About Holly from UK: Dedicated Mariah fan since 1995 <3

#11 UK / Amazon UK (44,111) by Holly from UK
I've just been checking up on the chart positions and MIAM is currently outside the Top 10 in the UK at #11, however it is only release day and I'm sure it will climb. Amazon UK now have a 7-11 day wait on the UK deluxe edition. This is great news as it shows it's selling.

Me. I Am Mariah (44,093) by Holly from UK
Well, well, well, Queen Mariah delivers another knock out album. This is far better than MOAIA, I feel the whole album is very diverse and I'm simply loving the fact that it's very old school. I can hear vintage Mariah in so many of the songs. After a few listens stand out tracks for me are Cry, Faded, Dedicated, Thirsty, You Don't Know What To Do, Camouflage and One More Try. The surprise of the album for me though is Meterorite. To me it sounds like a remix. It reminds me very much of the Fantasy club mixes. It's good though and I think it's a grower. The only thing I don't like is The Art Of Letting Go being a bonus track. It's one of Mariah's best ever songs IMO. Also, the deluxe is a bit of a let down, recycling songs from MOAIA, especially when Mariah apparently wrote tons of songs for the album and could have given the fans a proper bonus like the deluxe release of TEOM.

Confirmed song titles? (42,592) by Holly from UK
I know it's hard to know what to believe online but has anyone else heard that the below songs have been confirmed for Mariah's new album by her team? "Make It Look Good", "Thirsty", "Dedication", "You Don't Know What" and "Kick Rocks". Just something I've seen on a fan Facebook page.

New album / the "R" word (42,394) by Holly from UK
I don't think the new album will be delayed because as many have already pointed out it has been pushed back so many times already. I do think it is strange that we haven't heard more about it by now - title, artwork, track list etc. To be honest I've been of the opinion that Mariah is perhaps winding down now for some time. I don't think it would be something she could ever give up for good but I do wonder if she will sign another long contract or not. I totally get that she is a mother and that is her most important role now and that perhaps she wants to focus more on family life. Don't get me wrong, I would be devastated if Mariah retired but not all too surprised anymore.

You're Mine on UK TV (42,325) by Holly from UK
Wow, I was flipping through the UK music channels an hour ago and Flava (yes this is how it's spelt, lol) were playing "You're Mine (Eternal)" remix video on their Sickest Beatz programme. This is the first time I've seen it on TV and a great sign.

Mermaid In Disguise (42,271) by Holly from UK
Surely not? This sounds like another "Rainbow was going to be called Lollipop" moment to me, but hey, as long as the album gets released I don't care what Mariah calls it.

Same old (42,129) by Holly from UK
I wasn't going to post on here again but I just gotta say, this always happens prior to the release of a new Mariah album. Certain "so called" fans decide to bash Mariah even though we've only heard three tracks and don't even have an official track listing yet. The criticism starts countless arguments between lambs but the minute that album drops on May 6th they'll all start gushing about how amazing it is and how proud they are blah, blah, blah. There is a word for some of you: fickle. If Mariah isn't doing it for you anymore then run away to Beyoncé Land, or Rihanna Town. Nobody is making you stay. But quit spreading your pointless negativity for the rest of us. For the record, I'm loving Mariah's new material and I'm super excited about the album
