Debut Mariah (99,062) by Tyler from United States For everyone who wants the old Mariah back. That ship has sailed. For a superstar of Mariah's caliber, she's about as normal and down to earth as you're ever going to get. Think of the others that were/are her true icon-level peers (Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Madonna). You don't soar to those heights and stay the same person. Add the upbringing to the super fame and you get what you have. Lambs are lucky she does as well as she does. I think she's perfect. (Tuesday 7 December 2021; 18:28)

Fun article (98,701) by Tyler from United States Not sure if anyone has posted about this before, but www.stereogum.com is doing a column called "The Number Ones". The author writes an in-depth article on every number one song of the Hot 100 era. He recently (finally) got to 1990 and Vision of Love and I really enjoyed reading it! Needless to say Mariah will be featured as he says, "so many more times". I look forward to the next 18 write-ups over the next few years as he gets through the 90's and 2000's and eventually to 2019. Check it out. (Monday 4 October 2021; 22:19)

Re: BBMA 2020 (95,723) by Tyler from United States The award has been given out since 2016. I assume it's for people who achieved something noteworthy on the charts during the eligibility period? Mariah had quite the achievement(s) this year with AIWFCIY. Longest climb to #1 ever. First artist with a #1 in 4 separate decades etc. Taylor is the first artist to debut at #1 with an album and single at the same time. Lil Nas X beat the record for longest time spent at #1. I assume Harry Styles and Luke Combs did something noteworthy this year too, but I'm not sure about them. It's definitely not made up for Mariah, but I hope she wins.
