Re: What career achievement makes you most proud? (93,073) (93,100) by RhondaC from UK
I remember being on holiday in Sorrento with my parents, our hotel was about 30 minutes walk from town centre so every morning we'd set off, I'd put my headphones on and listen to E=MC2. Whenever I hear it now I still feel that summer vibe.

Nottingham concert (86,972) by RhondaC from UK
I went to concert last night in Nottingham - it's my first time at the Christmas show (couldn't afford it last year.) and I absolutely loved it. I would say about 90% of it was live, I think to the lambs it was obvious where she lipped - there was a subtle change in the "live sound" for example during the finale of O Holy Night, basically whenever it was a really challenging vocal section. I noticed on a few she lowered the key which worked well, though the first chorus of When Christmas Comes sounded a bit odd as she tried to do it in the airy whisper style we hear on Caution and it didn't fit with how the verse was sung.

Regardless of this, there is a reason I still absolutely adore Mariah after 28 years - she is a professional. I thought the show oozed class and quality, everyone was on top of their game and it ran seamlessly. The arena was pretty full, I was in the floor section and turned during Hero to see a sea of lights being waved behind me which was wonderful. The crowd probably got into Hero, WBT and AIWFC the most, not all seemed to know the stuff from MCII which is a shame as personally I think WCC and Christmas Time are classics. I won't get into the debate on Roc & Roe being up so late, but they genuinely seemed to enjoy being on stage, especially Roe who kept flossing and was mimicking mum again during The Star.

I would definitely go again. Though I would really like for Mariah to do a show we don't expect, a bit like George Michael's Symphonica, with a live band and new arrangements of her classics. Or something like George's MTV Unplugged, just on a stool singing. I hope we haven't passed the stage where that could still happen, I hope the glitz and glam is for the festivity and not to cover up flaws. To me, she's still the best.

Re: Mariah's top efforts (84,661) (84,686) by RhondaC from UK
It has to be "Lead the way" for me, flawless. And then "Anytime you need a friend" dance mix, love the power and slightly jazzy feel to her vocals, and that she put the effort in to the remix.

BT (84,499) by RhondaC from UK
I was thinking, if Bryan is the source material for the song and he's been "lovin (you) since that Bone Thugs song", then he fell in love with Mariah when he was 14.
