About T from USA :

Re: Reimagining albums into 10 tracks (99,485) (99,486) by T from USA
You try to make 10 track albums with no missteps lol. In one way there would be some good songs missing sure but on the other hand if her albums were all made to be the best ten tracks with no filler then her discography would be unparalleled.

Re: Memoirs (99,482) (99,483) by T from USA
Memoirs is just such s great listen. I secretly wish it was 12 tracks of just the best songs so it could compete with Butterfly as her all time best R&B album.
1. Betcha
2. Obsessed
3. HATEU
4. Candy Bling
5. Ribbon
6. Inseparable
7. Standing O
8. It's a Wrap
9. More Than Just Friends
10. The Impossible
11. Angels Cry
12. Languishing

Re: Say Something and I Wish You Knew (or Mine Again) (99,463) (99,466) by T from USA
The stars aligned and everything worked in Mariah's favour. It's actually a career miracle if you really think about it. It would've been another Charmbracelet in terms of success and who knows if AIWFCIY would've even grown if she never became cool again. A lot can be owed to JD and LA Reid who suggested she go back and collaborate with her friend. Mariah left only to her own devices produces something more along the lines of MIAMTEC or Rainbow.

Reimagining albums into 10 tracks (99,462) by T from USA
Some of Mariah's greatest albums with the best flow happen to be her ten track albums. Imagine Mariah only made albums with 10 tracks since the very beginning? Which song(s) would you leave off to create the perfect album. (Hint: it's not so easy.) I'll go first.

Debut: Prisoner
Daydream: Interlude, Open Arms
Butterfly: Reprise, Beautiful Ones
Rainbow: Interludes, DIDT, How Much
Glitter: Loverboy Remix, Twista
Charmbracelet: Boy, TTR Remix, Ir, YHRC
TEOM: (too hard to make into ten tracks)
E=MC2: Bye Bye, LV, LK, OOC
MOAIA: UOMF, MTJF, Impossible, IWTKWLI
MIAMTEC: Heavenly, OMT, $*/., Camouflage

Ten points to whoever can recreate TEOM into a perfect 10 track album.

Re: How Greatest Hits should've played out (99,448) (99,452) by T from USA
I think one new studio album, one jazz album, one gospel album, and part 2 of the Rarities as well as an updated 4 disc GH is all we need from Mariah this decade. In that order.

Re: How Greatest Hits should've played out (99,435) (99,437) by T from USA
I know. I just wish it all could've been different with a big greatest hits package in 2015 on her 25th anniversary. #1's could've even been a bigger seller if they kept up with that one instead of having GH released three years after #1's.

How Greatest Hits should've played out (99,430) by T from USA
I know that GH became a big seller for Mariah but it also ate away at her catalog sales and #1s album at the time. Instead I wish Sony just updated #1's with the two tracks in 2001. Then Greatest Hits could've come out as a joint project between Sony/Universal in 2015 with a three disc set. 45 songs. Obviously, #1's could have once again been reissued in 2021 (twenty years later) to include AIWFCIY. Leaving the same classic cover in place. That's how I wish it played out.

Re: Blending eras (99,388) (99,390) by T from USA
Similar: debut - Emotions - Unplugged. Also Music Box - Merry Christmas. Opposite: Glitter - Charmbracelet. Also Charmbracelet - TEOM. And of course MIAMTEC - Caution.

Re: Great singers are a dime a dozen (99,385) (99,387) by T from USA
I think it's that X-factor. Mariah not only has a technically sound voice but she has a voice for what she wants to say. She has an opinion and she expresses it through her voice. She was also not afraid to put herself out there and do anything she needed to do to make it.

Re: Record exec - day to day management (99,327) (99,330) by T from USA
Thanks. I hope it comes true. Mariah needs a team to get her to that spot she and we know she's capable of.

Re: Record exec - day to day management (99,312) (99,326) by T from USA
I can't find what she said about the former exec. What was the context? I hope it's someone who believed in her then but also believes in her now. I would like Lyor or LA to guide her next musical output. Imagine it was Tommy.

Re: Never Forget You (99,304) (99,306) by T from USA
It's not that. Nobody wants her to go backward they just want to hear those classical melodies that her and Walter managed to pull out of each other. Walter mostly works with artists over fifty. Well news flash - that's Mariah. And not in a dismissive way but in a she's the boss way. She's made it to a point where people will relish in those classic MC sounds.

Straight forward singing (99,303) by T from USA
I know Mariah loves the sound of Fall In Love At Christmas with all the different voices and sounds but I also have this belief from talking to a lot of people that if she just had some straight forward singing songs, just her voice in just one octave, she would resonate with the audience again. Some may say that was Caution, and I say yes. Caution was a step in the right direction.

Re: Latest Instagram post (99,278) (99,279) by T from USA
She could've used covid to immerse herself into her work to create something special. By the sounds of it she binged a lot of Netflix lol. In the old days she would lock herself away to create those stellar albums. Covid was the one last time I could see Mariah go back to that total seclusion to find a deep meaning album.

Re: Latest Instagram post (99,275) (99,277) by T from USA
Remember at the beginning Melissa used to be everywhere Mariah went? Kinda like Stella was around all the time. And Tommy. Maybe Mariah needs that constant managerial support to keep her from going too far. She seems to always be looking off to the side during those interview segments. Is she looking for reassurance or guidance?

Re: The Butterfly Lounge: the Atlanta sessions (99,259) (99,260) by T from USA
I really wish she would leave [Butterfly] alone. The one album that is absolute perfection will be tainted. I know everyone is hungry for new music and it is the 25th anniversary but I would rather her just film a new music video to a song on the album. Say Babydoll or Close My Eyes. Although I can picture a track on a re-release so I do know lol.

Re: Where Are You Christmas? (99,247) (99,253) by T from USA
When did she say there's no demo? Last I heard her say during the book promotion was that she has to look for it and then this year she was going to do something with it but then decided to focus on FILAC because she loved it so much.

Hybrid non Christmas/Christmas album (99,238) by T from USA
I had a thought, what would've it been like it FILAC appeared on Caution in 2018? A studio album with one romantic Christmas song to be able to help sell the album. With Cautions release date being in November she could've segued into the holiday season while not abandoning her current project. A song like FILAC would've fit nicely on Caution and just because the word Christmas appears in the song doesn't take away from the general theme of love. ABBAs new studio album has a Christmas song on it as well.

Re: Smoke and mirrors (99,215) (99,217) by T from USA
Mariah has gained a ton of weight, she's once again not sleeping and then shows up on national tv insecure about her looks. This is crazy. She is so beautiful and could come back looking like a million dollars if she wants. Her voice is gone. She will use the covid tour excuse as her reason to not tour, and I for one agree with her on it. Preserve what little she has left and don't strain it. It was all the touring that did this to her in the first place. And the unhealthy lifestyle. Before every album era she says her voice is in great shape and like lambs being led to slaughter we buy it. She will keep playing this game with us, although my suspicion is that if it turns out to not be true than the fans will not be happy because there is nothing else to hang hope on except the vocal surgeon.

Re: Change (99,189) (99,194) by T from USA
If she cannot do a whole song live now as it is then what's the difference if she looses the whistle? To me that would be the easiest thing to lip to in a pre-recorded situation. I would rather her do the surgery so she can sing 90% like she used to.

Re: Uncertainty (99,142) (99,148) by T from USA
The reason her musical director might be going back to the well for the older stuff is because the older stuff was really that good. It's pure magic. If she's going to revisit the past, why not start with a person from the past who is part of the legacy? Why not team up with Walter Afanasief outside of Tommy's control and see what will materialize. Maybe the best stuff yet.

Re: Uncertainty (99,126) (99,129) by T from USA
It's happening. She already did [...] and has been into reimagining her songs as of late (oh Santa, CBPCH, WBT, etc). The Butterfly Lounge is recreating Butterfly the album for the 25th anniversary next year. It's why she said she's planning something with [...]. Those songs are so closely tied to her memoir that it's the next logical step to get people to hear them again. Notice The Rarities didn't have anything Butterfly related? That's because it's all happening next year.

Re: Uncertainty (99,117) (99,125) by T from USA
Forget about fresh. Word on the street is that she's reimagining songs like [The Roof and [My All] for [Butterfly's] 25th anniversary in 2022. Brandy and the Clark sisters would be part of that project.
