About Andrew from Australia: I am based in Melbourne have been a Mariah fan for a long time.

Article: Mariah works out wearing fishnets and stiletto heels (72,105) by Andrew from Australia
I concur with most of the die-hard fans here. I am really sad, especially for her legacy. People especially the younger generations will not think of her earlier masterpieces but what she has become in recent years.

Article: New video is glam, glittery and a huge middle finger (72,104) by Andrew from Australia
Is this music video about a woman going through heartbreak? Or a photo shoot with lingerie? This video reminds me of Beautiful - in fact, most of her recent videos are very similar - the hair tossing and the posing in risque positions. She sings about being treated bad and also categorically stating that she's not coming back. Hang on a minute - he dumped her and I don't think he wants her back, not when her manager is still around. So she burnt the wedding dress... how about the engagement ring? Was she treated badly? I guess we will never know but some of the clips in her docu series would have given some hints (eg the manager and the dancer).

Article: Mel B wonders if Mariah "doesn't have that voice" (71,183) by Andrew from Australia
Mel B did mention something valid though. MC planned to lip sync the high notes of Emotions - it was on the playback while she was talking on stage. It makes you wonder how many times she had done this with the high notes in the past. Did her fiercely loyal manager explain why this was the case?

Article: Mariah Carey team: Here's what really happened (70,723) by Andrew from Australia
If Mariah couldn't hear the music on stage, can someone please explain how the dancers could dance so seamlessly?

Totally agree with Dembabies by TR from USA (44,891) by Andrew from Australia
I totally agree with what TR commented about the babies, in particular MC always describing her daughter as a bigger diva. She seems like a proud mom saying that about her daughter. I am not here to teach MC how to raise her kids but does anybody feel uncomfortable with that? And lately, especially in the last few years, MC seems to perpetuate this diva persona and seems to believe that it is a positive image. What does everybody think?

A reliable Mariah lyrics site (44,826) by Andrew from Australia
Can anybody recommend a really good and reliable lyrics site for Mariah's new album? I've scrolled through a few and not all the lyrics are complete. I am particularly interested in the Wale rap verses in YDKWTD, which is my most favorite song. And I may be the only one here but MILG is my least favorite song. And does anybody feel that Mariah has a habit of laughing in a lot of her songs.

clueey23, we'll agree to disagree (41,517) by Andrew from Australia
Point taken, I guess we will have to agree to disagree. But if you are out there promoting yourself, your music, your album, it is akin to a job interview. It's all about convincing people to invest in your work. Anyway, best wishes to MC and may she be happy if this is what she wants to show the public.

A reply to clueey23 (41,487) by Andrew from Australia
Did you just say once you stop taking what MC does or say seriously, you will enjoy her again? With all due respect, I don't think that is how you are going to get people to listen or buy your music. I don't think this is how you earn the respect of your peers. Proudly informing the public that you had your lighting director work the room is not down to earth. Please tell me rambling is not a form of communication style that is acceptable in the real world. Would you ramble in a job interview?

Just an opinion from a fan (41,469) by Andrew from Australia
MC is a legend and nobody is going to take that away from her but I was squirming with embarrassment watching the Breakfast Club interview. MC has been in the business for decades and I think the world fully understands who she is as a person. I don't think it is necessary to try to be "eternally youthful" and be funny whenever you are in public. I watch some interviews from other artists like Rihanna and even Miley Cyrus (in response to her twerking saga). These girls actually sat down and gave a proper interview, without throwing words such as "darling", "diva", "honey". It is true that she is "the Mariah Carey" and she has nothing to prove to anybody but there's nothing wrong trying to be serious without the champagne, sunglasses, chocolates, etc.
