The special (96,840) by Kyle Anthony from United States I was expecting to enjoy it as a fan, but got so much more out of this special. I forced a lot of friends and family to watch it with me at midnight, from our separate quarantine caves. Not only did they love the special, most of them had emotional responses to it. My mom bawled like a baby. Andrew's post was spot on, the quality was impeccable. Everything looked and sounded great. Also have to agree about Sleigh Ride: camp perfection. The new vocals and tweaked arrangements were shockingly good. Mariah's rested voice is honestly the best part of 2020. I've been listening on repeat out of enjoyment, not duty. Highlights for me: 1) Sleigh Ride 2) O Holy Night - I thought Mariah's original was perfect. The updated version is even better. 3) Oh Santa - We all knew that harmonic whistle was coming, and it didn't disappoint. Bliss. (Saturday 5 December 2020; 20:40)

Re: Heroes medley (96,777) (96,779) by Kyle Anthony from United States Lol Andrew. She takes the time to arrange a beautiful medley, and all you can say is why bother? Why bother making such an "unnecessary" post? Yes, she pre-recorded the vocals. They are still 2020 vocals. Being a vocalist and a perfectionist, why wouldn't she do that? There's no reason not to under 2020 circumstances. Honestly, I've been incredibly impressed by her production skills this year. Better than what has ended up on some of her album cuts, in my opinion. It is Mariah's month. Let her have it. Enjoy, and go back to critiquing her every breath on January first. I can't wait for the special tomorrow. The Sleigh Ride snippet on her Twitter page is new vocals, no? Mariah put a lot of work into this, it is looking like her best Christmas special by far. Not a huge Jennifer/Ariana fan, but that's such a step up from duetting with Pat. And smart. Mariah seems so clear-headed this year. It is something to celebrate, at this point in her career.
