About Robby from Chicago USA: Im a mariah fan since day 1

BBMA 2020 (95,713) by Robby from Chicago USA
Mariah is nominated for Chart Achievement Award, along with Luke Combs, Lil Nas X, and Harry Styles. Not to demean these guys who are up against her but I am a little confused on the criteria used on this category. Can someone shed light on this, please? Thanks.

Re: Play count (95,622) (95,627) by Robby from Chicago USA
Bill, I am sure that you were just joking with the almost 58K play count as this is impossible from a math standpoint. That is equivalent to 120.56 days of playing it non-stop hahaha.

Out Here On My Own (95,624) by Robby from Chicago USA
I waited until it was 11:01PM here in Chicago last night just to hear the full song (my bed time is usually around 10PM). It was more than worth the wait. And then I cried after hearing it. That's all I can say as there is not much to say. Bravo MC. I will be forever a fan, come hell or high water.

Re: Vote for Mariah's ABMB iHeart performance (93,474) (93,476) by Robby from Chicago USA
If the link does not work on your browser, just go to billboard.com, they are the one conducting the poll. Currently, Mariah is 2nd behind BSB. Not that we need to validate Mariah's performance by voting because we already knew that her performance that night was more than what we all have expected. But if you are up for it, then please vote.

AIWFCIY, 19th #1 (91,411) by Robby from Chicago USA
I did my fair share of helping this song to finally reach #1 spot in BB100 this year. Bought 50 CDs (re-released album) for myself and for Christmas gifts to family and friends, stream (Spotify) the song at least for an hour on my way to work and another hour on my way home, watch the video every Saturday and Sunday, posted her SJTD concert in my social media accounts. So is there something else that I'm missing here? Oh well, if it doesn't get to #1 then there is nothing else I can do.

Grammy 2020 (91,410) by Robby from Chicago USA
What do we do expect? What could we possibly expect? I get it that it is nice to be recognized, much more winning it, as it is more of a validation of the quality of your work. But we all are aware how Grammy people have treated Mariah in the past and I don't think that will change at all, not in this lifetime. We should just accept it, and I believe Mariah did, and settle on the 5 wins that she had. Of course we all wanted her to win again but until then, we all just can hope and believe that somewhere in a parallel universe, she is like Beyonce or Adele.

BBMA (89,425) by Robby from Chicago USA
The last part of her speech that says, "To anyone who has ever told me that my music saved your life." Yes, I am one of those. Yes Mariah, your music saved me in anyway that I could be saved. So thank you so much. You have always been a part of my life and your music will always be my saving grace.

Re: Andrew (87,899) by Robby from Chicago USA
I thought the messages here would be a little less harsh towards Mariah when Andrew left but it feels like he didn't. Anyway, this is the world we live in now so it would be like take it or leave it. Oh well I will just look forward to seeing her in Chicago this March for the Caution tour.

Album sales (86,513) by Robby from Chicago USA
Of course I am a bit disappointed of the figures despite of her effort to reach out to different demographics but hey, what can we do? We can only support her as much as we could. I bought a physical CD, I constantly stream it on Spotify, and bought it as well from iTunes, posted it on my FB and encouraged my non-Mariah friends to check-out the album and that's about it. I dunno what else to do. I supported the album the best way and every possible way that I could. Anyway, while she doesn't have to sell as much as she used to because she has not nothing to prove anymore but at the end of the day, the label will still require some return of investment and not being able to get that on this album may jeopardize their support from here on. But anyway, let us just celebrate the album for its entirety and we should be proud that after all these years, she can still provide us music that will stand the test of time. Cheers.

Body of work (86,407) by Robby from Chicago USA
I have said this before and im saying this again, do not read his post at all, you never should. He is here to inflict negativity, much more, to ruin your day (and Mariah will say moment). I get that we have to stand up against bullies, yes he is a bully and anyone who doesn't know that is stupid, but his bullying shouldn't matter at all. Because it is whatever, lol. I wanted to say something derogatory but I know it won't be posted and Christmas is around the corner so yeah, let us just be festive. I just don't understand his negativity towards Mariah at all. But hey, let's just pray for him that soon he will get better hahaha. Meds please.

Anyway, I love the album, Caution is on my repeat. I love all the tracks except OMG and SLLY. Happy Thanksgiving everyone. God bless.

Re: Angry Andrew (84,860) (84,864) by Robby from Chicago USA
I could not agree with you more Taylor. I respect everyones' perspective, opinion, criticism, but if these are just so below the belt then you probably better just leave the person alone. I guess he posts messages here to annoy us and that's the reason why I don't read his (and some members) message at all. Wouldn't it be nice to promote positivity amidst the craziness that is happening around the world? This is a great platform for that so whoever (Mariah fan) is going through some tough times can be inspired in anyway that he/she can. I come here everyday to see/read update about Mariah but some messages are just too hard to bear. If you don't like Mariah's decision or her lip-syncing then might as well stop being her fan.

Responses to Andrew's post (72,557) by Robby from Chicago USA
I said this before and I am saying this again, if you keep reading and responding to his posts, you are just putting yourself in a very upsetting position. He is a provocative individual, that's what he does. We all know how he feels towards Mariah (pretending to be a lamb but is actually a wolf) but we can't keep him away nor ask the webmaster to block him because that's not the essence of freedom of expression. Let him say/posts anything he wants but if everyone ignores it, his pathetic ass will eventually get tired.

Mariah vs Celine vs Jennifer (62,593) by Robby from Chicago USA
I didn't find out, until last night, that the last year recipient of the BB icon award was Jennifer Lopez. And I was like, really? But I am not in the position to judge or question the choice made by BB, not sure if they did choose the winner or if it was a result of voting by the fans. Regardless, it just tells me that anybody can just win this award. No offense to Jennifer but doesn't the word "icon" stands for someone who revolutionalized or started something that is different or at par from what everybody does? I am certain that people at BB are not imbeciles, that they truly understand what an icon stands for but after this Jennifer thing, I am convinced that they purposely changed what this word stands for. Yes, Jennifer is a dancer, performer, actress, but what did she bring to the music industry that is different than what Madonna or Janet Jackson or Paula Abdul have brought to the table? Well, she might be an icon in some part of the universe but I just can't comprehend her being one here on earth (lol). Please don't get me wrong, I respect her as a person, as an entertainer, but as an icon, no freaking way. Now, about Celine, I don't have anything more to say.

Posts from Randy and Andrew (58,310) by Robby from Chicago USA
Here we go again. If you keep on reading or reacting to Randy's and Andrew's posts/comments, it will just fuel worthless discussions. And the worse thing to happen is, it will just ruin your day. Frankly speaking, they are not worthy of any attention at all. Let them post messages anytime, everytime they want. Pretend that their posts do not exist by not reading them. I feel bad for these kind of people who have so much negativity inside them, that they will always find something wrong with Mariah in almost every possible way. Such a shame. However, in the spirit of Christmas, let us spread love, love, love, even to them. But do not read their posts ever.

B from USA (57,670) by Robby from Chicago USA
Andrew is from the UK and so is Adele. No pun intended here but you and I know exactly what he is trying to come up with. Comparing Adele 25 to Mariah 45 is senseless and stupid. Adele 25 vs Mariah 25 (20 years ago) would not even be a discussion because we know that Mariah will kick her a** (sensored). I am just so pissed with these people trying to emphasize, in a large scale, Mariah's lip-synching as if this is a complete disrespect to someone. Last time I checked, this is a Mariah website and so if you don't have anything nice to say, please leave.

The new site looks great. Thanks for putting up a great work. Suggestion though, can you also add a "dislike" button please?

My take on the negativity of some people here who call themselves a Mariah fan (50,127) by Robby from Chicago USA
1. We are human beings more than a fan and therefore, we have the right to voice out our opinions, criticisms and appreciatios on anything or to anyone.
2. A fan is someone who listens to the music, buys the music, watches the shows/concerts of the artist that you identify yourself as a fan. And therefore, statement #1 applies to you. However, if you only criticize, expresses your opinion when the person makes mistakes, can you consider yourself a fan? I know a specific person who posts messages here only when Mariah stumbles or falls but when she rises back, he never say anything to appreciate Mariah. With that, I am more than convinced that he is not really a fan. He has too much negativity towards Mariah and I fell bad for him because he spends time to come to this website and post messages when in fact, he does not like Mariah. If I were you, I will do something more valuable with my time.
3. To us "real" fans of Mariah, let's continue to support her. Do not be bothered with the negativity around here. Read their messages but only pick up those constructive criticisms. Voice out your opinions but ponder on things that makes you a fan or hers.

Concert at Beacon Theatre (48,350) by Robby from Chicago USA
Hi all, is there like a "lambily" party or get together after the concert? I am going to watch the concert on Thursday. About that NBC performance, can we just forget about it and move on?

New album (44,244) by Robby from Chicago USA
I love Faded. Singing with it while driving. This song is so good. Regarding promotion, charts and all that, I think Mariah is no longer interested with that stuff anymore. She just wants to make music for her die hard fans who stayed with her since Day 1. She mentioned this several times on her recent interviews. Of course, it would be great if this album will sell a lot of copies and will produce 3 or 4 #1's to beat the Beatles, but you and I know that it's not gonna happen no matter how hard she tries. This is no longer her era anymore. 24 years in the business is unmatchable and today's music standard is far-fetched from what it was back then during her prime. Let's (die hard lambs) just support her in any way that we could and enjoy everything that she puts out there. I am fan since 1990 (I was 14) but the reality is, everyone gets old.

Michael Buble's special (40,254) by Robby from Chicago USA
Now, that's what you can call amazing performance. I wonder what those critics will say this time. I guess they will say it was a lip-sync. Great job Mariah.

4th Of July performance (38,586) by Robby from Chicago USA
4th Of July performance was spectacular. The lower register on "Hero" was amazing. I could not ask for more. Bravo.

Mariah's music today (38,422) by Robby from Chicago USA
I wonder if Mariah still cares about the charts and all that. Otherwise, she could have done an extra mile to promote the single and say, I will work my ass off to get this record to # 1. But I can sense that it's no longer her priority. While being popular and relevant is so important in the music business, I think for her, it is like, "been there, done that". I just want to enjoy her music and the joy and happiness it brought me since day 1. To me, as a fan, it does not matter if it becomes another # 1 or not. At the end of day, I just want to hear a music from her that can carry me through difficult times. But then again, there is a business that goes behind making a record and having to sell it for the purpose of making a lot of money, tons of money so the record company will be extremely happy.
