Touch My Body (101,506) by Terna from Nigeria This song goes hard in a peculiar satisfying way. It hasn't aged at all and even sounds stronger today. It came on when working out on my playlist and it was a pleasant surprise to listen to after not playing it in quite a while. Just a total bop and fun record, I can see why it went number one. . Funny enough it is one of those rare moments that in hind sight, the video is a perfect match for the song. Haha. Why was that era so short? (Friday 21 October 2022; 23:25)

We all miss that MC we used to know, and I guess you now understand the goats from the early 90's. I love the performance you refer to, and I wish she could still do that, but at this point I'm thinking that she has nothing more to prove, and I will always think of that out of this world voice she provided us with in the beginning of her career. No one can top that. Vision of Love is the proof of that. Of course I want her success in the future, but she has proven so much at this point that it's almost not human. I think the ones who grew up with her music or "know" Mariah for so long have another view on certain things. But we always want her to "win" and that she gives the best she can. What I love about Mariah is, that she can do any music genre and sounds phenomenel. Country and Jazz [are] complete different styles, but Mariah can do both of them. I'm so happy to have witnessed the 90ies music. But I can't believe it's been 25 years since Butterfly was released. I remember it, as it was yesterday. I love the two new remixes, it takes me back to a better time. Almost like the time machine from "Doc Brown". The live versions of "Butterfly" and "My All" are very emotional and so good, although well-known by the lambily. Butterfly is the perfect album for autumn. Thanks to Mariah for giving us the anniversary edition for Butterfly. It's good for the soul. (Sunday 18 September 2022; 15:23)

Re: If Butterfly single was released (101,241) (101,243) by MusicfanJ from Germany Excatly, it was released in Europe. I remember it was played a lot on MTV but didn't chart high compared to "Honey". So I also think "Butterfly" wouldn't have been a "hit" in the US at that time. "Honey" and "My all" were the number ones, rightly so. I would have loved to see "The roof" at number one back then, maybe on the US charts. But all the live performances with "Butterfly" and the video playing on MTV, the many interviews with MC, it was wonderful. So many good memories. The music generally had another quality. Re: Not Mystical now (101,161) (101,164) by MusicfanJ from Germany In the 90ies I started to listen to R. Kelly because of "I believe I can fly" like so many did. But since I know what an evil man he is, I can't listen to his songs any more. When he started to look like a "gangsta rapper" around 2000 with the explicit lyrics many thought he's no good, but that in reality he's such a monster is for me a reason I can't stand his music anymore. Plus his singing quality was indeed overrated. I prefer the good old Teddy Pendergrass. With Mystikal I never owned music from him. "Don't stop" is a cool, fun song. But yes without him the song would be even better. Only Mariah would be a dream. The same with "Last night a DJ saved my life". Fabulous' part was good but with Busta Rhymes it was a bit too much for my taste. (Thursday 8 September 2022; 11:54)

"Unbreak my heart" was a big hit in Germany, it was played everyday with the video. The same with "Spanish Guitar". How I miss real music like that. (Tuesday 6 September 2022; 12:29)

I love all her ballads, but the tracklist was a bit disappointing for a fan. For non-fans or casual Mariah listeners it's a good compilation. (Saturday 3 September 2022; 15:27)

But I fear Mariah isn't ready to leave the "fresh RnB sound" behind. Unplugged or a duet album or with covers would be great. That would be a big surprise. Maybe one day, I hope so. I always changed the radio station when the song was played. And it was played a lot. Lol. But then the next song was "Fantasy", "ABMB" , "Open Arms" or "One Sweet Day" and everything was fine. Well, it is just a matter of taste. Isn't it? But my vote goes to "Daydream". (Thursday 25 August 2022; 19:36)

Yes, there was a good competion back then, but we are talking about "Daydream". For "Fantasy" alone there should have been the award. It was Mariah's year musically, she was 24/7 on MTV, on the radio stations around the world. And then there was "One sweet day". It was Mariah mania, maybe this is one reason why they didn't get her one Grammy. Plus that her husband at that time was the boss of Sony. Pure envy. Mariah and Luis duet (101,010) by MusicfanJ from Germany I really would like to know how this hidden duet with Luis Miguel sounds. Didn't she say that their voices didn't match well together?
