About Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA: A Lamb

Infinity and Mariah (52,794) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Here is my take on Infinity. Is it great? No it is not. Is it bad? To me no. The song isn't what it should have been to grant appeal but some of my fellow lambs are stuck on a comeback and unfortunately this song is bad specifically for this day in age of music. It's not the 90s anymore. Mariah to me needs to let people know her talents and I feel it's too late because Mariah took too long of a break 2010-2015 to begin promotional pushes. I blame her and her label for not trying hard enough to please the new generation of fans from 2010-2015. This new generation is the most prominent now and Mariah can't release songs like infinity to please them. The new digital age and the decline of album sales began to show during this time and the likes of Rihanna, Katy Perry, Adelle, Beyonce, and Taylor Swift revolutionalized the emphasis of selling songs instead of albums. Taylor, Beyonce, and Adelle always had album success because they are known to be more than just a regular pop stars and therefore always received the most hyped respect and press. This was the time Mariah Carey should have made a statement and released comparable music. During 2010-2015, others stood out as songwriters and show stoppers when Mariah took long breaks and acted difficult all the time. Mariah needs to act her age, ace her Vegas residency and trust Epic Records visions. She needs to stop sitting on her platform and begin damage control. I just hope it's not the end of a great legacy that is, Mariah Carey.

I am back (52,784) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
After reading the comments like "aren't you glad the regulars left" and "its about time newbies are finally commenting", I have changed my mind and will be officially back. You ignorant people just couldn't be quiet and decided that you are the most happy without regulars. Last time I checked this is not a competition. Its a damn messageboard and your stupid comments is the reason I'm back. If you are looking for balance and new people, oh too bad. The more you all talk about wanting regulars gone, the more they will come back. [...]

Message to all (52,748) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I love people and have had a difficult life than most people in their entire lifetime. I appreciate my knowledge and understand the meaning of respect and love by faith. This board is completely off my text radar for now. Like I said yesterday, the balance is completely off. Its always one sided on both sides and it's just a waste of energy posting on here. I just feel tired of staying the positive one and also understanding the truth, while everyone else acts like children. I am an adult who is a lot younger than most of you here. I am 23 years old. I might not have known or understood Mariah Carey until mid 2000 unlike most of you 90s folks, but I am a true lamb. I will accept change needed for her and I will agree to disagree. However, I will not subject my character nor positive attitude to the trolls on this messageboard anymore. Abraham you know I agree with you on everything and will not judge what you say or argue like you and Bill are currently doing. The same goes for you as well Bill. You make excellent points as well. You both should realize your views are different and move on as the lambs I know you both are. Everyone else I hope you all enjoyed my posts and I really enjoy most of you. Try not to argue with each other as much and maybe I might come back. Shelly stay positive sweety and I love all people regardless of what happens. It's a trait I feel you and I, Shelly, have as well. I will check back every 2 to 3 weeks but now I must leave.

There is a difference in having a conversation with others fans by voicing your opinions than being completely nasty and negative on this board. It all comes down to how you deliver a message here. Some may think your delivery is biased and they may confuse your constructive feedback with negative intentions. You are correct that you have the right to voice opinions. The only difference is everyone else has that right as well and might not agree with you either. I was up researching every article and all her facebook fan pages, when this song was released. Those who liked the song significantly outweighed those who didn't. I personally didn't expect this song to be what it is but I also don't think its bad either. I was expecting a more uptempo raw ballad with more hip to her verses and less cheesy lyrics. However I will not go as far and say "This song is garbage, she is stupid for releasing this, and needs to realize this is not going to be a hit." She already knows what's she's doing. If she wanted a hit, she would of released an album with new songs. People come on here and talk about what she needs to do all the time rather than go on her twitter to give suggestions. This board has zero balance and there is always someone trying to question motives of someone else rather than just sticking to opinions. I have always corrected others when it came to respecting so I would never accuse someone of being nasty unless they direct their frustrations to others on this post.

Infinity to iTunes (52,439) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Despite the love/hate of Infinity, Infinity is still top 10 in 26 countries and top 20 in 33 countries. This morning in USA at 1am the song was positioned at #155 and currently sits at #21. It's been sitting there since I went to the movies at noon. With radio adds, official music video, Vegas with live stream and media present, rave reviews, and nalstalgic hype, we should all expect it to rise by tommorrow. People are buying it in swarms and she hasn't even promoted it. Speaks to Mariah Carey's name and legacy.

Hello Edward. You are too kind and generously loving. You are a sweet soul. I would love to see that performance given I am only 23 years old and I am too young to know what happened. YouTube has become such a bore for finding rare masterpieces of Mariah Carey. My email address is austitra000@gmail.com. Thank you always and

Promotion for radio (52,185) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I receive weekly updates via email from allaccess. com. Today I received a promotional ad from them promoting Mariah Carey achievements, Vegas promotion, and Mariah will be making official impact on Pop and Hot AC formats on 05/04/2015. In the last 5-8 years, this is the first ad of any kind that seem like everyone is anticipating a single like this for Mariah Carey. The label Epic, radio, several DJs, and other marketing folks seem to think this song is fire. I feel with no competition Mariah will dominate with this song and Mariah has the right people now with the right connections for radio. With her it comes down to promotions, marketing, and image. Once people see she is serious and has everyonce backing her, the demand will be enormous. Why couldn't DefJam be like this. Doug Morris and LA Reid knows the formula that works with her. It's working and I love it. I felt since 2009 after they left for Sony, Mariah lost her pedestal because Island/Defjam was more concerned with younger artist, when they had a money maker in Mariah Carey the entire time. I am finally happy to see anticipation building for everyone else and not just us devoted fans.

Andrew (51,854) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I was technically being nice to you but now you have officially p***** me off. I do not care to know what revered means because I already do and my message to you still applies. You are stupid in your approach and ignorant in your delivery when you message on this board. If you are going to bully someone and tell them what to buy and how to act, then maybe, you should go back to Elementary School and play with your friends in the playground. You seem to get too involved in others personals and really you should work on your self esteem. You seem insecure and love to hurt others. You're childish (rude) antics would get you more than a comment if I saw you in person. Next time you want to indirectly disrespect or shade me, realize this, I dont care about you. I care about your disrespect to others on this board. So please take several seats on the very top row of a 64,000 seat stadium, where you belong because I am enjoying the clear view in the very first row. Good day.

Abraham / R.E.S.P.E.C.T. (51,789) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Abraham pow to you as well for the positive shoutout. Aretha Franklin is the true queen of the word that has been unfortunately lost in translation to today's society. We all "should learn to respect, respect, respect (R.E.S.P.E.C.T)".

Andrew / Shelly (51,768) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Andrew, it's not your place to make issue with Shelly and what she buys. It's her money. She is well respected on this board and is very respectful to you. Don't be an a** because clearly what you said to her as being "revered minded" can also be said about you and your choice for how you present yourself on this board. Everytime you speak, I skip because of the ignorance of your delivery. Shelly is respected. You oviouslly are not, given most people here can't stand your comments. Please learn that being optimistic enough to support an artist is not being "revered minded". It's common sense to buy something you like. There is no limit to supporting someone or their music. Shelly, to me, is radiant and confident in who she is. Respect is what she gives and that same respect is something you clearly lack. [...] Shelly don't respond to ignorance and impatient people. Like Mariah says, "do you and everything will be alright".

New publicist reported by E News (51,501) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
According to E News Mariah Carey is now being represented by The Chamber Group. This group is run by Chris Chambers. Here is an excerpt from a news article about one of the benefits of being represented by this firm: "Many of TCG's initial clients have benefited from joining Chris Chambers' signature hands-on approach to public relations and branding, most recently in his capacity as Senior Vice President of Publicity & Artist Development at Sony BMG Music Entertainment."

I told you so (51,365) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I was the first person to take issue with fans and the media criticizing Mariah all the time on this post. Some of you here never gave her a break and are always impatiently wanting her to do things differently. You expect too much. Now you're complaining because she is too quiet. The woman is sad and she is creating a wall to deflect people hurting her. I grew up insecure just like Mariah. I can relate to how she feels when life becomes unfortunate. What is happening to her, I believe, is that she feels she can no longer please. She wants to please all but people bash her and are constantly creating a fence for her to overcome. Those who are insecure naturally lack confidence. We put a happy face and only trust those who are close. When those who we love hurt us, we recluse and hold it in. We also become quiet until we are ready. Waiting is ideal for her as a human being but she is different from me, in the aspect that she is a public entertainer and never has the freedom to have emotion without backlash. I would appreciate it if people here stop complaining so much about her taking time off and just be happy she is still in the business after 25 years. Also we need to stop constantly bashing her. Don't you dare try to use the "it's not bashing we can say whatever because you are not realistic and you're too positive" speech. That saying only works if you are not usually a complainer. Some of you seem like you could careless 7/24/365. Save it.

Vegas? (51,193) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
The first 2 shows I believe are sold out. Everytime I click 1 ticket at any price, it says no seats found. I even tried the VIP and it said the exact same thing. Does that mean tickets are no longer available because the shows are sold out?

Its official. Epic Records alongside a slew of other organizations wished Mariah a happy anniversary on her twitter page. They called her "part of their family". Finally proof Mariah Carey is with Epic Records. This is definately exciting times.

Luis, Madonna is not Mariah (50,904) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Luis I don't agree with Mariah is not well known internationally. It's the same termanology as saying she is not an international artist. Madonna fans are always saying Madonna has sold more. Madonna had sold 80 million albums just from 6 compilation albums and several sountracks. No shade but if you took those away and judged based on studio efforts, Mariah wins everytime. I agree that Madonna is relevent now but she is relevent because she tries too be. Mariah is 10 years younger anyway. Madonnas relevency is still there but it is known to be decreasing as she gets older. Since 1990 Mariah has sold a modest 100,000,000 albums internationally and 68,000,000 in USA. She remains the fastest selling female artist since debut. She is not the best seller in the UK or Europe but she has maintained consistency to stay close in the pact of relevancy with modest figures of 15 million and 20 million, respectively. Madonna's music fits Europe and UKs club demographic anyway and will sell more regardless. It wouldn't fit lets say Japan. Mariah has sold 20 million albums in Japan alone and the figure is honestly modest. Madonna is not even close to Mariah in Japan and most Asian markets. Where Madonna reigns Mariah stays close and where Mariah reigns madonna is not close at all. The advantage Madonna has is 4 live albums, 6 compilations, 11 EPs, 3 soundtracks, 3 remix albums, and 21 box sets. The fact that Mariah is close speaks to her diversity and relevancy in all countries.

Abraham (50,466) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I completely agree with you. Some fans are always displeased with something and always wants her to do something for them. When she does what's best for her, they become impatient with her and mad at us for not agreeing with them. Then they try to turn the bull**** they're always talking into logical comparisons. It's always, "we don't care what Mariah thinks she needs and we are going to shove our feelings towards her down everyone's throats when she makes a mistake". It's a double standard and it's heartless to say to someone "you suck, you need to do this and if you don't do what we say, you will be treated like you still suck. " It's cold and not constructive at all. I love some people's critism here because it's constructive, makes sense, and it's level minded. The ones that try to argue their beliefs with conviction as fact are the ones who really bother me. They attack those who have a nice personality and say they are "enablers". That's the reason why I don't comment on this forum, much. I am too understanding of human emotions and I try to not associate myself with those that disregard how someone feels. Abraham, you're awesome though.

Mariah fans and JLo (50,434) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Lets all be honest. The term lamb is not as elusive as Mariah Carey. When I look at Mariah Carey's fanbase, she has many different types of fans in many different categories. The devoted fans will always be there for her and support her even through these difficult times. The casual bisocial fans are the ones who are open minded with a touch of emotional arrogance that is associated with becoming impatient with Mariah. These fans typically are always supportive until they lose their patience and only support her when interest is regained. Then there are the fans that only like 1-3 songs off an album but usually don't like her antics. These fans will only support if intrigued by her music or have emotional connection to support her like a family or friend. Then their are, well, everyone else. Mariah is in her own category and she will change when she is ready. I agree with some fans on this post that promotion is key but I feel it's not everything. Her Vegas showing, to me, will make or break her career. I prefer her attention to be on making Vegas a success and not promoting right now.

Lets be honest (50,023) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Mariah Carey's career is defined by her voice, collaborations, her fans, personal life, and the media. We never look at Mariah the human. Perfection is not always warranted. We cant expect her to give us 100% every night after 25 years. People here keep on acting entitled to know everything and always try to reach for something to talk about. [...] She doesn't have to prove anything to anyone. She doesn't really care to speak to the media nor the fans about her personal life. That's called being classy. Mariah has always been mum about her personal life, pictures excluded. All of a sudden some fans don't get what they want and they go to her personal issues to attack her, then try to mask their claims as constructive; Please. If you don't like what Mariah carey is doing, find someone else to like. Mariah will always be relevant because she is not defined by one group of people, unlike most of today's artist. We should all try to focus on something that's actually happening longterm, like Vegas. I can only name 4-5 shows Mariah supposedly lipsynch within the last 3 years versus the many times other artist do on a daily basis. They have no backlash but when Mariah does, it's like, [...]. Now after Vegas if these issues persist, I will own up and apologize for these pointless arguments today. Until then, I suggest we move on.

Ardis and others (49,937) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I have witnessed many drug users in my lifetime including my own brother. I have never tried drugs nor will I. I can assure you that not all drug users take drugs for reasons of their own choosing. Usually it starts from influence then decision. Most of the time it's how they live their life and make their living to get by emotionally, finacially, or healthwise. Note that I never said it doesn't happen the way you claimed. Your statement to Edward seemed as if Mariah never speaks to her own sister because of her drug problem, is pointless and lacks other topics that might cause her to do so as well. Saying Mariah could be a drug addict because she went to Studio 54 as a child (article response) and has a sister on drugs lacks merit. Janet Jackson's mom took her at 7-10 years old to Studio 54 to see Michael Jackson perform and Anderson Cooper also at a young age with his parents went there. Anderson actually met Michael Jackson in a limo around pre-teen not knowing that his crush, Janet Jackson, was the sister of Michael. Are they drug addicts in your mind because they were exposed to drugs? I have no problem with you other than your implying that Allison could be telling the truth when she is known to lie with bold confidence. If you don't know, there is no need to correct with such confidence. That is how rumours and senseless topics are spread and I don't believe Edward was stating anything but opinion.

William / Edward (49,896) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
William, I think that is the best idea I have heard in awhile. Mariah has been taking fan suggestions and answering questions on twitter all week. You and Edward should both suggest this on her twitter. I will. Better chance she will see it if we all did it. Edward did you mean 2 sets of 9 songs with a 4 hour break in between or 4 minutes in between songs? I am very curious on many simple topics and it will drive me crazy if I don't solve the curiosity. Just like trying to remember a song, I will spend hours researching and not think to do anything else. That's how I find things online that most miss.
