About Ray from Malaysia: Long time fan from Malaysia!

Skipped song was once most fav song (39,159) by Ray from Malaysia There are a few songs I skip because I'm simply not into them. But there is one that I avoided like a plague, for an entirely different reason. It was One Sweet Day. The single came out when I was 17. I loved it to death. It was my anthem. I loved every remix of the song. I listened to them a gazillion times. For so long I was in love with the song. I thought I knew every bit of the song better then the back of my hands. And then the moment came. I couldn't listen to it anymore. I just couldn't. From then on, I always skipped the song. Even hearing a brief intro of it was too much to bear. I guess a fuse must have broken in my brain when it exceeded the breaking capacity. Haha. Right now, I'm slowly trying to ease back into listening to the entire song. It's a slow process, but I think there is progress. (Saturday 31 August 2013; 18:40)

Favorite ballad (38,134) by Ray from Malaysia Like so many of you, it is almost impossible to list down just a few ballads when there are so many that I love, especially from her earlier catalog. But my all time favorite ballad that I would go back and listen to over and over again would be Love Takes Time. While Vision Of Love caught my attention, LTT sealed my fate as a fan. AI finale (37,843) by Ray from Malaysia A few things I'm most excited about for the AI finale. First, Mariah's wardrobe. Since she's performing so there will definitely be a wardrobe change. Secondly, her performance. She seldom does medleys, so this will be something special. Hopefully it will consist of 3 or more of her hits. I'm wondering what the song selections would be. And then, her singing. She's gotta nail this part. Now, I just can't wait. (Monday 13 May 2013; 20:49)

Judging AI (37,539) by Ray from Malaysia You don't have to be mean to be critical. And being critical doesn't require you to look for errors and negativity all the time. If someone is already good, critiques can make them even better. Mariah has the capacity to do so. I personally think some of the contestants are very talented and skillful. If there is no fault to be found in their performances, then maybe Mariah could help them enhance their performances for the following weeks. (Thursday 11 April 2013; 12:57)

Promote (37,383) by Ray from Malaysia Please promote the song already. If Mariah doesn't care about her chart success anymore, then her team should. That's why you have a team. Almost Home video (37,354) by Ray from Malaysia Classy. I watched it over and over again, and discovering so many details each time. Mariah is immaculate. It's almost 3am here in Kuala Lumpur. I'll retire for the night with the song in my head and perhaps I'll be transpored to the land of Oz in my dreams. Goodnight world. (Friday 8 March 2013; 20:00)

Promotion and support (37,304) by Ray from Malaysia I think everybody has to do their part in order for a song, an album, or an artist to be successful. Yes, I do agree many older fans have left the boat a long time ago. With the right song (and vocals, of course), they might just return. Fans should go out and support, but it should not just come from fans alone. A song should also reach a broader audience. The artist and his/her team must do their bit in releasing quality material and then promoting it properly. I may be wrong with my observation, but Mariah or her team seemed to lose their focus from promoting E=MC2 after she got married. And then, her focus shifted from promoting Memoirs to talking about the movie Precious almost all the time during that period. Again, I may be wrong. But I do agree that AI is a strong platform to promote. Perhaps she will utilize the opportunity at one point or another. Lets hope she holds her focus this time. Almost Home video preview (37,252) by Ray from Malaysia From the preview, I think the video is quite classy. Something that I've been hoping Mariah would do for such a long time. Lets hope that Almost Home will be a huge smash. After performing Bring It On Home and releasing Triumphant, third time is a charm, isn't it? (Wednesday 20 February 2013; 3:02)
