Mariah's new album and the industry (39,183) by Allan from pennsylvania When Mariah gave a date for her album to be released, I knew that it would change. I've seen this happen too many times before with the two previous albums Memoirs and E =MC2. So this was not a surprise to me. I see this album going in the same direction as the last album. Keep releasing singles in hope that it will be top ten, then release the album months later, but by that time anticipation has lost its steam. The music industry is forever changing. Mariah had her run in the 90s, so we can't expect her to be number one all the time. We are a different generation with a whole new crop of singers. (Monday 2 September 2013; 23:53)

Mariah and the Grammies (39,181) by Allan from pennsylvania Everytime I think of how many Grammy Awards Mariah has makes me angry. Mariah only has five Grammies, two that she won in 1991 for her debut album and three more fifteen years later for The Emancipation Of Mimi. At that Grammy ceremony, the Grammies she won were not televised. Mariah has been robbed of so many times of Grammies. Especially at 96 Gammies when she was nominated for six and walked away empty handed. Daydream has some of her best work, why this album was ignored I don't know. The same for the Emancipation, nominated eight times, only won three. It could only be one or two reasons. Is it bad timing or do the Grammies just ignore Mariah's work, what do you think? Classic Mariah (39,177) by Allan from pennsylvania There's no denying that Mariah first six albums from 90-96 were some of her best work. The writing was complex and the songs were great, there were not many features on her albums. It's funny to look at an album like Music Box and say to [...], this album only had ten songs on it, yet it was very successful. Mariah has said that she wanted more creative control which is good, but Tommy Motolla knew what worked in terms of success, because after 9 [...] she started a downward spiral. Mariah number 1 (39,097) by Allan from pennsylvania Who feels by now Mariah Carey should have more than 18 number one records? I feel that Butterfly should have had more hits, but Sony at the time did not give her the support she needed. As far as Rainbow, Mariah said herself that she did that album in three months because as she said "I wanted off this label." (Saturday 24 August 2013; 1:40)

Glitter: the soundtrack and movie (39,087) by Allan from pennsylvania I really believe that the media and press really bashed Mariah during this era. Glitter was not as bad as everyone made it out to be. I really had to sit back and play this album in its entirety and it's a good listen, her vocals are very much on point. If you listen to Glitter, you can clearly see her vocals are much better than if you compared it to Charmbraclet. [...] (Friday 23 August 2013; 8:13)

Mariah E=MC2 (39,049) by Allan from pennsylvania Randy, that was the frustrating part about the album, because it was an album that got off to a great start, then it just fell into oblivion. I liked the "Bye bye" song, but to be followed up by Touch My body, I dont kmow if that was a good idea. (Monday 19 August 2013; 4:12)

Album: E=MC2 (39,041) by Allan from pennsylvania In my opinion, I thought this was a good album, but I place the blame on Island Def Jam for not promoting the album. I felt like after Toch My Body hit numbet one Island Def Jam said, "we're not putting no promotion in thus album" in hopes that it would achieve the same status as TEOM. I never felt Touch My Body was worthy of being number one, especially when you look at all the good songs on that album. First of all, Migrate should have been the first single hands down, but no they decided that Bye Bye and LTLT were better choices. [...] with Jeezy to me was the best off the album, but none of these songs saw the light of day. I Stay In Love should have never been a single, it sounds too much like We Belong Together. My point is, what is Island Def Jam doing for her, because her album sales have been on the decline since 2008? (Sunday 18 August 2013; 7:12)

Mariah Carey is a legend (39,014) by Allan from pennsylvania I see so many comments in these messages saying what Mariah needs to do with her music. Mariah has been in this business for over twenty years, does anyone honestly think she worries about Katy Perry or Gaga releasing new materia? My point is, Mariah has nothing prove to anyone, her longevity speaks for itself. This woman has given us so much material over the years, yet we continue to criticize her for everything she does ie music, albums, videos, live shows, yet we are never satisfied. In terms of chart performances, Mariah is never going to see the glory years like she did back in the 90s, those days are over. I give Mariah props for being a married woman of two, yet she still continues to stay in the spotlight, so what if we have to wait a little for her next. Would you rather get a rushed album or wait for something that's going to be good? We don't see how even after she injured her arm she still gave performances and traveled even if it met dressing the arm up in a sling. To say all this, my point is, can't we appreciate the fact that she has given us so much and to be satisfied that she still producing music? How many of these current singers will be around in twenty years? (Friday 16 August 2013; 4:43)
