The same accounts for the Flemish media. Not one article about the booty pictures yet the "cake story" received some attention. A storm in a glass of water.

What to say? Well, many things actually.
1. The Daily Mail and many other british tabloids aren't exactly known for profound and intelligent journalism. These sources are exploitative and vile craving on sensationalism. One day they will put a celebrity on a pedestal to knock the same person down the day after. Didn't the Daily Mail also feature the story about Mariah suffering from Bipolar II disorder?
2. The pictures aren't the most flattering but I have seen worse from other celebrities. I guess Mimi forget about her disliking of overhead lighting that particular moment.
3. During this era she was surrounded by vultures who would never tell her "no". Knowing that Mariah has a disorder that needs very particular care which requires to abstain from anything remotely mind-expanding such as alcoholic beverages or any type of drugs. Stella gladly endulged Mariah's every wish or demand knowing this would benefit her own position. Not one person in her surroundings was actually taking proper care of her. Were they aware of her mental condition or not? Someone must have been. She wasn't looked after and was even encouraged to endulge in her cravings. This is a form of abuse.
4. Stella is clearly using every trick in the book to get back to Mariah. This moment will pass as well. Unfortunately in the old days tabloids in printed form were thrown into the bin and the next day brought new gossip. These days anything on the internet lives on forever and goes viral immediately.
5. Is Tanaka to blame? I don't know. Their relationship seems genuine to me but what do we really know about what goes on behind closed doors. I never believed that there has been a genuine relationship with Packer. Tanaka had a crush on Mimi ever since the Adventures of Mimi tour and most likely this was played out in MW as the show was very dull for starters.
6. Mariah is now paying her dues for letting people into her life and trusting them to direct her career and interfere with her personal life.
7. I wish that she would take matters into her own hands and be bold and direct about what the hell happened those crazy years with Stella. The memoirs she is writing should be straightforwardly honest and blunt. She has received many accolades the past year that celebrate her professional work. It is time for Mariah to redeem herself as a human being and gain back some respect by wiping out any doubt.

Close to your heart (89,958)

Which album from MC's catalogue resonates the most with you on a personal level and why?
Mine would be "Caution". Despite that particular album not being my favourite the story that unfolds within, albeit in a different order chronologically, matches my personal life over the last six months so much it is scary.
However my story was in the following order: - One Mo'Gen - Caution - Giving Me Life - With You - GTFO - A No No

I have seen the Rainbow tour in Antwerp. The very first time I saw MC live in concert. She did sound good but not great. At the Christmas show in Brussels last December she was on fire. She has gained a lot of confidence when it comes to her stage presence over the last years.

The whistle from "Bringin' On The Heartbreak" and the long note from "Lead The Way" ending in a stratospheric high climax. Angelic.

I doubt that this story is true. Surgeons who perform on that level do not charge on credit cards. And which member of staff, no matter what employer they work for gets credit for such high amounts? At least not in Europe.

Indeed. Despite the surgery Mariah still looks like Mariah, if not better. The amount of failed touch ups in La-la Land is countless. Madame X for instance.

The Butterfly era was very much on point. To me it is still her most poignant and profound album up to date. She looked fabulous, sexy yet classy. She was the pinnacle of the zeitgeist in those days. And the "Honey" video is still my all time favourite. Or perhaps my second favourite after "The Roof".

Re: State of her voice (89,501) (89,527)

Well said. My best friend used to work as a tenor and he performed at the major European opera houses. He told me that throughout his entire career he never used alcohol, didn't smoke and hardly ever hit the town. Preserving one's voice requires a lot of discipline and vocal hygiene. Mariah has been on the bender ever since she left Mottola. This in combination with extensive travelling, doing interviews for hours in a row and not taking the proper amount of rest is a recipe for vocal decline. Of course, a career as an opera singer requires much less PR activities and public exposure than the life of an international superstar.

That dress was indeed an atrocity and she doesn't need that kind of outfit to look sexy. The BBMA ensemble was pure perfection.

I agree. However I found Madonna's performance absolutely vulgar. I am so fed up with the S&M and religious references. She has played that card for way too long. If you take away all the dancers, the holographic crap and the sleazy dancing all you get is a very mediocre singer. Mariah looked absolutely classy (and yes, her sartorial choices aren't always the best) and she owned the stage and the room with every person in it. Madonna nagging on Twitter about how she should have received the Icon Award shows her true character. I never liked her as a person, once respected her as a pop star but the differences with a true iconic star like Mariah were never more blatant than on that evening. Noticed how Maluma looked at Mariah? Poor guy had to sing with the old bat lol.
