About Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA: A Lamb

MC fans of Asia to the the world of Facebook (49,812) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
They mobile uploaded an official Epic Records document that details Mariah Carey's new #1s album, release date, and tracklisting. It includes copyright and official Epic Records/Maroon Entertainment logos. This reminds me of when Beyonces deluxe album details leaked late last summer. Her document showed the remixed tracklisting, new songs, and the official release date. Beyonce later confirmed it as well as her label. If this document is legit for Mariah, I am happy to see her finally go back to Sony and get to hear Hope Street for the first rime.

Change of decades (49,782) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
One thing I have noticed with today's music is the change that has taken place. Since 2004, new artist putting value into their music has decreased and the focus is now about the image. Major music labels have also shifted all of their focus on the image rather than the music the artists make now. What was once considered a close to easy transition for older artist, now requires extra effort and 20 years old energy of hard work. It seems difficult to say to an accomplished artist, change what has been working you for 20 years, change your image to compete with lessers(overall) that are dominating (now). Musicians that are artistic, talented, and accomplished, to me, have a sense of pride and decide to not change. This is what Mariah is going through at a time where music is dying and at a time where most legends have little difficulty keeping their egos in check. Example Madonna in her 40s had huge success and she also reinvented her image several times during those eras. The difference then was less chances of people losing interest and changing their views. So I agree, specifically to maintain success, that Mariah needs to loosen her feelings and try something new. You get this sense she feels accomplished and doesn't want to try as hard to the extent she used to.

Carol and Jewel (49,672) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Carol, that's exactly how I feel. I feel like we collectively are becoming a crass. I don't want to be accused of enabling if I truly care for her emotions. Fans are becoming heartless and they never will admit their extreme level of critism as being rude. The same type of people do this everyday. They never have anything good to say and are the same ones that jump on here to criticize. They say "I should stop but I will continue talk", to try to justify what they need to say. I am optimistic she will rebound. Anyway I am looking forward to Vegas. Jewel in 2013, Mariah had a horrific fall that resulted in a displaced shoulder, cracked ribs, and several nasty bruises. This resulted in a delay of her album to 2014. The public also lost interest over time due to lack of promo because she took a while to rehab and contanstly wears the brace. She is currently misunderstood.

At the end of the day (49,644) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Look. Mariah doesn't care what people think at this point. She should know that her issues have now hit mainstream. I have understood her to be a recluse with personal issues. Taking 10 years to talk about a divorce is personal preference. It is a direct insult to anyone to say they are having mental breakdowns and career upsets to their face, fan or not fan. I am not saying to not criticize at all but doing it 265/7 or 365/7 is by far too much. It needs to decrease. Like you all are mad now however, how will you feel if she cancels everything planned and retires. We wait enough already for new music between albums. Imagine waiting 10-15 years for new music because her last support system (fans) always feel the need to jump on her and recluse her more. The only thing that she probably cares about is her immediate impact on just her name only. That worked in 2005 but not now. So despite those saying or implying earlier, I am not delusional nor am I an enabler. I do not believe she has done well lately but you will never see me bash or criticize because she has too many people doing that on a daily basis including her fans. I do like to think that she knows her problems and doesn't need this backlash to this extent.

Here we go again with bashing (49,608) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I actually enjoyed Mariah Carey's performance. It was not perfect but she was there and she gave effort. Yes she did lip one song. One song people. Yes this is becoming normal for her to lip. Do I believe her lipping and being a diva has caused her to hit glitter 2.0? No I do not. I trust Mariah despite the dramatic, unappeased, fake (perfect), ungrateful, dreaded (stuck in 90s folk), disinterested, and bipolar fans that post here. You all, except for those devoted understanding fans (Shelly, Abraham, Baby), are extremely annoying to think her perfection is your right and that you are entitled to know what she needs. Maybe so if she wasn't accomplished. Last time I checked she could just say: I have been giving people what they want, taken blame for over 25 years and I think it's time to retire. [...] with unrealistic expectations would love to see that happen. I will not impose my opinions on her or bash her on a social website that haters can see. I appreciate her putting music out that I enjoy and I love her extensive back fatalities.

Nikki (49,431) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I agree with everything except the contract. Mariah Carey, as we all know, signed a $21 million for 3 album deal back in 2002 with an option for $7-$10 million for a 4th album. What is little known is a official press release posted on The New York Times back in 2008 stating that Mariah Carey extended her contract for 3 more albums. I was surprised that I could only find it on a couple of websites. If you look it it up today, it is still there to be seen.

Mariah Carey is happy after Nick? (49,402) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Is it just me or does it seem that Mariah makes more of an impact when she is single and is focused? She seems more radiant, happy, eager to work, and less stressed when she is not caught up in a relationship with a jerk. Nick is definately a jerk. Astonishingly I am surprised of how he is trying to hurt the mother of his two children by degrading her new career moves to be his idea. If I were him, I would appreciate that my wife made me a successful career and move on. He will get joint custody. So why is he acting this way? We don't know but he needs to stop before Mariah goes back to Sony. Sony (NBC) does a lot of business with Nick. Her classiness will always outrank his childish atttitude and 10 gigs. If you are well respected enough your name is all you need to be successful. It says a lot that Mariah does less for more and nick does 10x more for less. Just saying he needs to watch it. Can I get a little R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

[...] (48,673) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Hey my fellow lambs. The 3 week break from this post went swell. I am happy to see more positive, enthusiastic, and less negatively righteous fans overflowing this post. Even through skeptism, negative public opinion, heartache, divorce, being a mother, it is great to finally see Mariah Carey more focused on music. Music is her peace and her fans are her everything. So to see fans support Mariah with less cronstructive critism or borderline negative, is a great thing to see. I believe she is tired of hearing what everybody thinks, including fans. We have the tendancy to expect perfection. We seem to not appreciate the fact that Mariah Carey is human and she loves to show it. I rather see her show how humanly authentic she is than to act fake or perfect like most other pop stars. People will respond better in the long run because imperfections everyone relates to somehow. Thumbs up to those fans on this post that gave constructive critism while keeping Mariah Carey's positive name intact and not giving in to being all constructive, all the time.

B, I agree (48,255) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I am done as well. I don't usually comment on this website much but I find myself getting upset with the negativity on this post. Everyday it is the same people. They come across as stuck up and negativity fills their lives. I have already sent a complaint to the webmaster but I am officially removing myself from this post. I don't have the time nor the energy to deal with these people.

GG, this will be the first and last time I will speak to you. I promote respect and that's it. Arguing is not respectful. If you actually did your homework, I really don't comment that much on this forum. 1 to 2, maybe 3 times a week. That's it. Ok. I definitely don't control or try to control this board. I don't have the time for that. Thank you very much. Bye.

Brad (48,063) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Yeah. I agree to a degree. I also know that trying to argue on every post when you're not cc'd starts a lot of confrontation. People will feel attacked. Honestly, people don't have to care about what someone says to post a comment. That's just common sense. That is a false belief that people tend to also act upon because they're blinded only by what they believe and will hold people to that. I don't ever comment on someone unless I feel they are being disrespectful to someone that isn't or just being repetitive or argumentative. That's is the problem I have with your comment from earlier. It lacked substance and it felt calculated. It was a rude direct insult to someone who wasn't implying or talking the way you responded.

(48,057) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
I understand that you feel that way and I will respect that. However everyone has an opinion and I don't think judging or starting a conflict by disagreeing is the way to go. That's not the purpose of this forum. Abraham and those who have been here on this forum for years, understand that. Everything they say seems to come from a respectful and non argumentative way.

Brad Catoe and everyone (48,056) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Is their any chance that you could be less sensitive. No one really cares about what you feel, what you think, or your opinions. No one is trying to argue. It's a fan forum. We just want to say what we think. I read all the comments and none of them were directed towards you. So please be more respectful when you comment. Also my advice to everyone, please don't dish out what you can't take. It will eliminate conflict, since, some people here are so sensitive to everything we post. Just saying.

Abraham (48,053) by Travon..SweetSweetFantasy from USA
Hello? Have you read my posts? I have tried to do just that but I feel like my head is being hammered by these people who have generalized conclusions based upon what they think. Nothing wrong with that. However what really urks me, is when fans or not, impose their ideas on other people or try to argue because we don't agree. Usually I have seen people not address certain people but direct their post openly. After, the same people who origionally posted get upset because they think someone is talking about them. It only bothers me because I see these comments everyday I research Mariah Carey news on the frontpage. It's very tacky and we need to move on to better things.

In music, if you write the melody of the song and not the lyrics of the song, you are considered a collaborator. You're collaborating with the person who writes the lyrical content. In the music industry, collaborators are given co-writing credit because they create the melody. The melody and lyrics are the song. Most collaborators are also producers meaning after the song is written by both the lyrical writer and melody writer, they begin to create the music for that song. For Mariah, she co-collaborates and she composes. Co-collaborating is mostly the reason why she is considered a cowriter. However, it is also known that she has cowritten lyrical content as well. Mariah is also the sole executive producer of her own record. She speaks directly to the corporate excutives. That power helps sustain her status of writing her way. She is always going to be credited writing because she writes a lot more than letting someone else assist. If people think she doesn't write her music, then they don't understand the concept of how to make music.
