About Stacey from USA: Been a fan since 1993. Favorite albums include Daydream, TEOM, and Music Box. I love a good discussion, but won't stand for hateful comments because we disagree. Ok? I'm too old to deal with drama and so are you. Keep it real with me and we'll have some fun. Peace.

Re: Vocabulary (100,741) (100,743) by Stacey from USA
I'd let it go. You're too nice a guy to get pulled into such nonsense from a faceless person on the Internet. Just my opinion, though.

It's Like That (100,742) by Stacey from USA
Cause it's my night
No stress, no fights
I'm leavin' it all behind
No tears, no time to cry
Just makin' the most of life

You like this and you know it
Caution, it's so explosive
Them chickens is ash and I'm lotion
Baby, come and get it let me give you what you need
It's a special occasion
"Stacey's" emancipation
A cause for celebration
I ain't gonna let nobody's drama bother me

Re: Vocabulary (100,737) (100,739) by Stacey from USA
I've already moved on. I got told to practice what I preached. The irony in that is in each interaction I was the one who was always initially approached first, even when I was discussing something with a completely different person. But I digress. Maybe it is time to move on to a different topic like her songwriting.

Ouch. You got me. Where would you like your prize delivered?

Re: Vocabulary (100,728) (100,729) by Stacey from USA
What a cool tradition. It's such a great song. If I was absolutely forced to name my favorite ballad, I'd probably go with TTEOT. So powerful. So full of emotion. Happy Friday.

Tell me what you need
Let me give you all of me
Cause without you, nothing's real
You're the reason that I feel
Oh tell what you need
Let me everything
Every moment I'm alive
Until the end of time

Shivers.

Re: Vocabulary (100,724) (100,726) by Stacey from USA
Irony is Terna never said anything about MC's songwriting either. I'm confused how her songwriting got grouped in with her speaking vocabulary. Shrugs.

Time to pop in Till the End of Time and enjoy what I think is one of her best bridge to final chorus moments ever.

Re: Vocabulary (100,723) (100,725) by Stacey from USA
Terna started a topic about Mariah's speaking vocabulary, nothing about her songwriting. Nothing. It kinda then morphed into her needing assistance to walk and all that. It was lighthearted fun. You brought the drama to a funny moment between fans here.

No one here would ever dare mock MC's writing abilities because they are unmatched. She is in a league of her own. "Looking In" is my life's theme song. CTTA among so many lyrics she's written have helped me through some difficult moments. It's why I'm still a fan after nearly 30 years.

Honestly if some of us bother you so much, look up the word ignore and follow that definition. You'll be much happier. Carey on.

Checkmate. Bill wins. Never mess with her longtime fans. You'll always lose.

Re: Vocabulary (100,711) (100,713) by Stacey from USA
Every legend singer, I mean every legend, has at least one song that's just horrible. Crapfinity is Mariah's down in flames song.

Re: Vocabulary (100,707) (100,709) by Stacey from USA
No argument here. I've always admired and stood up to others the fact that MC writes her own songs. When she puts her name on a record, you know she was involved in every aspect of that particular project. She just didn't show up, sing the song, and leave. Terna started this topic and I don't believe he would ever question her songwriting vocabulary. I know I sure won't. Many of us are just lightheartedly talking about words she uses in her everyday talk that drive us crazy, lol. It ain't that deep. Carey on.

Re: Vocabulary (100,685) (100,696) by Stacey from USA
Agreed. But silly us, it's because she's anxious. Gosh, I suffer from anxiety and I walk on my own all day, everyday. Maybe I should share my secret for walking all by my awesome self with Mariah's people.

Oh dear, I'll probably get chastised for this but the whole "bleak, dahling it's bleak" drives me crazy.

Re: GOAT (100,626) (100,634) by Stacey from USA
Cool story. I had a huge MC collection. A couple of my items made it on webmaster's discography. But life got in the way and I sold my collection in 2007. But it was fun for awhile. I met some cool fellow collectors along the way. The one item I didn't part with was a signed copy of Daydream. Hello it's Daydream, my favorite MC album. Carey on.

Re: GOAT (100,631) (100,633) by Stacey from USA
It doesn't phase me if GOAT is a negative term or a positive one. I've been having fun with the whole topic the last few days. My philosophy in life is focusing on what's real right in front of me, not worrying about what a faceless person on the Internet thinks of me. But you are right, Mariah is a talent no one on earth can match. That we can agree on, a fact that has made me a fan for close to 30 years. Carey on.

Re: GOAT (100,629) (100,632) by Stacey from USA
You're welcome. I aim to please. I was quoting the webmaster who runs this place, just in case you were wondering. But, I digress. I'm glad you joined me in having some fun. I've been laughing this whole time.

Re: GOAT (100,621) (100,623) by Stacey from USA
Quoting Eric, "I hope you all know that GOAT means 'Greatest Of All Time'. So when you call the older fans goats, then you're right. We are Mariah's greatest fans. We are here from the beginning and we are not going away." GOAT was initially a criticism thrown at some of us and we turned it into a positive.

I've said this many times to folks who try to spar with me. I guess I need to say it again: I was here before you and I'll still be here long after you're gone.

Carey on.

Re: BET performance (100,620) (100,622) by Stacey from USA
First, I wasn't responding to you. Second, yes I did compare a speech to a performance. But you conveniently left out the fact I also included the Billboard Icon Award she received a year earlier, which if I'm not mistaken MC gave a speech as well.

Who cares if I criticize Mariah? Who cares if I praise her? Who cares what I say? Sheesh, lol. It's just an opinion.

Carey on.

Re: GOAT (100,616) (100,618) by Stacey from USA
I started online chat with the old MC pink boards during the Charmbracelet era. That's when I started collecting Mariah's CDs and discovered this website. I'm hitting 45 in the Fall. I'm definitely a GOAT.

Look, there are all kinds of fans here, all with different backgrounds, etc. The thing to remember is we all love Mariah's music. Just chill out if someone writes an opinion you disagree with. Your life will be much happier, I promise.

Re: BET performance (100,606) (100,607) by Stacey from USA
Yes I can. My kids love me and my trademark. I am a goat after all in their eyes. My husband would agree too. Haha. Nice try.

Look, there is a big difference between her BET moment, the Billboard speech, and the SHOF speech. I'm not saying she has to be a robot. We got enough of that during the Tommy years. But seriously to focus on lighting during a moment she's fought for decades to get recognition for baffles my mind. Moments like the BET performance remind everyone she truly is the goat. Leave the sunglasses at home.

Sincerely,
Lady Goat Stacey

Re: BET performance (100,595) (100,601) by Stacey from USA
I hope people can see the difference between last night/Billboard speech and the SHOF speech. I agree it was short, but most importantly she looked and sounded great. Those whistles were on fire. Get rid of the gimmicks and own the moment.

Re: What's on your MC rotation these days? (100,568) (100,572) by Stacey from USA
Agreed. That's what got me into collecting for a time and ultimately led me to your site. Those remixes are some of my favorite songs, more so than the original album version.
