I always imagine that she looked at him as a secure place, initially, and when she realized it was a Barbie doll on a shelf routine she said no ma’am. And bounced! I do like your interpretation, I think it fits.

I truly do not think she snubbed her. I think we would like Beyoncé to name drop MC, But I think it was meant to be a moment to pay homage to [Vogue] and black quare ballroom culture. MC simple does not fit into that theme.
