About Gerald from USA by the way of NYC: I'm been a fan of Mariah since the very beginning. I am a true believer in God, lastly I love hot women.

Ready for (43,224) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I am so ready for this new era/album. I just ordered my copy from Amazon and watching the big billboard reveal in Time Square spoke volumes to me as far as MC's place in pop culture and her love for what she does and for her ever so loyal fan base. I really feel we have something special on our hands in the coming weeks and beyond with this album and era and I am so glad to be apart of it. Yes I am thirsty lol. Peace and blessings Archives family.

The new album (43,131) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
It's all coming together and it was worth the wait. I can't wait until 5/27 to fall in love all over again.

I seem to notice (43,063) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I seem to notice some fans come to this message board to vent and complain about the same thing. As a fan from 1902 I can say I don't agree with all that MC does but she is human and she has to live with her choices. I am frustrated with the album politics but that doesn't mean I won't support MC because of it. That's how the music industry works, all artists go through this at some point. Ask any successful act and they will tell that this is how the music business works. By the way, happy 3rd birthday to Roc and Roe and happy 6th anniversary to Mr.and Mrs. Cannon. Enjoy your festive day.

Billboard interview (42,999) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
After reading the billboard interview I feel MC and her team had an initial plan in motion while the label obviously has another plan, which tells me there is trouble behind the scenes with Mariah and Def Jam, which further delayed this album. Hopefully we can get things back on track so we can finally get this album.

Hpod from the UK (42,953) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Actually magazine issues and shoots are done a couple of months in advance. According to Mariah herself the previous title The Art Of Letting Go has since been scrapped as for the new title its unknown to the public.

The R word (42,400) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
If this is what it has come I'm not mad Mariah at all because she now has a greater responsibility then making music and touring. The difficult road she had to conquer to have those two precious beings are worth more then any success musically, and to be honest she is already in the history books what more could she ask for so if this is that last movement I am going to treasure it as I have done all the others before it. I am forever proud to say I am loyal supporter of Mariah and I am grateful I had an opportunity to experience her talent for over two decades.

Kelly Price (42,155) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I watched that entire first season of R&B Divas LA and to be honest Kelly came off as a bitter and angry person who tried to bully the other cast members. As far as her issues with MC I believe it stems from the fact that Kelly was signed to Def Jam first and once Mariah signed to the label she became the first priority rather then Kelly herself. Just my observation.

Songwriting (41,599) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I have been checking out the message board lately and I see that some of you want Mariah to forfeit her songwriting and allow others to do it for her. Me personally I disagree this is another part to Mariah Carey the artist being able to express herself openly and freely on her own accord and honestly for me it makes her more relatable that she take her thoughts opinions and feelings and put them into songs.

The madness (41,312) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
I been reading a lot of the messages from the fans since the release of You're Mine (Eternal) and I see everyone's point whether it be good and or bad. But to MC's credit at least we have something to work with rather then playing the guessing game. I appreciate the new single and the video serves a purpose as well. We have to remember times in music business have changed since MC first came on the scene and many critics doubters gave her six months tops so for her to still be here now is certainly a blessing and we should enjoy it while we still have it.

Album sequencing (40,628) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
We are finally getting somewhere with this new era now that MC is sequencing the new album. Now I am ever so excited to hear the finished product.

Well said, I can't say it any better.

Happy New Year (40,339) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Just wishing the entire Archives family world wide a blessed, productive, and peaceful 2014. As for all bickering over Mariah and her mental health among other things, I will that nonsense in 2013 with all the other foolishness.

Mariah and Andy (40,282) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Now that interview was fun and lighthearted with a splash of shade that only Mariah can bring. I need more interviews like that in the future.

Beyonce / MC (40,215) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
What Beyond did is nothing new folks, many artists have released their albums straight to iTunes with no promotion. But the reason everyone is making this such a big deal is because who Beyonce is and her status among today's pop star elite. Now onto Mariah. I am all for her fun side, but I just wish she would put the champagne on the backburner for now so she can finish this album and give us fans who still believe in her talent some proper promotion and great performance we see she still capable of as she proved with the Jimmy Fallon surprise performance for the fans recently. As for the national tree lighting ceremony, I leave that with a no comment.

Impromptu Fallon performance (39,858) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Now that is something to talk about. Mariah has once again shown the world her brilliance as songwriter and even more so as a vocalist. I love it.

The art of letting go (39,714) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Bravo Mariah, you came through lady from the classic vocals you are known for to the thinking outside of the box as far as contemporary radio and going back to a soulful adult contemporary sound with simple production. Also the lyrics are so real and honest that anyone and everyone can feel and relate to them. You knocked it out of the park with this one. MC today makes me proud I am fan.

MC and Stevie (39,645) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
At first take I could not believe my eyes. I thought, no this can not be happening. And when I read other comments on social media, it sunk in. This is really going down. I was so pleased to see that MC has finally gotten into the studio with someone she has respected and admired forever. I have to say that so far this MC and JD management situation is looking very positive and I can not wait to see what this partnership has in store for us. But for right now, I am intrigued to hear what MC and Stevie Wonder cooked up in the studio. Bring it on.

The new single cover (39,581) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
The new single cover for The Art Of Letting Go is simple yet sexy without doing too much. I like the natural look meets the peaceful enviroment. I'm also feeling a little The Emancipation Of Mimi and Butterfly vibes with this new cover. Now all I want is the new single, my patience is getting the best of me.

The Art Of Letting Go snippet (39,555) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
All I have to say is bring it (the entire song that is). I am so ready.

The art of letting go (39,494) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
This is the first time in forever in a day that MC has released the album title track, so I believe she is connected to this album in a good way that she has not been in a very long time. I will not speculate on the song. I will wait until I hear the finished product, but I hope that there is a little bit of something for everyone to relate to including non fans, because in order for this era to pick up and be a success, everything must be in proper working order, from promotion, single choices, videos, and the most importantly her live performances have to be on point. But I have to admit I was not so sure about Jermaine Dupri being her manager, but so far he has proven his worth. But I believe JD consulted his father Michael who is a successful manager in the business.

Walter A interview (39,467) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Like some of you I got a chance to listen to the Walter A interview. I must say it was very informative and I can also see that Walter really regrets what happened between him and MC that made their patnership go sour. I must also give W.A. credit for acknowledging Mariah's musicianship among her peers. I can only hope that one day that both he and MC can put the past in the past and work on the 5 albums he knows they can create I would definitely support their reunion. Have a good day MCA family.

MC and Nas (39,338) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
Now I can't wait to hear this song. TGIFY remix has always been one of my favorite MC remixes. To be honest, I can't wait to hear this album. The suspense is killing me. A four year wait is the longest we have waited for a MC album and something tells me that the wait is well worth it. Bring it on home MC, we are impatiently waiting. Well at least I am.

The voice debate (39,296) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
At this point the voice topic is like beating a dead horse. We all know Mariah's voice is not the same from the Music Box era, but that doesn't take away from the fact she is still regarded as one of the greatest singers of all time. Do some of her more recent showings make me disappointed? Yes they do, but I know we all have missteps, but MC's happen to be public because of the career she has. I have faith that Mariah will deliver this upcoming era, because so many have doubts, including some of her trusted and loving fans.

Music Box (39,163) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
This album has a special meaning to me. I owned this album on cassette tape multiple times and CD as well. I would listen to MB everyday and even though I don't listen to it all the time as I use to, I still groove to this album whenever I feel the need. Happy anniversary Music Box, a classic that has stood the test of time.

Favorite album (39,064) by Gerald from USA by the way of NYC
As a fan forever, I would say the debut album is always and forever a classic. But for me Daydream is that album where all the elements are perfect. But I have to also give love to MB, BF, MC, and TEOM. As for least favorite I would say CB, while yes a very personal album with great writing and some nice moments, the vocals do not hold my attention. But overall MC has one of the strongest cataloges among her fellow divas.
