Favorite 90s singles cover (102,726) by Horacio from United States
I think Mariah excels when she looks classy. This is evident in the following single covers:

Dreamlover, Without You, Fantasy, Always Be My Baby, Honey, My All/Breakdown, We Belong Together, Fly Like A Bird

Biggest non #1 hit after 33 years (102,385) by Horacio from United States
I forgot to include Endless Love - that has been getting decent replays on Spotify.

I didn't include Can't Let Go because its Spotify numbers have been bleak, even thought it's one her most beautiful songs.

Biggest non #1 hit after 33 years (102,376) by Horacio from United States
Which MC single that did not reach #1 on Billboard Hot 100 has had the best longevity since its release? I think Spotify numbers in the last few years help determine modern reception and enjoyment in the general public. Contenders:
Without You
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Oh Holy Night
When You Believe
I Know What You Want
It's Like That
Shake It Off
Obsessed
#Beautiful

Big Energy remix - Spotify chart (100,048) by Horacio from United States
While I’m happy the song is doing well on iTunes, the some seems DOA on streaming it didn’t even debut on the top 200 over at Spotify yesterday.

Re: MTV Unplugged EP - 30th anniversary (99,979) (100,031) by Horacio from United States
I'll ask again since no one answered. Is MTV Unplugged the best selling live album by a female artist?

MTV Unplugged EP - 30th anniversary (99,979) by Horacio from United States
Certified at 4x RIAA and with 7 million copies worldwide, is this the best selling female live album of all time?

I know there are other high-profile live albums that have sold better, ie Garth Brooks Double Live with 14 million copies, but I can't find a definite list anywhere, but from what I can conclude looking at other high-selling female artists, Mariah Carey should have the record for Best Selling Live Album of All Time by a Female Artist with MTV Unplugged. Icon. Anyone have data to support this feat?

Mariah Carey 1990 debut in Spotify (99,504) by Horacio from United States
Does anyone have access to the streaming numbers for each individual song from the debut album? I wanna see how close we are to getting that 10x Platinum (Diamond) RIAA certification.

If Mariah Carey (1990) and Merry Christmas both become Diamond, Mariah would be the only female artist with 4 Diamond RIAA-certified albums.

Re: Recounting the first bought album experience (97,684) (97,691) by Horacio from United States
The first album I heard was Butterfly because it was part of my father’s massive CD collection; I was 13 years old. It was mid-1999. Second time I had heard of Mariah (I was an immigrant from a non-English speaking country).

My first CD that I purchased from MC was #1s. I was astonished that this woman had so many no. 1 hits. I was hooked. I purchased Rainbow in November 1999, and from then on worked my way backwards

Daydream > Music Box > MTV > Emotions > Mariah Carey. I can’t recall when exactly I purchased Merry Christmas, but I know for sure I already owned it by December 2000.

Merry Christmas top 5 on Billboard 200 (97,078) by Horacio from United States
In case no one had noticed, "Merry Christmas" was #5 on this week's Billboard 200. It spends its 99th week on the chart. Go Mariah.

Merry Christmas and AIWFC RIAA certifications (96,955) by Horacio from United States
Both Merry Christmas and "All I Want For Christmas" have been certified 8x Platinum in the US by the RIAA. In doing so, MC's first Christmas albums surpasses The Emancipation of Mimi to become Mariah's 4th highest certified album in the US. Merry Christmas' previous RIAA certification was 6x platinum. Current top 5 standings:

Daydream - 10x Platinum
Music Box - 10x Platinum
Mariah Carey - 9x Platinum
Merry Christmas - 8x Platinum
The Emancipation of Mimi - 6x Platinum

Oh Santa! fun Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson (96,665) by Horacio from United States
Billboard just confirmed that the Apple+ Christmas special will have a soundtrack that "is stuffed full of brand new interpretations", according to a statement, and will drop on the same day as an exclusive to Apple Music, then December 11 on other platforms.

Grande and Hudson will join forces with Carey on the lead single and music video for "Oh Santa!", which will drop December 4 across all streaming platforms.

The Rarities, Part 2 (96,155) by Horacio from United States

Anything Can Happen (rumored from Glitter era)

Alive (from Charmbracelet era)
Yours with Justin Timberlake
Fly Like a Bird (Kanye West remix)

Re: Billboard week of 12.28 (91,752) (91,759) by Horacio from United States
Andrew, it’s not about agreeing or not. Billboard stated that if the song is #1 for 3 weeks, that third week counts as the first #1 of 2020.

So again, for Billboard, if the song stays at #1 for 3 weeks, it will have been a #1 for both 2019 and 2020.

Re: Billboard week of 12.28 (91,732) (91,734) by Horacio from United States
According to Billboard, if she stays at #1 for 3 weeks (the last week being the charts dated January 4, 2020), then she will have the record of having a #1 every decade for 4 consecutive decades.

You say it seems it’s going to go #2 - what exactly are you basing this information on? Opinion, or do you have the link?

Heartbreaker - 20th anniversary (90,550) by Horacio from United States
For things like Instagram Stories and social media, when are we celebrating the 20th anniversary of Heartbreaker? August 16 (radio impact) or September 21 (single release)?
