About MusicfanJ from Germany: I'm a fan of Mariah since Daydream came out.

Music Box 30th Anniversary (103,337) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes, I'm confused too. I hope it's on Amazon. I would prefer a CD like "The Rarities", yes I'm old school.

Music Box 30th anniversary revealed (103,275) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Finally good news I was waiting for. I love Music Box, outstanding album. It's perfect and I'm very excited for the 30th anniversary release. I'm sure we all will be happy with it. I'm doing a "Music Box evening" tonight.

Haha, thanks for the laugh. Or maybe new Christmas cookies or sweets for Halloween.

Perfection (103,178) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Absolutely. I can't stand this KI stuff. It really takes the magic away. I need a real human voice not a human voice mixed by a KI. There's no real emotion on it.

Today Whitney would've been 60 (103,155) by MusicfanJ from Germany
I do believe they liked each other. They had some things in common for sure. I miss Whitney, I grew up with her music. What a voice. Just like with Michael Jackson. The good 90ies, I really miss them so badly. I just bought today a 90ies compilation, because I love the music from that time and have so many good memories from that decade. Even songs which were not so great, are fantastic compared to today's music. We had Rock, RnB, Pop, Soul, Hip-Hop and more genres, there was something for everyone. Real artists and musicians. But back to Whitney, I really wish she would be alive, happy and still making music. So sad.

Albums (103,129) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Please not. I don't want a robot AI Mariah on an album. I still dream about a jazz album. I just listened to Aretha's "Bill Bailey won't you please come home". I would love songs like that for Mariah. Retro soul like "When I feel it" would be great as well. If I want Mariah at her best I can listen to her wonderful catalogue from the 90ies, no AI is needed. Of course that's just my opinion.

Charmbracelet tour (103,117) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes, I saw her in Munich and she was flawless. Everything was on point. She was a fantastic performer, great show, stunning voice. Mariah's charisma was incredible, her look superstar/diva at her best. One of the best nights in my life. I will never forget. Charmbracelet tour is underrated, it was magical. She was so confident and sweet.

You messing with Daydream? (103,051) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yes it is. I became a Mariah fan because of this album. (I still have the original cassette.) It's perfect. I played it at my school times for everyone, and most of them loved it too. It's the ultimate Mariah album besides "debut", "Emotions", and "Music Box". I'll love it forever and ever.

I don't believe it either. Until there is evidence. Just another rumor about breaking up, isn't it?

Ray Dalton (103,004) by MusicfanJ from Germany
We had him on our morning show today, what a great voice and friendly man. A "new" singer who can sing. I know he was first a background singer, but that voice really must be heard alone. I hope there will be an album soon. Mariah should do a song with him.

Emotionally stiff (102,989) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Great post Stacey. Yes, it can't get any more emotional than with "Til the end of time". A person who doesn't feel anything while listening, has no connection to the heart and soul. "Can't let go" is in the same "league". And "So blessed". I tested it today and had immadiately goosebumbs when her voice gets darker on the song.

MC should come clean (102,981) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Enjoying life is the best she and everybody else can do. I wish we would get another album but her unique music catalogue makes me happy every time. Plus all the wonderful videos on YouTube and the concerts of my private collection. Happy Sunday lambs.

E=MC2 is a perfect summer album. A lot of non-fans love it. Yes, it's so radio-friendly.

End times scenario (102,977) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"I hate to say this but Generation X and Millennials may have witnessed the last days of music having consumption numbers attached." Absolutely. The music biz is gone (with the golden days like everything else right now). I'm so thankful to have witnessed Michael, Whitney, Tina, Janet, George Michael, Prince, Celine and many more. Plus all the RnB artists from the 90ies until 2005. Real artists, no Tik Tokkers, influencers and all the other self-promoters. I like that the Rolling Stones and Tom Jones are still "rocking" and touring. Tom Jones has still a wonderful voice. The same with Pauli Carmen from "Champagne". I love when "How about us" gets played on my radio station. Good music will always be good music. The 60ies, 70ies, 80ies, 90ies were the best musicwise. The last 5 years are the worst, with few exceptions. Luckily we can listen to real music everyday. I don't need the trends.

Good news (102,967) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Yeah, a lot of "older' ones (over 30 lol) are not so into Tik Tok for many reasons. Personally I don't get the hype with that app and stupid challenges that were going on. But it's nice to hear about a new Spotify record. Yes, Mariah was often ahead of its [her] time. Especially in 2001 with Glitter and the 80ies funk.

Good news (102,963) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Queen of Tik Tok? Please not. Queen of music or of RnB suits better. I read that Tik Tok is banned in two states of the US, is that correct? Would anyone miss it? I don't need it for sure. I'm waiting for real music news while I'm enjoying her dance mixes.

MC's next era (102,961) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Pop would be nice mixed with classic RnB. But my favourite would be Jazz of course. She could record some great jazz standards and create some new jazz songs. I love her rendition of "Lullaby of Birdland". That genre really suits her. For her look, I prefer classic and natural. But music should be first. I'm really "hungry" for something new. But please no Christmas, except two or three songs on the Rarities part two.

The greatest songwriter (102,945) by MusicfanJ from Germany
"It's a 'too good to be true' moment." Absolutely. It's too much to handle for most of the people. Her voice, her look, the charisma. People think a songwriter is a "normal looking" person with a guitar. But not a diva. Anyway at least we fans and music insiders know her other talents beside the most beautiful voice ever.

The Roof (102,926) by MusicfanJ from Germany
We had a little summer storm here. Now I'm listening to "The Roof". What a song. Perfect song for the heat, the rain and the evening. I'm addicted to it, since it came out in 97. I love everything, the lyrics, the mood, the video (gorgeous, pure video music art). I even love the rap part. RnB at its best.

Bebe Rexha phone through (102,920) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Really? I never heard of this "trend". It's so stupid to throw a phone. Another reason why I prefer to watch a concert during the 90ies. The audience were normal people who enjoyed the artist to the fullest.

MB30 (102,917) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Great post. "And conquer it she did." Oh yeah. She did. And "Anytime you need a friend" is just not only a song, it's a feeling, a hmyn. Just for this song one needs to love MB. "If you just believe in me, I will love you endlessly, take my hand, take me into your heart, I'll be there forever baby, I won't let go, I never let go." Golden days. Memories I won't let go.

I also loved the C&C uptempo collaborations with MC and still do. I even have the debut from C&C "Gonna make you sweat". But yes, "Music Box" is the perfect album. From beginning to end.

Lol. Yes, the same here. 30 years ago, unbelievable.

Of course, I'm just kidding. Sometimes I do feel like 29 but I'm 38. But I really like my age most of the time. Experiences are a big treasure. But I miss the 90ies. A special edition of Music Box would be great. MB is one of the best soul-pop albums ever. If not the best.

Forbes richest women, no Mariah (102,844) by MusicfanJ from Germany
Absolutely. "Until Beyoncé, Taylor, Rihanna and even Madonna can match these 'tip of the iceberg' statistics I just mentioned, they are not anywhere near Mariah Carey in popularity." I witnessed Mariah mania. I witnessed the 90ies, Beyoncé, Taylor and Rihanna come not even close to this and never will. They are popular entertainers, nothing more. Mariah had a superstardom and still has only a few in this world share/shared. A Forbes list says nothing about the impact and fame an artist has. If Justin Bieber would be number one on the money list, it would not change the genius musicality and worldwide fame of Prince and Michael for example. Just watch Mariah singing "My All" at the Pavarotti and Friends concert, the look of the audience says it all. They know they witnessed a superstar that only comes once in a billion years. Taylor and Rihanna are okay but not special at all. But there will never be another Mariah.
