I'm listening to it on Spotify here in Norway. I should be sleeping.

Were I Mariah's manager (103,135) by TJ from Norway
Perfect for an indie album. They never sell that much anyway.

Were I Mariah's manager (103,131) by TJ from Norway
Haha. I tough I was bad. I still live in the memory of 1990 to 1996. I had a conversation with a friend of mine who is an opera singer (professionally) and he said that he was not surprised that he was not surprised by the decrease of her voice during the years. She's not a soprano, but sings in that voice too much, and that female voices seems to get broken during the years if they don't take care of it. Thank God I got to experience the height of that incredible career. No one over, no one on the side.

Mariah's version (103,099) by TJ from Norway
I talked about the same many years ago, when Alanis Morissette re-released her debut album as an acoustic album. Sadly she didn't do it then. I really don't think she will able to do it now.

You messing with Daydream? (103,053) by TJ from Norway
Music Box is perfect (as her debut album also was), Daydream is to me, almost there. Butterfly was on fire, like Glitter was. So much good music.

MC's next era (102,955) by TJ from Norway
Hard Rock, alternative punk, Pop, and every other genre, except RnB. I am so tired of that sound.

MB30 (102,909) by TJ from Norway
I agree. I remember that I was a little bit disappointed of her high notes in 93. I love her version of [Emotions] on the [Proctors] performance, but it was not the same as her debut album. Her voice has been changing since 1990.

I didn't like them when the album was released. It felt old at the moment. Not 1993.

I love that album, too. Not a big fan of the two uptempos (track number 5 and 8?), but the rest is just perfect. I've been driving to work singing "Hero" every day for a month now, trying to face another day ( kidding). I love my work.

Forbes richest women, no Mariah (102,826) by TJ from Norway
I agree that Mariah's popularity in 93-96 was untouchable, and another thing is that she only focused on what was important, the music. At the same time we have to remember that it's all about the perspective. Mariah was insane big in the US and some Asian countries. Celine was extremely popular in Europe and North America. I don't know about the African sales numbers, or how it was in South America. I do know how it was in Europe.

You are absolutely right. She also had a classy, still sexy vibe when TEOM was released. I don't know about you guys, but the outfit on the concert the other day, was not good at all.

Dreamlover has always been on top of the list. Joy To The World is probably the second one, and one of those singles cover that people don't remember.

What is your initial fan story? (102,623) by TJ from Norway
I became a fan after watching her debut video in 1990. Vision of Love is still one of my favourite songs. The video brings back so many memories. What I am really sad about is the fact that I didn't realise the reason to buy singles before 1992-93. I remember looking at this Love Takes Time cd single in Copenhagen. It had a cover of her sitting in a chair. Lovely picture.

Female singers (102,584) by TJ from Norway
I know that show business is harder for women, but the reason I like Sting and many other male singers is the fact that they have not tried to compete with the younger generations. I love Mariah, I love Madonna and many more, but why don't they make music that mirror their life, and their age. I'm getting older too, and younger artists like Adele feels more my age. I love Mariah, specially 1990 to 1997. Drop the lazy RnB. Make melodies.
