Stop blaming management (42,750) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
Hey everyone. Honestly, I think fans need to stop blaming management and blame Mariah herself. She is the one responsible for the set back not her manager (JD). She "in caps lock" was the one who choose to go the dated R&B path, like she always does. It's nothing new. I'm so desperately tired of Mariah putting out the same material over and over. Emancipation was a good R&B throw back, it worked, returned her to the scene. Okay thats nice, now move on already Mariah. Rather than reinvent stuff how about trying a little think to starting fresh. "You're Mine" was just awful. Very dated sound and basic boring repetitive lyrics. The video itself was just as basic and boring as the song. She needs honestly, as crazy as it sounds, to have management that is going to control what she releases. With Mariah in control her career is undoubtedly going to dissipate. The problem is her friends are too afraid to tell her no when it comes to music material. I completely lost all excitement for this era. It hasn't even officially started and it's already 6 ft under. I'm not a goat, just an honest die hard fan that's disappointed.

Mariah not interested in topping the charts? (42,502) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
Ben had posted that. My response, all lies. Please, and I know Mariah has stated that but like I said, all lies. She is constantly bragging and reiterating her titanium belt of number one singles. Her little promo video she released prior to the mediocre and basic tune, "You're Mine" only solidified her as the very impressively competitive diva. It's quite evident that Carey is shooting for that 20 #1's crown which would accent her 18's Gold Medal. But one question for Ms Carey, how do you expect to so with blatantly dated material. I'm sure we'll all want Carey to triumph on global success once again. My advise, start everything fresh. Fresh material and fresh management as well as producers. We all know it's the impossible, as Carey's ego triumphs everything else.

New album era worries (42,256) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
I'm so worried that this album is going to be worse than the Memoirs era. Notice I said worse. Memoirs wasn't a bad album at all. The era though was horrible. Her image/ensemble was sloppy. She did very little live promotion, and management completely over looked her with very little promo. That album had some much potential. The title was a big no, too long and unnecessary. "Imperfect" or "Memoirs" itself would of sufficed. Remember, one worded titles are in again and generally sell more. The cover was incredibly boring and didn't really look like an album cover. At that, the middle image would have been enough. She needs to put more work in the presentation of her album covers. Some graphics and color are desperately needed. What gets me is Mariah is no new comer to the scene. She should know how to market and sell an item by now. Why she doesn't do so, I have no idea. Good move though and changing the title of TAOLG. I'm sorry but that flow of words is just nonsense and way too cheesy. So far singles have not been good with the exception of TAOLG. I'm worried. The material doesn't seem like it's going to be good. You're Mine was so basic and uniform, no differentiation what so ever with the song, just kept you waiting for a climax or something about the song to grab on to. She seems careless again like with Memoirs.

New era worries (41,921) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
IDK lambs I feel like I'm going to be let down like I was with the post EOM era. Sloppy image, careless interviews, zero promotion, basic boring songs, and album release delays. I feel bad for saying it, but it is the truth. I wish there was a way us lambs can communicate with Mariah and tell her to step up her game already, we've had enough.

New album (41,693) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
Sadly, it's very unfortunate that Mariah's music is doing the way it is. Don't get me wrong lambs, but I feel this is going to be Glitter all over again down to the T. A whole lot of hype and excitement, then the ultimate flop. I wish she would throw out an EDM record to shut the critics up, get her 19th number one, and appeal to the non fans. Then the rest of the album she can do whatever she wants. EDM isn't all that bad. Ms Carey has a voice, unlike most EDM artists. She will definitely stand out.

Hey lambs. I don't know guys, I'm a bit worried about this era. Mariah has been very careless and sloppy. Her cancellations are a key indicator that this in another Memoirs path. Not to mention her image and physique has been an absolute hot mess. The last good commercial album. She need that formula. Not neccessarily the same direction of music, but the same effort. With the Emancipation, the lyrics were great, the songs were great, the videos were great, her voice was great, her image was great. Mariah needs to try. She needs to understand that it's not like before, when anything she put out went #1. This time around she actually has to be crafty and try.

Memoirs (39,643) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
I agree with this article and I don't at the same time. Overall , I think the album was great for the fans, it was awful however for commercial purposes. It could have been a save if it was given the proper promotion, better commercial single release choices, and actual effort on Mariah Carey's behalf herself. Mariah's grown lazy with promotion in recent years. As for Obsessed being a poor choice for the lead singe, I have to completely disagree. Hello, it was the highest charting single. That itself says something. It could have very well been her 19th #1 but once again Mariah did very very little promotion. And aside form the AGT performance, the other few were very "sloppy". The rest of the single choices were awful. Yes! Standing O should have been released as a single. Mariah and her team should have know better than to release a chain of basic ballads during a time of uptempo frenzy. Standing O would've been perfect, it was up tempo yet very Mariah. BGK should have been another one. Inseperable or Ribbon should have been the next. Then she should of closed the album with a ballad, preferably HATEU or a reproduced Angels Cry.

The Art Of Letting Go (39,557) by MissunderstoodAngel from United states
Have you lambs heard Mariah's description of The Art Of Letting Go? I honestly don't feel like she's taking this seriously. I couldn't help but feel she was drunk during the interviews. She couldn't even explain the song's title. "The art of letting go, I was thinking to myself, you know there is kinda an art to letting go." Really Mimi? It's not fair to us.
