About Will from Australia: Lunatic crazy about Ms Carey

Oh here we go (43,977) by Will from Australia
I find dem babies annoying on the song when they are giggling over MC singing, much like Wale does on the intro to YDKWTD, but it's ok to get up in arms about that because he's a rapper right? Don't be so lame to question me as a person because I find something annoying, I'm giving my honest opinion and some people here have double standards. And I rated the album out of 5 per track as I wanted to, again another lamb here decides that goes against their moral beliefs, for your info I am a professional music critic. Peace out.

Honest album review (43,942) by Will from Australia
Cry - 4/5 Reminds me of a Stevie a Wonder type song.
Faded - 2/5 Sounds like the leftovers of You're Mine.
Dedicated - 4/5 Definite a grower, more up tempo Candy Bling.
#Beautiful - 5/5 Could be the best track on the album.
Thirsty - 4/5 Different to what we have previously gotten.
Make It Look Good - 4/5 It's A Wrap part II but better, like it had sex with Ribbon.
You're Mine - 4/5 Fits in the albums sequence perfectly and would have done much better as a single off the back of an up tempo single.
You Don't Know What To Do - 4/5 Wale ruins it but still it's pretty smoking.
Supernatural - 2/5 Joyride part II but a poor imitation. Dem Babies are a tad annoying but the dialogue at the end with Mariah is too sweet.
Meteorite - 1/5 Worst song on the album. Dare I say it's like something Madonna would record. I think it'll become a gay anthem though which I'm not implying is a bad thing dahlings.
Camouflage - 3/5 Seems like it wants to be a Looking In, Petals update but doesn't quite get there.
One More Try - 3/5 I had high hopes, they were torn down. Sounds like an album filler and something thrown on an American Idols or X Factor album. Her voice is way too modified and sounds nasal as a result, like sped up too much.
Heavenly - 4/5 Is this a cover? I don't know it if it is but I liked it and the gospel. Her voice is very free in it.
44/65 overall which is 68%. Good album. Maybe I'll score it differently in a few weeks.

May 23rd or May 27th? (43,785) by Will from Australia
I'm confused, my iTunes pre order says expected May 23rd but some articles that Mariah has tweeted say May 27th. Does anyone know what it actually is?

Isabelle / missing songs (43,201) by Will from Australia
I know, where is Save The Day. Or Hope Street? I find it disappointing that these two songs that she talked up didn't make the album but songs from 2010 have, even if they sound different or whatever. The promo in Times Square was amazing btw, she's doing it right, new single please.

Thumbs down (42,621) by Will from Australia
I actually liked the thumbs down option as there was many a ranting know it all lamb on this board that seemed to gain some perspective from it and went either quiet with posts or changed their attitude a little. Hopefully they've learned a little from it and don't revert back. Great work with the site webmaster.

Being positive (42,216) by Will from Australia
I thought it was great to see Mariah celebrate St Patricks Day as she has Irish roots. I'm Irish and always wished she'd perform there but she hasn't done a tour yet but I did finally get to see her in Sydney last year and she was brilliant. Happy St Patricks Day everyone.

Two cents (42,042) by Will from Australia
Hi everyone. So it's been a few weeks since I've posted anything but I have been reading everyone's comments and just taking everything in. Webmaster, well done with dealing with Issac in the manner you did. I too had run ins with him and I'm glad you've shown that there is a line to cross with this messageboard. Moving on, You're Mine has grown on me but to be honest I never usually had to let a Mariah song grow on me in the same way that this has, seriously forced myself to like it but had no real desire to re-listen to it as much as I did with her other releases. I don't think that bodes well for non fanatics. Other thing I wanted to mention was that maybe Ellen and the tonight shows aren't interested in having Mariah on performing the song. When a star starts to decline and there are more popular artists around, they might just not care. If Diana Ross came back with a new single, would she be rushed onto stage? Probably not. Really hopefully we get a stellar album from Mariah, keep the faith.

New single (41,062) by Will from Australia
Has she sampled Alicia Keys piano riff from Like You'll Never See Me Again? I love what I've heard so far of the BET performance.

Mariah dancing (40,954) by Will from Australia
I have to say I loved the minimal dance routines in Honey and Heartbreaker, two of my favourite videos. I wasn't that found of the bouncing in Shake It Off though and the overly sexy moves when she performed Obsessed live was a bit too much for me lol. I'd love a nice little routine like Honey and Heartbreaker again though. I can't wait for new music.

E=MC2 (40,750) by Will from Australia
I agree with you John, that's one of my favourite albums too with Daydream. I'm also a massive fan of Memoirs but that has developed with time whereas I liked Charmbraclet originally but don't tend to listen to any tracks from it anymore, same with Rainbow and Glitter. I think Side Effects would've been a great single too, they really missed a step with that album but did she have her miscarriage during that time? Super excited for the new album.

Whitney cover, post or pre Mariah? (40,703) by Will from Australia
It would be interesting to see if it does happen whether it will be a post Mariah or pre Mariah cover. Mariah has mentioned that Roe will be on the album so maybe Your Love Is My Love like Whitney and her daughter? I don't really like You Give Good Love To Me, it always bored me. I would love to hear All At Once or Didn't We Almost Have It All if It's a pre Mariah cover and then either Miracle or I'm Your Baby Tonight post Mariah.

Lamb O Chop (40,530) by Will from Australia
I don't like Charmbracelet, obviously from my post! Some people do. I wanted to say contrary to those saying they loved it that I loathed it. I'm actually allowed to not like it as it's just my opinion. Why don't you stop arguing with fans on this page for once and trying to control what is said? Stating things as being the truth when it's based on opinion is a bit silly. You should just accept by now that a) Not everyone has the same opinions on Mariah. b) People are allowed to express their free opinions on this message board. My advice is to really contemplate "I'm making a statement, of my own opinion!" Now I've calmed down.

Charmbracelet is a horrific album (40,525) by Will from Australia
In my opinion. Because it's all about opinion! It was basically thrown out there as quick as possible to move on from the mental breakdown and Glitter era and it sounds as such. I remember watching Mariah perform Boy on UK TV and feeling so sad that she had now turned out music like that instead of the amazing tunes of previous years, but to be honest that song was as bad as Loverboy from another album where I feel she lost her way musically. Sure there are some songs that are stellar on both albums, but far too many trashy songs with bar production and worse vocals. So glad she came back with TEOM, E=MC2 and MOAIA, three albums that have restored my faith in her. Just an opinion so calm down "darlings".

Edward (40,331) by Will from Australia
Well said Edward! It really drains on me how the know it alls come on here and try control what the fans say about Mariah when they're just expressing opinions. They say a heap load of stuff that I laugh at because it's ridiculous but I move on from it as it is just your opinion. Happy new year everybody!

Nobody comes close to MC (40,160) by Will from Australia
So remember when Leona Lewis came on the scene and she was being heralded as the new new Mariah, before Grande. Well she just realised a Christmas album that I for one knew nothing about and it just happens to have three songs from Merry Christmas: O Holy Night, Christmas Baby Please Come Home and Silent Night. Silent Night is the only one that I can honestly say sounds good but the other two are so poor compared to Mimi's versions. Simon Cowell is still trying to mimic Mariah (remember he made Walter Afanesief an executive producer on Leona's debut album and wrote songs not too dismisliar to Music Box). I like Leona (her Ave Maria - is that even her wow) but it does make you admire more just how brilliant Mariah's versions are, aside from what everyone knows in AIWFCIY, the other efforts are untouchable from any female artist in my opinion.

It is what it is (40,129) by Will from Australia
Considering Mariah did minimal promotional performances of AIWFCIY from 1995 - 2009 it's obvious that she's grasping onto the only thing that keeps her topical, which is Christmas, by committing to way too many public performances that have left her voice shattered. The tree lighting performance is the worst performance I've ever heard from her, a million times worse than MJ's memorial and I'm sad for her. But hey, she'll move on from it and so must we. Talking about retirement is ridiculous, I just watched her in Sydney less than a year ago and she was amazing and surprised me. This site is for debating so I'd wish the know it alls would just let people give their opinion without getting their backs up, let it go.

Rocking Around The Christmas III (40,043) by Will from Australia
I really hope MC records another Christmas album in a few years. It got me thinking about what I'd like to hear aside from a few originals, anyone else have some songs they'd want?
1. Rockin Around The Christmas III
2. Pipes of Peace (amazing Paul McCartney song)
3. Where Are You Christmas (love to hear her version)
4. I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everday (Wizzard cover that I can imagine an awesome AIWFCIY arrangement)
5. I'll Be Home For Christmas
6. Jingle Bell Rock
7. Away In A Manger
8. It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas
9. It's Christmas All Over The World Tonight (little known Sheena Easton song from the 80s, YouTube it)
11. Carol Of The Bells (I get goosebumps thinking of Mariah doing this with multi layered vocals)
12. The Perfect Year (Diana Carroll did a lovely version a year before AIWFCIY was released)

Breakdown part II (39,804) by Will from Australia
Ok her TRL episode was completely nuts but Fallon is a close second, even he seemed uncomfortable and kept calling her crazy in an awkward way. On another note, revealing to the world that she's lying on her bathroom floor at 3.30am and ranting about what is really the smallest of differences in the songs versions doesn't seem peculiar at all.

Fallon (39,787) by Will from Australia
Her appearance on Fallon reminded me of her notorious TRL lollipop appearance with Carson Daly. She seemed nuts and random, I hope she's ok mentally right now. Also her interaction from what I've seen with JD as manager doesn't look positive, she keeps correcting him on what not to say about her etc. and then blasé about what his plans are or when he talks. Delighted she called Minage Satan though lol.

It's about Tommy (39,776) by Will from Australia
I'm pretty sure it's about Tommy. The use of the word dominion is the giveaway. Dominion is defined as control or the exercise of control. I no longer live in your dominion. Flinging your world around and they watch, flinging leads to an onus of responsibility as in Tommy causing the glitter breakdown and watching as she fell down.

Badr / signature / comparisons (39,739) by Will from Australia
Badr, I said not WBT part 20, duh it sounds nothing like it and I welcome the change. No chance in hell will this become a signature song, unless it's a signature of where artistically she lost her groove. Put simply, this is the worse lead single to an album launch she's had, even Loverboy and Obsessed offered more. But I do like the song, but it's more that I love Mariah rather than it even coming close to the standards she has set high.

Little disappointed (39,724) by Will from Australia
So I've bought it on iTunes as I'll always support her, but I'm a little let down by the single. Sure there's lots to be happy with - new sound, move away from WBT part 20, certain areas of her voice. What's annoying me is the lack of fluidity to the verses and this use of overly long words and in general words that people just use in their everyday dominion. Sure this is how Mimi likes to talk, being funny, but she needs to realise it doesn't translate well into lyrics, exceedingly not. I actually wish she'd do an album where other artists write it and she just uses her voice. Don't get me wrong, she's a goddess, but the lyrics are getting worse each album.

6. All I Want For Christmas Is You
