When I speak of a resurgence of social media I mean [...] - like since [December]. I do agree with [Andrew] in several aspects of what he said, however I don't think we need a "whole new Mariah". I think we need the Mariah we all know and love. I think her over the topness is being toned down and I can hope she is truly returning to her old, playfully "extra" and "diva" yet still kind and respectable self. I 10000% agree she changed during the [Stella] era. I'm just saying she doesn't need to return to the rehearsed fake non threatening girl next door personality that she had (or was made to have) in the early 90s. I don't agree that "most of her fans" have left because of her personality. This message board mainly just represents her older demographic of fans. She has actually gained tons of younger fans recently, however you may not have known that. And I'm talking about since 2016 not when MIAM came out. Don't know where you got that. Almost everything Mariah's new team tweets goes viral, AIWFCIY was trending all [December], broke spotify record, countless memes and viral tweets about Mariah, etc. Her social media all across the board has gained a lot of followers and attention lately. I'm in a lamb group chat on twitter which consists of literally only teenage lambs who have primarily become fans over the last two years. Maybe for some of you her personality has isolated her "fans" but she has also actually gained quite a few. The thing I do agree with is the way exaggerated and almost bitter way that she acted most of 2016 and 2017 in interviews, but I believe that has mainly to do with her influences at the time. There haven't been many video interviews this year but she was articulate and not super extra at the [Golden Globes] which reminded me of her true self. Mariah is a very smart and articulate woman who can be a diva either as a joke sometimes or as a defense mechanism when she feels threatened. I for one do not mind the jokingly diva Mariah, however the latter is not as appealing. I think that since she seems to be truly happy now it will show and I think the best we can do is hope that this translates into every aspect in her life including her career. I have seen a shift in the general public's idea of her [...] since last year, maybe you haven't noticed but I and several others I know, even in real life have. that's all. Re: New album title (82,067) (82,118) by JD from United States Thanks b. I've been lurking on here for awhile and just had to say that. Obviously some of the way she's acted in 2016-2017 wasn't a representation of her because of her mental health. But I would never want her to sacrifice her amazing personality for mainstream success again. I think she's at a point in her career where she can have both. The problem was that people didn't get her shtick. They saw her as a total bitch and not the playful diva yet caring smart and respectful person that she is. If Mariah had no personality would we even be fans? It takes more than just golden pipes for me to love somebody as much as I love Mariah. I think the general public finally understands her, maybe NYE 2016 and all the downfalls and newfound success across social media has humanized her. Re: New album title (82,060) (82,063) by JD from United States Wow. I've been reading this forum for ages and never quite had the balls to say this, but I think a lot of people feel the same way. You're basically wanting her to act how she did from 1990-1996 which is not her and will never be her. She has a newfound resurgence in popularity across social media because of her personality and that's not something to stifle. If Mariah acted as boring as you and Tommy wanted her to be then I honestly wouldn't even be a fan. That's why Mariah is Mariah and not Celine Dion. If you want to stan somebody who does nothing but be safe and "likeable" in their career and dresses how you think is "age appropriate" then go be a fan of Celine. I imagine following her is like watching paint dry. The entirety of what makes Mariah so special to me is both her voice and her personality. If you think for a second her new management is going to beat every piece of personality and quirk out of her then you're crazy. Either go be a fan of somebody flavorless and bleak like Celine or watch miserable old videos of Mariah back when she fit into the mold you want her to be in. (Saturday 21 April 2018; 01:32)

Stella Bitchvodkanog (82,023) by JD from United States Almost everything stella has claimed is laughable. How can you file a lawsuit based on sexual harassment/breech of contract but then start talking about her not taking her bipolar meds? No wonder no lawyer would take her case. Everything about it screams Yolanda Saldivar style revenge. The only thing good about this situation is it seems that it's bringing a lot of people to Mariah's defense, and I hate to say it, but Mariah needs the sympathy. If you read the comments of theshaderoom's post about Stella's "lawsuit" I can't find one comment that isn't defending Mariah. Ha. I bet stella expected this to hurt Mariah's career, since almost everything else she's done has. Yet this in some [censored] up way may be the most helpful thing she's done for Mariah? Hell. She's even got Wendy defending Mariah several times throughout the past couple months. If you look at Mariah's public image this time last year vs now- it's a full 180. Call me crazy, but I think there is a chance for another successful era for Mariah. (Thursday 19 April 2018; 07:34)
