fool trying to out do a legend like Aretha Franklin. She had the advantage because Aretha was past her prime. But best believe young Aretha would easily destroy Celine. And if Patti had been there she would have shut Celine down as well. Patti was 10x the singer Celine is. Which is why in my opinion her and Mariah are the two best female voices in music history. I feel I'm counting out Whitney but Whitney could never do vocal gymnastics or high notes like Miss Labelle. Celine is in my top five best female singers of all time. But she's number five in my book.

You obviously don't read the board often if you're questioning my loyalty as a fan. I'm one of most positive fans here. But I'm not afraid to give negative opinions about Mariah or any other people. Especially Stella.

I completely agree. I should have told you sooner but I'm telling you now. I love your posts.

Stella and her daughters (62,588) by Giovanni from USA
Make it obvious more and more in each picture that they're hungry fame. Stella is not mature, classy or professional at all. Mariah needs to fire her asap. She needs someone who is experienced with the music industry. Stella's agenda is to be famous, not manage Mariah or help her be successful. I don't care what she's done for her. She needs to stop being so thirsty and conduct herself the way a manager should. These people are like a poison to her. I'm so over them.

Re: Celine, Mariah and the Icon Award (62,578) (62,586) by Giovanni from USA
I get it, you love Celine more than Mariah. Celine is the most beautiful woman on earth. She's so much classier than Mariah. She's the best female singer of all time. She is in the same league as Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle and Chaka Khan. She can out sing them all. She sounds just as she did in 1997. She is also a better artist than Mariah and has been more influential. She has better artistry, musicianship and can write songs too. Her acceptance speech will forever be remembered as one of the most powerful, moving speeches in Billboard history. Even I almost teared up. She completely deserved the award because she's so much more iconic and legendary, right? Meanwhile back to Mariah.

Re: Celine at the BBMAs (62,564) (62,566) by Giovanni from USA
She did. I also want Mariah to give a killer performance with an amazing song. I didn't like Celine's new song.

I respect your opinion because I like you. But I just don't find Tori Kelly impressive at all. Joss Stone and Jessie J are way better to me.

Billboard Music Awards (62,561) by Giovanni from USA
Was boring and a hot mess. Having two people who are both irrelevant to the music industry host was so unnecessary. The only performances that I enjoyed were from Mehgan Trainor and Celine Dion. I was happy Adele won two awards and beat Taylor Swift. Was amazing at the awards. I don't like her new song but that vocal she gave at the end was impressive. However I don't think she deserved that award. Mariah is definitely more of an icon and a legend than her. "Vision of love" slays anything Celine or any other female singer has recorded. That song influenced just about every artist that came after Mariah. She clearly deserved that award.

You're cheesy, and so are your favs who can't top Mariah in voice, lyrics or on Billboard. Maybe Tori Kelly could learn from Mariah or Adele what it is to be a real singer and artist. As well as being successful. *plays "There's got to be a way"*

There's got to be a way (62,519) by Giovanni from USA
I was playing Mariah's debut album for the third time and continuously replaying "There's got to be a way". With everything I hear on the news on the internet I can really relate to the lyrics. It's my second favorite song on the album followed by "I don't want to cry" and "Vanishing". I remember seeing someone here on the board calling the song chessy. I was like "What?" I don't think so. I wish Mariah would write powerful lyrics again like "Vision of love", "There's got to be a way", "Hero" or "Fly like a bird".

Mariah's shade (62,518) by Giovanni from USA
Who really cares if Mariah continues to shade Jennifer and Nicki? They deserve it. Mariah will never make up and be friends so people should get over it. At the end of the day she isn't checking for either of them.

Red dress (62,517) by Giovanni from USA
I must say Mariah looked very beautiful and glamorous in that dress. It was sexy but still classy. She looked like the star she is.

Re: I find it funny (62,112) (62,133) by Giovanni from USA
Not you again. Whitney's voice was shot by '95. And was in no way stronger lol. She ruined her voice with smoking and by other things I care not to mention. And Beyonce is not a good example either. Her songs are not hard to sing at all. The only one I consider a challenge would be "Love on top". But that's about it. Let her or any other singer today try and sing "If it's over" and their vocal cords would be destroyed for life. I'm not making excuses I'm stating facts.

Re: I find it funny (62,110) (62,132) by Giovanni from USA
I completely agree. Christina is a perfect example. When she first came out with her debut album her voice was fresh and beautiful. But she damaged her voice by not having proper technique and by pushing it to the limit. She obviously was trying to give Mariah competition by mimicking her in many ways. For instance, trying to master the whistle register which she cleary never had. People definitely need to give it a rest.

I find it funny (62,092) by Giovanni from USA
How certain people are always coming for Mariah talking about how damaged her voice was by '99. But yet in that year she could still out shine and sing circles around every singer today. Mariah recorded album after album touring for a whole decade. She was constantly working dedicated to her music. So it's no wonder her voice declined. My voice would probably decline too. And let's not forget the fact that Mariah's songs are not hard to sing. She probably has the most vocally challenging songs out of any female singer. She sacrificed her voice and body for her fans so I will always be grateful for that.

Re: The powers that be (62,058) (62,064) by Giovanni from USA
Cool question, mine would easily be:
"Mariah Carey" - "Prisoner"
"Emotions" - "To be around you"
"Music Box" - "Now that I know"
"Daydream" - "Melt away"
"Butterfly" - "The beautiful ones"
"Rainbow" - "How much"
"Chrambracelet" - "The one"
"The Emancipation Of Mimi" -"Stay the night"
