About Andrew from UK: Mariah fan since, randomly seeing her in concert in London on the daydream tour!

AIWFC UK No 1 (96,906) by Andrew from UK
This is a big moment, finally, she's number one. I don't often write on here anymore but today is a huge occasion for us UK lambs. I listened to the chart live today, as I did back in the 90s, waiting to hear her chart position. So often not getting the chart positions I always felt her songs deserved. This song is probably her most popular song by the general public here in the UK, so I'm glad it's finally reached its long awaited peak position. Happy Christmas Lambs.

Walk of Fame (55,727) by Andrew from UK
Mariah looked stunning, a true talent and long overdue. That's one thing I'm sure everyone agrees on. This is a rare moment in time, and I'm glad Mariah has been recognised for her hard work and talent. All the lambs should be proud of our girl today. Congratulations Mimi.

Infinity (53,614) by Andrew from UK
Like some others have said, I too do not overly love this song. Is a shame, as it's the one and only new song to feature on the album. It feels as if the song was rushed. As for the video? Why has it taken so long? Any momentum this song could of had with all the live performances, would have been enhanced if the video had arrived sooner. I'm glad she's been out and about doing great promotion, this has been absent in recent years. I think, all in all, this era is going down much better with the general public. People are talking positively about her, the Vegas show and all her number ones remind people why she is so successful and the talent that we all know Mariah is. Long may it continue.

Jamaica performance (49,773) by Andrew from UK
I just watched the Jamaica performance (through gritted teeth). I'm always defending Mariah, and her legacy. But performances like this are difficult to defend. Like so many others have mentioned, mobile technology and YouTube/Twitter etc, mean everything goes global straight away. She needs to deliver credable performances, this was dire to say the least. Even Britney could do better than this. As a fan, I would rather see her do less performances, but make those ones count. Showing up and putting on an awful lip-sync show just to get a pay cheque isn't the way forward. She's clearly going through well publicised personal troubles, and maybe she should take time out of the limelight. As for the forthcoming Vegas shows, I really hope she isn't setting herself up for a major fall. It's all becoming painfully predictable.

Album flop (44,649) by Andrew from UK
I agree with the webmaster and several other comments on here. This album should have been ready and released at the same time as #Beautiful. The song was relatively popular, it even made Radio 1's play list here in the UK, which is unheard of for Mariah these days. The entire handling of this project has been a joke, and Mariah has been the punch line. The album needed a decent hit single with a strong video. Not the crap video we had to endure with YME. I think Mariah's rambling interviews and general odd behaviour is not helping the situation. As a long time lamb I'll always buy her music, I always have and always will. Fans are critical because they care, the media, on the other hand, do not.

TV special (44,411) by Andrew from UK
This tv special was a complete disappointment in my opinion. Like others have said, if your gonna lip sync you have to be good at it. And clearly, she ain't. She comes across so awkward on stage sometimes, which I find bizarre for someone who's been performing for such a longtime. The best performance was of WBT. Considering it's taken such a long time to get the album out to the fans, I had hoped for a couple of stellar performances, wishful thinking on my part. On a positive note, I'm sure the special helped boost the album sales.

Starpulse article (43,253) by Andrew from UK
Just read the Starpulse article, if I'm being honest, it's worryingly accurate. The album really does need a big single, like now. Otherwise, I feel the commercial success is at stake. We all know how critics will pan the lack of success with the previous releases off this album. I must say though, I love the album title, it's very MC. She seems to be having fun with the title. And I love the art work, who cares if their is a little airbrushing. Everyone does it, I'd airbrush myself if I could. Let's hope she pulls a hit single/decent video out the bag, and shows everyone that it's the return of the voice.

You're Mine, new album (41,822) by Andrew from UK
I just watched the BET performance, it was pretty dire, not at all world class, or what people expect from Mariah. Like others have said, she should have maybe taken vocal rest and performed the song stripped back fully live. As for the video for You're Mine, that's pretty dreadful too. She looks awkward constantly touching her face, doesn't come across well at all. Last night I watched some earlier videos on YouTube, her videos these days are just not on the same level. All the blame cannot be put onto IDJ or lack of money. I am, and always will be a huge fan, I just feel Mimi is a bit lost in music. I was hoping this was going to be a comeback era. "You're mine" just hasn't hit the right spot.

Hi James (Twiggy) (40,625) by Andrew from UK
Hi James, fellow UK lamb here. Don't worry, you're not alone. I know what you mean though, sometimes feels like she hasn't got many UK fans but we are here! This message board is a great place to meet fellow lambs. I've been a fan since 1996 when I was lucky enough to see her Daydream concert at Wembley, and I haven't looked back. Welcome to the wonderful world of MCA.

Judge the judges (37,384) by Andrew from UK
Having just read this article, I pretty much agree with its entirety. I can see why Mariah doesn't want to be too negative, however I believe the producers will want more for their money. Using of the cuff "Mariah-isms", such as "I can't even know what to say" really doesn't cut-it when she's being paid $18 million. I'm sure Niki is being paid much less, yet she appears to gives greater responses. I have a bad feeling about the way this is all going to go. In a similar way to her Virgin records deal, she may come out of this financially well, it just may not have been the best career move I feel. Ahh well, roll on May and the new album.
