About Bobby A from United States:
I have been a Lamb since 1990. I know Mariah. I love her music. I breathe her music.

That's the way I feel too, Edward. I want new music. I hope that is why she moved to Atlanta to work with other producers and songwriters besides JD and Bryan-Michael Cox. This could be her summer since Rihanna is probably going to drop R9 in the fall. Beyonce will probably wait until the fall too. I am sure MC can compete with Normani, Ella Mai, and K. Michelle this summer. Lol. Just put the anniversary and other projects in her store for the fall.
Just based on how she recorded MIAM and had it completed by May in 2013. And that's just the way we do it down here in the A. Lol. She could have stayed in L.A. or New York if she wasn't going to work hard to get MC16 completed.

MC hard at work (99,561)
by Bobby A from United States

|
|
MC arrived in Atlanta yesterday. She posted a video on Twitter. She will be working hard for the next five months. We ain't got long now before new music comes out. And MC sounded so good on the video.

Janet documentary (99,559)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
The Janet Jackson documentary is really good and revealing. Janet's story is told from a place of vulnerability and rebirth. I hope that MC can get to a place in her life and just let her story be told - the good and bad. Just to hear MC tell her story her way would be such an introspective rebirth.

Best Vinyl/CD Presentation award (99,550)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|

I am doing my best to take care of The Rarities album packaging because it is worth some serious money now and I want to keep it looking good. I love the photos included. It deserves MC's Best Album Presentation award. The Best CD Presentation award goes to The Emancipation of Mimi. What are your thoughts about your choices?

I found the Penny Ford CD at used record shop some years ago. I saw that MC co-wrote Lose Control with Narada and just assumed that they wrote the song for Penny. It is nice now to know the history.

Touch My Body remixes (99,539)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
The remixes to this song were probably MC's most urban remixes released at that time. Even the official club remixes were more urban sounding than pop. There were so many unofficial remixes from rappers that it was unreal. Infamous R. Kelly remix was the best.

It was a low quality version leaked by Mahagony. I want the version Mariah intended for us to hear.

I understand the need to be silence, but at least she should post some pictures of being in the studio. I just wonder if she is feeling the pressure from label executives to top Caution. She has to have at least a top 10 hit as the first single.

It will probably happen in the fall. I need to hear When I Feel It, Reaching For The Sky, Skydiving, Where Are You Christmas?, the Bobby Ross Avila song, the remaining Poo Bear songs, Bring It On Home, We're Not Making Love Anymore, and Candy Bling remix.

Jazz album (99,518)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I found David Sanborn's Live jazz album Straight From The Heart this weekend. It really has a nice R&B feel to it produced by Marcus Miller (Luther Vandross). It would have been nice in the 1990s if MC collaborated with David Sanborn and Marcus Miller.

Yay or nay? Don't Forget About Us should be re-recorded for a slow jam quiet storm mix. We need something for Valentine's Day. I just tweeted MC.

Larrance Dopson (99,508)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Larrance Dopson is one of the writers on 8th Grade. He co-wrote the mega hit Boo'd Up with Joella James that launched Ella Mai's career. He primarily works with DJ Mustard. I wonder what was his contribution to 8th Grade. Hopefully, MC has reached out to Joella James. She is very good with coming up melodies.

Why the secrecy (99,506)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
Why do you think MC is being so secret this time about what she is releasing this year? I think that there is a new potential recording deal that she is strategizing and she does not want to lose her contract leveraging power before the deal is sealed. I know on Twitter Spaces she has said several times that, "They get upset with me when I say too much." Could she be referring to Melissa and the executives at Range Media? Whatever she is releasing, will be her most anticipated release of her career. I envision a MC16 double album with The Butterfly Lounge or the Rarities 2 as disc 2. I am hoping for new vinyl in her store including Somebody's Ugly Daughter and Glitter. Yeah, what is up with buying a house in Sandy Springs, GA? Which is not Buckhead but close to it. Just my thoughts.

Re: Article: Is Mariah Carey moving to Buckhead? (99,497) (99,500)
by Bobby A from United States

MC chose Sandy Springs with all the rolling hills and quick access Buckhead. She must be planning to work with London Da Track, Missy Elliot, Sean Garrett, Ne-Yo, Zaytoven, and Drumma Boy. It makes sense to move to where they are since flying them in is not the optimal choice right now.

I added it back to my workout playlist. I was kind of digging him and hearing Circles always reminded me of what could have been. I wonder if MC feels the same about Boy (I Need You) and what could have been with Camron. Oops, did I say that?

You Had Your Chance (99,484)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|

Another forgotten gem that added nothing to Charmbracelet. However, what it did showcase was that JD and MC could write a club song. The duo perfected the club song in 2007 with It's Like That. And it was a stone cold winner. I have enjoyed looking back at my Mariah papers this week. Tomorrow I am going to talk about another forgotten gem from Daydream. Who can guess what it is? No one ever talks about this gospel influenced ballad. She wrote this song with all of her heart and soul. Walter A's piano on playing is crazy.

Memoirs (99,482)
by Bobby A from United States
| |
|
|
I must say that I love this album. I listen to it all the time. I know that The Dream and Tricky Stewart were bashed for its poor sales, but it was really a well crafted brilliantly produced album. I would love for MC to try it again with another one production team like Mike Will Made It and P-Nasty with Timbaland and Nova Wav sprinkled in. If she only listened to me all the time. Lol.
