Mariah on Colbert (101,768) by enwar00 from usa
I just watched it for a second time and I thought it was hilarious. Sometimes I'm glad she's just herself and puts her big eccentric dramatic personality on display. Personally I thought it was the perfect outlet for it, and their off the wall banter worked well.

Chart question (101,620) by enwar00 from usa
A song was only allowed to chart on the Hot 100 when it was released for sale as a physical single. So they would release that when the song was around its peak at radio airplay. Artists who sold a lot of singles and had heavy airplay would debut high. Yes, Butterfly could have been #1 or close to it had it been released as a physical single.

Concert in Saudi Arabia (101,525) by enwar00 from usa
Yikes. Sounds bad. Honestly I didn't even bother watching the Global Citizens performance either. A few awful clips like the one here and I heard her start talking about the hair and make up and I had no interest. To me the AIWFCIY performance in the freezing cold and the NYE performance even sounded better. Well, we'll always have the music.

Oh yes, I also think Glitter is superior to Rainbow.

Re: If Butterfly single was released (101,240) (101,254) by enwar00 from usa
In 1997 the Hot 100 was based off of airplay and sales. Butterfly reached #16 on the airplay chart. To compare, My All and Thank God I Found You both reached #15 in airplay, so very very similar, and both made it to #1 on the Hot 100 because of their strong sales. Because of that I think Butterfly had a good chance of reaching #1 if released commercially. Even if just for one week, like how Carrie Underwood interrupted We Belong Together at #1 (I'm still annoyed by that ).

Butterfly Tour (101,218) by enwar00 from usa
Would be/have been cool if they release(d) the Butterfly Tour from Hawaii for this 25 minute anniversary. That performance looks so good, and I feel like we got jipped with the Around The World DVD. They came through with the Daydream Tour for its 25th in 2020 during MC30, so why not continue that trend? Well, here's hoping for it tomorrow.

Maybe this is another reason she's been wearing lots of brown lately. Teasing us.

Babydoll remix (101,020) by enwar00 from usa
This is pretty cool. I hear some vocals and lyrics I haven't heard before since the background vocals aren't all there.

What's with these hilarious messages? Of course then they'll Carey her away while she's on the chaise lounge because her heels will be too high to walk on her own anyway. Because she cannot, dahling, she cannot.

Re: Remix (100,021) (100,024) by enwar00 from usa
There's a YouTube short that shows Latto mimimg to Mimi's whistle with her hand on her ear then Mariah gives her a big side eye, so maybe there is a music video coming soon.

Re: Lotto/Mariah (100,012) Melt Away (100,023) by enwar00 from usa
Funny that you say that Stacey because the upper and lower register harmonizing is something I've always loved about Melt Away during its second verse. One of the highlights of the Daydream album for me was hearing those two heavenly sounds at the same time. Such a calming song. Love the focus on the luscious lower register during the first verse too. Wow that voice was once in a lifetime wasn't it? Great production from Mariah. Daydream is a classic now. Glad to see Fantasy having a resurgence. Of course Breakdown is a classic too.

Not no casket in front of her. Holy moly that made me laugh. Followed by no presence of a diva requiring movement to the background.

Re: Blending eras (99,388) (99,392) by enwar00 from usa
Cool question. I may be the only one and it may sound crazy because one is one of my least favorite and the other is one of my favorites, but honestly I've always thought Charmbracelet and The Emancipation of Mimi were very similar. Of course not the vocals, because one is 15 songs full of whispers and the other was "the return of the voice". It's probably that they're both of the era, early to mid 2000s R&B/Hip hop style songs. It's almost like Charmbracelet was the blueprint for Mimi, which had better production, songs and vocals. Lullaby and Subtle Invitation have that old school R&B and neo-soul vibe she perfected for Mimi with live instruments, etc. It's like It's Like That was a better Boy, Shake It Off was a better The One, Fly Like A Bird was a better My Saving Grace.

LMFAO. I have heard nothing about this and am not even interested in looking it up. If she releases another album I'll listen. Another Christmas special? Probably not.

Caution Tour (98,675) by enwar00 from usa
This video I came across reminded me how I enjoyed the Caution Tour. Loved finally hearing some different songs live. Wish there was an official release on Blu-ray or streaming. Also nice to see her give some love to MIAMTEC, which I insist was underrated and deserved better.

My niece has said she wants Thank God I Found You as her wedding song. So that's the first one that came to mind.
