About JBfly from USA: Lamb 4 Life

Daydream327 (41,602) by JBfly from USA
I somewhat agree with you. To be honest I like YM. Though the lyrics are simple is probably why some find it boring. But I think what hurts the music is the video. The video has some good scenes but it gets boring staring at her holding on to her jewels throughout the whole video. Also I think she needs to branch out out of her comfort zone. She needs to work with different writers and kinda give up on rappers for a change. She doesn't necessarily have to have someone else write a song for her. She can be a co-writer. I don't think Mariah has lost her creative side when it comes to music. I just think that she's stuck with working with the same people and with that you somewhat get the same result hence you get the comparison of WBT and YM. Almost Home and AOLG are 2 different songs and I happen to like both. The girl can still sing and she needs to continue singing. Maybe the reason some don't like YM is because it's not midtempo or up beat. Which some of us are used to. Not expecting YM to hit number 1 but will be happy if it reaches top 20. With current trend going on now. I won't be surprised if Katy Perry or Rihanna end up racking in more number ones than Mariah. Records are meant to be broken but the quality of their music is no where near Mariah. Also we have to count on radios support. If they don't play YM then it won't take off even if we all lambs call and support it. I guess we all just have to wait what Mariah got for us in this coming album.

My 2 cents on everything (41,507) by JBfly from USA
First off it's been a long time since I posted on here but I frequently visit this site everyday. Nice to see new faces and of course the older ones too (no pun intended to the "old" fans like myself). Loving the song. Video could've been better in the same league of My All and Butterfly but it still watchable. As for interviews. I believe Mariah knows when to be serious and when to be a diva. Just look at Oprah, Barbara Walters or Larry King interviews versus MTV, Leno, Letterman, Fallon, Kimmel, and radio stations interview. I think it's all about the setting of the interview. And I've come to accept most of Mariahs antics (not all). Do I wish that she could be more serious when it comes to interviews? Yes. But as a human being I think she's allowed to loosen up once in awhile. I can't. Wait for the new album and hope the general public will embrace it. For the time being. We need to continue buying (if you haven't already done it), request on radios and stream both video versions and both audio versions on YouTube because they all count as airplays. Keep it up lambily.

Idol finale performance (37,833) by JBfly from USA
Ok what I would really like to see/hear is for Mariah to open her medley performance with the intro from UOMF. That would be totally epic. What do you think? "It's not chipped, we're not cracked, oh we're shattered."

Re: Nikki (37,832) by JBfly from USA
I totally forgot about who directed ABMB and Fantsy. Thank you for refreshing my memory. Ok I will be honest. The more I watch the video, the more I'm liking it. Btw, the story you shared was special and definitely beautiful.

#Beautiful video (37,799) by JBfly from USA
Come on Mariah. I've seen you do this kind of video so many times and it's becoming predictable. Sometimes I think a video can hurt a beautiful song if it's too generic and superficial. I love that you are still have a smoking body at your age, but baby you don't need to flaunt it too much in all of your videos. Who directed WBT, ABMB, Dreamlover? Asked them to direct a video for you again. I want this song to succeed and potentially become your 19th #1, but with videos like this it's hurting its chances. Apology for being too critical my fellow lambs.

Flop and future (37,425) by JBfly from USA
You all need to relax and breathe. You all know that Mariah has been in the music business for almost 25 years now, right? And you all know that there's always going to be new up and coming new artist, right? You all know that the public taste in music changes, right? You all know that records and sales are meant to be broken some day, right? As a fan since the beginning, I want her to get as much number one songs and sell the most albums, but I've come to terms that it'll be harder for her now to achieve all of this as you grow older in the music industry. I do believe that Mariah can still hit the top in the right moment and right time just like she did with TEOM. Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Adele and Lady Gaga (though I think she reached her peak too soon) are the "it" female artist right now. I want to see if any of them will still be around 25 years from now (with maybe the exception of Adele) and be somewhat still relevant in the music world. I'm just thankful that Mariah is still around and give us fans music to listen, sing, dance and enjoy whether it be number one or number 1000 on the charts.

Almost Home promo (37,348) by JBfly from USA
Ok, so I just watch Oz the Great and Powerful. It's different. I know it's a prequal to The Wizard of Oz. I recommend it to everyone. Now for the song. I was kinda disappointed that the song didn't play until close to the end of the credit. I was expecting it to play the minute the credits rolled. Since the song was played close to the end, not a lot of people got to hear the song thus rendering it to be exposed more to the public. And did anyone else notice that the song had different version than what they released? The beginning part didn't have "hey, hey, hey, you're almost home". I would like to hear the full soundtrack version. As for it being promoted at Idol. I think the only promotion it got was Thursday's top 10 reveal. They played a portion of the song and Ryan Seacrest mentioned that that's Mariah's new song from the Oz movie. I was hoping she would've performed it instead of it just being played. All in all I still love the song. It's on constant repeat in my car and my iPod when I'm at work. I'm hoping it'll get more promotion and attention.

AI (37,148) by JBfly from USA
Are we all watching the same show? As far as I'm concerned, I don't see any difference with Mariah and Nikki's critique or evaluation on most contestant. The only difference I notice is that Nikki is trying to hog the attention all to herself. Most of the time when Mariah is giving constructed criticism, the show always has to go to Nikki and see her rolling her eyes (not that Mariah hasn't done it but Nikki has done it the most). And I totally agree with Lee from the USA. When Mariah gets aggressive, she becomes a diva beotch, and when she becomes passive, she comes out as boring. And as for the fight. We all know that they edited the whole thing. They didn't show what transpired after Nikki left the panel. And for Nikki to single out Mariah and Randy was plain stupid on her part. How come she didn't get pissed off at Keith when he was the one ticked off at what the girl said? I'm sure something else happened that made crazy Nikki to blow up from the leaked video they released awhile back. I really do think that Nikki is just jealous of Mariah. Nikki might be owning the show according to some, but Mariah is getting most of the praises from most contestants who come to audition. Let's all wait for the live shows and see what happens. For now, let's all "spread our wings" and enjoy the show.

AIWFCIY (36,987) by JBfly from USA
AIWFCIY climbed 4 spots to 25 on the latest Billboard Hot 100 charts. I believe the song can reached the top 20 by end of the Christmas season. Though I want this song to be her 19th, I think it's to far fetched for a song this old (classic) to reach the top. You have to factor in the airplay, streaming and sales. The song is doing good on all 3 categories but not good enough. I believe the song has to sell 200k+ to even make it to top 3. What this song will eventually do is chart every year and that would ultimately give Mariah another record in the music history. And speaking of records, did you all know that Mariah leads the pack in terms of number 1 song that spent on top for 2 or more weeks? Mariah's first 12 number 1's all spent 2 or more weeks at the top. Closest artist is Usher with 9 I believe. It's so good to be Mariah right now. Merry Christmas to all my fellow lambs and fellow fans.

On a lighter note (36,774) by JBfly from USA
Have you all noticed that AIWFCIY is no. 1 on the holiday singles chart already? Man that song is truly a classic already. She has 6 songs on the top 200. AIWFCIY, Christmas (Baby please come home), O Holy Night, AIWFCIY Xtra festive, Santa Claus is Coming to Town and Oh Santa. Rankings are subject to change. Not only that but the covers by artist like Lady Antebellum, Michael Buble, Justin Beiber are all in there too. Mimi sure is a cash cow (no pun intended) around this time of the year. Peace.

The One (36,593) by JBfly from USA
I totally agree with some of you guys and gals on this song. When I found out that The One was going to be the next single, I immediately called my local radio stations and requested the song, but luck wasn't on my side. Instead we got Boy. Though I liked Boy, it was no near the quality that The One had. This song will remain one of my favorite from Mariah's catalog. I wish that she'll make another song similar to this one. Peace.

Re: Nikki (36,415) by JBfly from USA
I just wanted to comment on your post. I agree with some of what you said. Even I couldn't understand what Nicki was saying, even if I play and watch it 100x. But I have to correct you on one thing though. Mariah wasn't the one who introduced Nicki to the mass. She was featured on a song called "Bedrock" by Young Money along with Lil' Wayne which reached no. 2 on Hot 100 way before OFMF was filmed. Though Nicki looked crazy on the video, there has to be some sort of reason for it. We only got to see her bust out curse words after curse words and didn't see the beginning of it. Maybe Mariah said something smart or maybe not, we will never know this. Also whether this was staged or not, it sure got some attention from the media.

I agree with ya. Always been curious what all my fellow lambs look like. Hope everyone would post their own pic and not Mariah's. Good job Mr. Webmaster for adding the avatars.
