1997 versus 2016 (67,482) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter I see a lot of then and now comparisons of Mariah on social media and this recently caught my eyes and it's incredible how she looks basically the same 20 years later. Now that her fillers have come down to normal size and her face has become smaller, she basically looks like how she did back then with maybe a few years difference. But that too can be pinned down on the heavier eye makeup she is wearing in the 2016 picture. Without it, she can pass off as her old self. (Monday 24 October 2016; 19:24)

Are you thinking along the lines of how it creates an air of mystery and suspense around Beyonce and that makes people interested in her? If that's the case, I have to say E. (and Mariah's entire promotional team) is so darn stupid it pisses me off to no end. This, if true, has to be the most pathetic attempt at promo. If not, some stupid random person/bot clearly doesn't understand how people have fun with ghoulish/evil costumes during Halloween. If everyone who dresses up as Satan/evil is Illuminati related, then that covers just about everyone celebrating Halloween. All these aside, I honestly can't tolerate how lame Mariah's PR and marketing teams are. Seriously she is one of the richest celebs out there and her roll outs are just so random and always incomplete. Almost like it's an afterthought or like they thought of promoting it and then abandoned it mid way, letting it sink and then never acknowledging it again. (Monday 24 October 2016; 19:17)

I loved that they coordinated their Halloween outfits with the kids and I admire that they still come together during the holidays for the kids because it must not be easy for them. It's nice to see them be civil and pose with each other for photos so that their kids have memories to look back at. Both of them can have many faults but as parents they are great and I will always admire that. Mariah being the diva of all divas still keeps her kids grounded by dressing them up like normal kids and not as fashion accessories. Nick I'm sure tries to bring in the "down to earth" attitude in their lives. They both are good parents. (Sunday 23 October 2016; 18:20)

First of all, she acknowledges the fact that the host has given up his usual seat so that Mariah can get her preferred side. She asks if that's ok with him. Then she randomly starts singing out to "Heartbreaker" playing in the background. We hardly ever hear her randomly sing out in interviews nowadays. She used to do it a lot before. She looks so young and fresh. It just instant takes off so many years. She is definitely much more leaner now and from the pics she is certainly feeling very confident, you can just see it in her face. The last time she was on, you could tell she wasn't happy with herself (although I thought she looked great) so she didn't move much except for the epic dance at the end haha. But I'm hoping this time she is more animated, less vocal fry "Dahlin' it's too early for me to sing" and more belting and showing off her voice. (Saturday 22 October 2016; 18:26)

Adele's was fun through and through and she went viral with her little rap imoment where she covered Nicki Minaj and people went crazy. Selena Gomez tried to "sing" her heart out, she sounded horrible but girl tried. Jennifer Lopez was jamming out to her records like it's nobody's business. Same goes for most of the singers, except for maybe Britney who didn't sing much. They all sing and perform, at times they are overtaken by James but that's all fun. Whereas in Mariah's segment she announced she won't sing right when she got in and she was basically just going on about how it's too early for her. This is an overused excuse and if she gets on a "Karaoke" show and refuses to sing, then she shouldn't even bother showing up. So the difference here is while the other stars really jam out in their segments regardless of Corden sometimes hogging the attention (all fun, dude is hilarious), in Mariah's episode Corden was basically doing all he could to keep the show going because Mariah was refusing to sing so poor dude had to sing back up/front lead/hype man and everything in between. Mariah should really just let lose and sing. She doesn't have to be scared because even on her worst day she can out sing everyone else. (Saturday 22 October 2016; 18:20)

As far as I remember, Mariah is possibly the highest selling in the Soundscan era, which her team conveniently leaves out but if anyone ever questions it, they can say that it is true subject to the condition. (67,336) (67,339) by Mimi L. from Empower Your Highlighter None but it's probably for the best because Christmas is Mariah's season and in just a few weeks she will be all over the place and this time in addition to her usual Christmas festivities she has a brand new reality show and her MAC collaboration to promote so I would like to believe she is laying low at the moment to avoid looking overexposed when Christmas season starts. Am I listening to the wrong music or what? I mean why do people think she's a great artist? She is not a writer, can barely sing and isn't even a great performer. Yet she gets a lot of praise. Mariah has also appreciated Madonna's contribution to the music industry. I don't know if a collaboration will ever happen because their music is so different but I'd like to believe that they have grown out of their comments which they made when they were younger (although Mariah's was a defense) and are in a place in their lives where they are comfortable with each others success and acknowledge each others legendary status. In fact Bey would be the 2014 version of JLo in 2001 because both times Mariah was going through a personal struggle when her concept was stolen. And that pissed her off more. Instead of ignoring Bey, Mariah has continued to address the rumors about the collaboration and expressed how she would be ready "anytime Bey wants to do it" and then she went ahead and took a photo with Beyonce and posted it on her Instagram. Then let's not forget the birthday post calling her "Queen Bey" (which could have gotten Mishka fired and then talking about some inside joke). All in all these would not happen if Beyonce was the one who betrayed Mariah. (Saturday 15 October 2016; 6:08)

She tries a lot of different things which pays off most of the times although sometimes it doesn't. But that's a gamble that one needs to engage in. Mariah used to take risks earlier in her career whereby she started new trends and popularized some trends that were already existing but not that popular. But after a point she stopped doing that and stuck to her formula which is funny because she used to complain earlier in her career how the music label would want her to always stick to a formula and she would have to fight them to deviate from it. But overall Mariah is a songwriter through and through, and a really great one at that. She really knows how to pen good songs, while Beyonce is not a songwriter but she makes clever decisions about songs she records by hiring hot producers and collaborators. I mean her face is naturally in good condition and she seems to sometimes go a little overboard on the fillers which closes up her eyes. She really should just let it be. Using fillers for no reason will stretch out her skin and then she'll end up needing them more when she grows older. (Friday 14 October 2016; 15:07)

She talked about how she gets a couple of writers together, say in a house, and they wrote several songs and she will come later and go from room to room approving or rejecting songs and also adding maybe a word or two (which honestly anyone can do) to the already completed songs.
