About Mike from FL, USA: Loooooong time Mariah fan.

Re: 16 Weeks (90,444) (90,446) by Mike from FL, USA
I'm with you. I'm so glad she didn't do an OTR remix lol. Let's let him have it. Mariah took the record from someone lol.

Same here. It really is a pretty song.

Re: Caution next single should be? (86,252) (86,267) by Mike from FL, USA
Haha, that’s actually a cute idea: Mariah pushing a mower in her red bottoms.

Caution (86,265) by Mike from FL, USA
I actually really like Caution from beginning to end. Standouts to me would be Caution, Giving Me Life and 8th Grade. Oh, and The Distance. I don't care much for A No No other than the Lil Kim sample, but if they make it a single, I suppose I'll support it lol. Don't know if the album will be a commercial success, but it's the first Mariah album I've enjoyed from beginning to end since E=MC2. Oh, and I was at a wedding this past weekend and the dj actually played Last Night A DJ Saved My Life.

Such a good interview. Outside got me too.

GTFO (83,742) by Mike from FL, USA
On repeat. I didn't love it at first listen, but now I'm hooked. Very, very excited for this new era. It's nice to have music from Mimi that we can be excited about. MC15.

Blasphemy. Take it back, Andrew.

Re: "Charmbracelet" anniversary (79,621) (79,628) by Mike from FL, USA
I love Charmbracelet. My favorite is The One, mainly because of this live version. I also love Clown. Subtle Invitation is one of my all time faves.

I Don't video (72,228) by Mike from FL, USA
I just have to say how damn hot MC looks at the end of the video in that red dress. The shot of her walking behind the fire with her eyes locked on the camera - so hot. I personally love the song. I can say that I have not hit replay this many times on any one song of hers since Don't Forget About Us. Alas, I don't think it will go very far; of course I'm hoping for the best, but I dunno. I for one am just so happy that she is still making music and making me feel something, anything haha. She could be pulling a Janet, who puts out nothing, and then we would really have something to complain about.

Re: I actually like it (72,014) (72,019) by Mike from FL, USA
Sorry Andrew, you can't speak for me. I do "actually like it" and I'm certainly not one of the delusional stans that worships everything MC does. Just letting you know your generalization is wrong. But I do see the irony in how bad it has become when the expectation is that any new music will be garbage or more of the same ol stuff of late. But what can I say, I really do actually like it, lol.

I Don't (71,993) by Mike from FL, USA
I must say I actually like it. The chorus, although a little dated, is pretty catchy. I don't (pardon the pun) know if it's necessarily a hit, but I quite enjoy it. Def miles better than Infinity and Infamous. Infinity never did anything for me at all. I can't get the chorus of this one out of my head now.

Re: Ty, Charm-girl (71,458) (71,464) by Mike from FL, USA
Charmbracelet does sound very refreshing. I've been listening to Charmbracelet quite a bit recently and yesterday I caught myself thinking that "Clown" actually sounds like it could work on the radio in the present day. Anyone else think that, or am I crazy? Of course my faves on that album are The One, My Saving Grace, Subtle Invitation, I Only Wanted and Clown, of course. I quite like Charmbracelet. So thankful that MC has such a vast collection of albums and songs.

Re: Vodka (71,345) (71,357) by Mike from FL, USA
Guessing she drank all the stock. Jk, but lol the alcohol in MW can't be good for voice. It's literally every scene: MC with glass in hand.

Re: Docu-series (71,216) (71,238) by Mike from FL, USA
So true, Deedra. If I had to live my life if front of the media, I'd be having "splashes" too. I can count on my fingers and toes all the complaints I have about the current status of Mariah's career, team, etc, but the truth is, none or is truly know what goes on behind closed doors or the reason(s) MC acts as she does.

Re: Billboard and Ed Sheran (71,226) (71,230) by Mike from FL, USA
Nah, the Glitter era was pretty bad. What I mean is people were writing her off left and right. And when Virgin dropped her, many thought it was the end of her career. Not saying she will rebound again as she did with TEOM, but it was def a low point. It's so disheartening because most of us here know she can still sing her ass off when she is prepared and rested. I saw her at Beacon on December 14 this year and although not the vocal powerhouse of the 90s, she was damn good. Joy To The World was breathtaking.

Re: The One, Shining Through the Rain (71,222) (71,229) by Mike from FL, USA
This is my favorite MC performance, ever. I always loved The One and those notes at the end, just wow. Second would probably be Somewhere Over The Rainbow at the tribute to Patti.

Re: New Year's in New York (70,941) (70,946) by Mike from FL, USA
Good point, Andrew. MC is certainly on everyone's radar right now, even if it is due to negative circumstances. Assuming the old adage is true and there is no such thing as bad publicity, she has the perfect opportunity right now to stage a comeback attempt whilst most of the public think she's at rock-bottom. This is all hypothetical of course as I don't believe many, possibly any, of the components required for a successful comeback are present in Mariah's life at the moment. Back in 2003-2004, you could have never made me believe that Mariah would be back on top again. I didn't write her off myself, but the public perception of Mariah during the "Glitter" fiasco was just ugly and I never would have imagined she would have a career resurgence, so hey, anything is possible.

Re: Tommy defends Mariah and gives his 2 cents (70,841) (70,858) by Mike from FL, USA
I can't believe Stella is now trash talking Tommy. Calling him names when he is at least 50% responsible for Mariah's early successes is a bit flippant to say the least. I do think Stella has done some good - of course the bad does seem to outweigh most of the good - but I think it was so disrespectful calling Tommy names and attempting to put him down. The man knows what he is talking about.

Re: Wendy Williams (69,180) (69,189) by Mike from FL, USA
Wendy really is a vile woman. I would be so ashamed of myself going on television everyday talking about other people as if I knew all the happenings in their life. Seeing as Wendy has a closet full of skeletons, it's just not a good look. Praying she goes back behind the scenes, i.e. radio, or better yet, disappears completely.

Re: Beacon (69,152) (69,188) by Mike from FL, USA
Can't wait. The woman really does love Christmas. Beacon is a chance for her to do her thing and she really seems to enjoy these shows. I'll be there on the 14th. This is my first year going and I'm beyond excited.

Re: Calling it quits (67,552) (67,558) by Mike from FL, USA
Agree 100%. PR stunt from the beginning. Hey, it got her name back in the media, for better or worse.

Re: Mariah and Bryson Tiller (67,402) (67,408) by Mike from FL, USA
Agreed. At most, she makes a positive comment about the song and then keep it moving. Sit back and collect that check.

Beacon (67,407) by Mike from FL, USA
Ended up getting tickets for December 14th show. Not front row but I couldn't care less. Still close enough and I am so MF excited. 51 days.
