She looks so young and fresh. It just instant takes off so many years. She is definitely much more leaner now and from the pics she is certainly feeling very confident, you can just see it in her face. The last time she was on, you could tell she wasn't happy with herself (although I thought she looked great) so she didn't move much except for the epic dance at the end haha. But I'm hoping this time she is more animated, less vocal fry "Dahlin' it's too early for me to sing" and more belting and showing off her voice. (Saturday 22 October 2016; 18:26)

Adele's was fun through and through and she went viral with her little rap imoment where she covered Nicki Minaj and people went crazy. Selena Gomez tried to "sing" her heart out, she sounded horrible but girl tried. Jennifer Lopez was jamming out to her records like it's nobody's business. Same goes for most of the singers, except for maybe Britney who didn't sing much. They all sing and perform, at times they are overtaken by James but that's all fun. Whereas in Mariah's segment she announced she won't sing right when she got in and she was basically just going on about how it's too early for her. This is an overused excuse and if she gets on a "Karaoke" show and refuses to sing, then she shouldn't even bother showing up. So the difference here is while the other stars really jam out in their segments regardless of Corden sometimes hogging the attention (all fun, dude is hilarious), in Mariah's episode Corden was basically doing all he could to keep the show going because Mariah was refusing to sing so poor dude had to sing back up/front lead/hype man and everything in between. Mariah should really just let lose and sing. She doesn't have to be scared because even on her worst day she can out sing everyone else. (Saturday 22 October 2016; 18:20)

As far as I remember, Mariah is possibly the highest selling in the Soundscan era, which her team conveniently leaves out but if anyone ever questions it, they can say that it is true subject to the condition. (67,336) (67,339) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter None but it's probably for the best because Christmas is Mariah's season and in just a few weeks she will be all over the place and this time in addition to her usual Christmas festivities she has a brand new reality show and her MAC collaboration to promote so I would like to believe she is laying low at the moment to avoid looking overexposed when Christmas season starts. Am I listening to the wrong music or what? I mean why do people think she's a great artist? She is not a writer, can barely sing and isn't even a great performer. Yet she gets a lot of praise. Mariah has also appreciated Madonna's contribution to the music industry. I don't know if a collaboration will ever happen because their music is so different but I'd like to believe that they have grown out of their comments which they made when they were younger (although Mariah's was a defense) and are in a place in their lives where they are comfortable with each others success and acknowledge each others legendary status. In fact Bey would be the 2014 version of JLo in 2001 because both times Mariah was going through a personal struggle when her concept was stolen. And that pissed her off more. Instead of ignoring Bey, Mariah has continued to address the rumors about the collaboration and expressed how she would be ready "anytime Bey wants to do it" and then she went ahead and took a photo with Beyonce and posted it on her Instagram. Then let's not forget the birthday post calling her "Queen Bey" (which could have gotten Mishka fired and then talking about some inside joke). All in all these would not happen if Beyonce was the one who betrayed Mariah. (Saturday 15 October 2016; 6:08)

She tries a lot of different things which pays off most of the times although sometimes it doesn't. But that's a gamble that one needs to engage in. Mariah used to take risks earlier in her career whereby she started new trends and popularized some trends that were already existing but not that popular. But after a point she stopped doing that and stuck to her formula which is funny because she used to complain earlier in her career how the music label would want her to always stick to a formula and she would have to fight them to deviate from it. But overall Mariah is a songwriter through and through, and a really great one at that. She really knows how to pen good songs, while Beyonce is not a songwriter but she makes clever decisions about songs she records by hiring hot producers and collaborators. I mean her face is naturally in good condition and she seems to sometimes go a little overboard on the fillers which closes up her eyes. She really should just let it be. She talked about how she gets a couple of writers together, say in a house, and they wrote several songs and she will come later and go from room to room approving or rejecting songs and also adding maybe a word or two (which honestly anyone can do) to the already completed songs. MAC promo (67,238) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I have been waiting for this official promo shoot for so long now. And boy did she deliver. Look at this stunning promo photo for her new MAC collection. Here is a sneak peak of some (not all) of the products that will be in the line. I can't deal with the gorgeousness of the packaging. After the horrible champagne frost (aka silver chunky glitter) lipstick with no special packaging, this is probably one of MAC's best limited edition packaging of all (all caps) time. Can't wait for more promo pics and details. I am so proud of her finally embracing her natural size and not bothering with slimming stuff down unnecessarily. She is a gorgeous woman. I love that they didn't alter her body, or her face. We just have the airbrushed skin which is mandatory for promo shoots. So people will have no opportunity of screaming "photoshop" this time around. (Thursday 13 October 2016; 20:15)

The same happened a while back. However, I will be very happy if Mariah actually manages to pull a big surprise. Another reason for the silence maybe they are rehearsing for the SSFT shows. She basically played a toned down Mariah, that is a Mariah without the "dahlin'" and vocal fry and flipping her head to get the hair to cover her face. But it was a good exposure in the sense that a lot of the casual fans/non fans were surprised to see her and actually liked her performance and the song. I personally do not think Mariah is a strong actress. And that is completely fine, her main job is to be a singer and Lord knows she delivers that part time and time again. I would however love for her to take chances and get her name involved in popular TV shows. I would have loved for her to be in "How To Get Away With Murder" or AHS but I do not know how she will be able to cope with serious shows. But they can write in characters around her real character, say a big pop star in legal trouble for "How To Get Away", a one episode stint, or an over the top being chased by the bad guy in a short stint on AHS. But those won't be challenging, however it would be fun and get her exposure. I would love for her to appear in "Scream Queens". She will fit right in with the fur coats and jewellery and expensive clothes/shoes/bags. Haha. Plus it would really give her an opportunity to show off her sense of humor. Wendy (67,064) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Wendy covered Mariah's Empire debut. She praised Mariah a lot. From her looks/outfits/hair to her character. She also said that like many other people she hopes that Kitty can somehow become a recurring character and Mariah should consider it. I personally don't think that's necessary, I mean down the line, sure 1 more episode maybe but that's it. But it's nice to see that her appearance made such an impact that a lot of people want her back on the show. Really happy for that. Mariah consider "How To Get Away With Murder", AHS, and she should go for "Scream Queens". It'll be perfect. Scream Queens is so extra, I love it. Mariah will fit in perfectly. Empire also topped the Nielsen Social Content ratings and much ahead of AHS (which has a huge following). So yes. As for the new song, I wouldn't get my hopes up just yet. Before the last leg of Vegas Mariah said we are likely going to hear her debut multiple songs, one each night, replacing "Infinity" but at the end of the day she only replaced it with ILT, that too only for the last few shows. Empire thoughts (67,044) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I thought Mariah did fine in Empire. She looked great, her song got a lot of attention. The general public seems to love her appearance and the song so I guess as a lamb I am always way more demanding (but that's maybe because I know her whole catalogue and not just chart toppers). But since the GP is on her side, I'd gladly take that and celebrate. I do wish her role was a bit longer and they somehow found a way to make it a little more substantial. Let's say they included scenes of her writing the song with Jamal or coaching him somewhat. When they said "Kitty helps Jamaal overcome his obstacles", I thought there will be some mentoring moments. That would pave the way for her character to return. But overall I'm happy to see the general public responding so positively to her character. It's really nice to see them going gaga over her. It has been way too long since we got a reaction like this. I hope she takes chances and gets on some more well known TV shows. (Thursday 6 October 2016; 10:28)

How can it be "unrealistic bodies"? Just because they are skinny? It would have been unrealistic if they used photoshop in photos to make it look like something they aren't. So is Demi suggesting that Taylor and her friends somehow found a way to "photoshop" themselves while they are walking around in real life? Demi is really stupid. To say their body type is unrealistic is her just hating. There is no "normal body" type. Some people are skinny, some chubby, some on the meatier side. None of them have a "wrong body type". Demi deserves all the backlash she gets. I am not even a Taylor Swift fan but Demi basically is just thirsty. This girl basically inserts herself in situations where she is not even a factor and then she plays the victim. In her head she is defending her "friends". I have never seen Katy or Ariana or JLo referring to Demi as their friends, neither do they need her to defend them. They are all more relevant than her, even JLo is more relevant than Demi and she is twice her age. This "break" won't last for more than 24 hours because the woman lives for attention. She'll come back with a nude spread talking about how she won't let haters affect her career. Then she'll call herself a feminist and bash some other artist to get attention to that interview because lord knows no one is checking for Demi interviews only for her boring answers. Demi dug her own grave when she came for the queen of the music industry, Miss Mariah Carey. (Thursday 6 October 2016; 10:22)

Empire outfits (66,998) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter Although I still need to know why Mariah is wearing a bodysuit in the studio, I have to say the scene of her rehearsing in that fitted gown on stage, she looks fabulous. Beautiful woman, loved the hair and outfit. I laughed out when she needed 2 people to help her get down from the stage but she did look beautiful. I hope this shuts the fat shamers and photoshop rumors. Yes she does use photoshop but in most of her recent shoots (the Vegas shoot, the SSFT Europe promo poster, the Complex shoot and the Other one with the pink background) they might have airbrushed her skin but her body size was not shrunk down.
