Vision of Love at Jimmy Kimmel (72,769) by Edward from USA Another step in the right direction, Mariah. We all want her to go there with her voice, but it's better when she plays it safe but live than phenomenal but partially lipped, especially on occasions in which she only has to perform a couple of songs. I was laughing at a comment on YouTube that states "Wait a minute, she still can sing, I'm in shock." That obviously comes from a casual listener who had the opinion that she couldn't sing anymore. The fact that comment was made could be an indication that when she delivers a good performance, people might give her a chance again. (Friday 17 February 2017; 1:06)

When it comes to performing, I care about what she's always been known for, her voice. Let's give the woman a break and focus on the fact that she delivered vocally. Yes, the song is not that demanding, but isn't that we we've been asking for, a song that she could replicate live? We all know she can definitely do better, but let's not be too harsh on her when she might be trying to get things right. There's a difference between being delusional (thinking that she messes up on occasional performances due to polyps and nodules), and being realistic given recent events. At this point, I'd rather she crafts a great song lyrically and delivers it with conviction rather than having a song so demanding vocally that she would have to rely heavily on background tracks and singers. We would be delusional to say Mariah's voice is in top form, but we all know she could be consistent should she take care of her voice and write great lyrics. At this point it is not how powerful her voice is, but about whether she makes good of use of what she has left, and she did that with "I Don't" at Jimmy Kimmel Live. "I Don't" live (72,755) by Edward from USA When Mariah delivers, it should be noted and appreciated. She seems to be she needed to fall hard in other for change to start taking place. I just she continues building up from there to what we know she's capable of. The vocals were too clear and true to the studio version, that I thought for a moment she was lipping, but she wasn't. Mariah happened to be going against an excellent album. I love Daydream, but Jagged Little Pill was as great. Alanis didn't snatch those Grammys from Mariah, the people who didn't vote for her did. Beyoncé (72,612) by Edward from USA Beyoncé's performance was phenomenal. Those visuals, wow. She didn't have to move around much, those visuals were great. Beyoncé, not as talented vocally as Mariah, but world away from her in many other areas. I definitely think Mishka, Stella, and Mariah should be taking notes. (Monday 13 February 2017; 19:27)

Adele, just wow (72,607) by Edward from USA I just saw Adele's acceptance speech and how she didn't let pride get in the way of praising Beyoncé. This woman is like the biggest star right now, yet she's so effing humble, it's beyond me. I haven't listened the Lemonade album, but I'm going to buy it, those words, coming from such a humble and graceful person, were enough for me to give it a try. Mariah, we miss you, stop with the act and bring back that person we all know still lies in you. That beautiful, thoughtful, humble, caring person couldn't have faded away just like that. Mariah took Stella's wonderful advice and went with her "they sabotaged me" version of the events, knowing very well that it would have future consequences. When she got a spot for the national anthem, she didn't have the diva reputation she has now. She was working to rebuild her career with humbleness. Mariah didn't have to complain directly to anybody, she used her music for that, it was the beauty of it. So, don't be surprised if we don't see Mariah on these big events as much as we would like to. (Monday 13 February 2017; 14:42)

Re: New radio call in (72,547) (72,556) by Edward from USA I don't think any woman should be subjected to being harassed just because she dresses a certain way, but Mariah isn't just any woman, she's a woman in the music business, and she very well knows that everything she does would be magnified and scrutinized. When Mariah showed the power of her voice and her song-writing skills, people talked about that. People will talk about what she shows them, including over-exposed boobs, and diva antics. Now, when she keeps giving boobs galore, she shouldn't be surprised when a comment is made about them, as Bill said, nobody would say that shit to Celine or even Janet, heads would roll. The problem here is that there's no balance in Mariah's World anymore. If she were giving great music with decent videos, things would balance themselves out. Mariah nowadays is known for her diva antics and her boobs exposure. Add to that her clearly fake reality show and you have a huge Joke in the making. Back when Mariah was a force to be reckoned with, some DJ's were fired for making derogatory comments about her and the fans that would call requesting her music. Such thing wouldn't happen anymore. Everybody from Michael, Whitney, Toni and George Michael were heavily talked about, but they were stars and they knew there was a price to pay for fame. It's frightening to see Mariah in some of those pictures, not because of her looks alone, but because there's something in face that shows a woman that is unstable. She can control what we see and how perceive her. When she has a 12-year old taking pics of you almost naked and as high as a kite or drunk as a skunk, what does she think people would talk about? It's not like people are sneaking into into her bathroom secretly snatching pictures of her boobs and ass. If you want to be private and enjoy your life like any other mortal, do not pursue being a celebrity. Just like there's an industry where celebrities made lots of money based on their celebrity status, there's an industry that makes lots of money talking about them (how they dress, how they act, what they say, who they hang out with, the comments they make). Unless Mariah cleans house and allow professionals do their job at managing her career, she would still be on her path to becoming a joke and tarnishing her legacy. Given the fact that she's not spring chicken anymore, and considering how the music industry is when it comes to ageing artists, If she keeps with mediocre music and the "look how I touch my boobs" videos, she'll be looking more desperate in 5 years. They do, but "I Don't" (72,473) by Edward from USA If people were really interested on "I Dont" or talking about her music, it would be reflected on "iTunes" and "Amazon", but it's far gone from their top 100 lists. Watching a video doesn't mean anything if it doesn't move viewers to actually purchase the song in question. Considering "Honey" and "Heartbreaker" as videos that show sexy within context, one can clearly see that lying down touching herself and giving the middle finger won't just cut it. Mariah has definitely cheapened her brand with most of the decisions she's made lately. As much as I dislike Contourella, I hold Mariah responsible for she is the one with experience in the music business, yet she keeps going along with the craziness. If they both feel womanly empowered to keep acting the way they do, they should take the heat with a happy face. There's nothing like equal opportunities for all. (Friday 10 February 2017; 18:02)

Nick loves his kids and is doing everything to co-parent and be a good father, but it's evident he's moved on from the circus and I don't blame him. She'll be showing skin, boobs and ass. It will be perfectly fine. She'll be wearing all the dresses Mariah wore on "I Don't". I'm pretty sure youll be the first one to tune in. If it's Ok for a 47 year old to act and dress like a 21 year old because she's a woman, it should be Ok for our Grannies to show their bodies too. Aren't we all for women empowerment? Morgan Lip-Carey (72,383) by Edward from USA I've always thought the truth lies somewhere in the middle when it comes to Mariah in relation to Tommy, Eminem, and Morgan. I'm glad Morgan expressed his opinion about Mariah being worth more dead than alive, he might've actually saved her, and no, I don't believe in the Illuminati and conspiracy theories. He's definitely bitter, but it doesn't mean that there's no truth to what he said. We know Mariah has a booze problem. It doesn't surprise me that she might've been diagnosed as bipolar back in 2001 either. He was still very much involved in her life during E=MC2, but the ultimate betrayal was using his brother's pass (not having to sign a disclosure agreement) and then using personal info against her. What really surprises me is the fact that he not only put Mariah's personal business out (being bipolar, drinking and not taking her meds or mixing them with alcohol), but he also called his own mother an alcoholic. That was a hit below the belt. Mariah did her best to help Alison, but addicts and prostitutes accept help when they want to. You can put them in rehab and being adult they can walk out whenever they want, as simple as that, and that what many of them usually do. There wasn't anything Mariah could've done to make her stay clean or commit to rehabilitation. Helping her while she's not helping herself is like giving her the drugs thus condoning her behavior, so I don't think Mariah should do shit for her until she shows real signs of change. I saw a video with Alison running a marathon. She's supposedly been clean for nearly a year now, but she has a lot to prove since she has caused so much pain to her family. Morgan might've told the truth, but it wasn't his business, and the means he use takes away from any credibility that he might've had. It's really sad because for me family is everything. Mine has always been there unconditionally. I would rather walk away from them than hurt them in any way. I hope the petals left on her flower don't keep scattering. The Beiver was having a great career resurgence at that time, but it was a lost opportunity because the song was garbage. It was so bad that it wasn't ever officially released, so we can pretend it never happened. Andy is a dear co-poster here who's very passionate about Mariah. He loves "Right to Dream" so much that I call it "Andy's Theme". I want to make clear that I don't have anything against rappers. I just think that if she's going to use one at this stage in your career, she should use great and well known ones. Let them give that push to your career that you used to give to to theirs, it's only fair. I wish for proper collabo with Drake, Ludacris, JZ, Little Wayne. Bring it big. "I Don't" understand it (72,316) by Edward from USA Comparing "My Love", "Almost Home", "100%", "Help Me Make It" and "Andy's Theme" to "Infinity", "Why You Mad", "Infamous" and "I Don't", one can actually see how the quality of the music is going downhill. I think "Almost Home" is the closest she's been to her glory days in terms of vocal delivery. As many of us have said, Mariah's going to have to fall on her ass several times before she realizes that she needs to do something different. And I'm not necessarily talking about her changing her sound by selling her soul to EDM, I'm talking about crafting a great songs and stop with the rent-a-rapper formula that is obviously not working. I don't care if she keeps putting soft-core porn videos. One of the frustrations many of us have is the fact that Mariah as a person plus Mariah as the artist were very true to us. The woman behind "Looking In" and "Outside" was real to us. She had the money, she was famous, yet she was still true and relatable. Now what she sings, however deep, is not believable to many. MW could've been used to actually paint a different picture from the one we see, but it only made things worse by showing a Mariah who basically cheats and lies. And for what, for the sake of money? Mariah and the Superbowl (72,306) by Edward from USA There's not doubt that whoever performs at the Superbowl halftime could expose their music to a wider and new audience as long as the performance is executed flawlessly. One thing about Janet, Lady Gaga and Madonna is the fact that they're athletic. They can move around, run, jump like they mean it. Mariah has a great catalog, and she doesn't necessarily has to turn into a dancer to do the Superbowl, but she would have to commit to a choreography and learn it until she doesn't have to worry about it. The key part would be lots of rehearsals. She could do her Heartbreaker routine. If she gets on the threat mill, takes some aerobic classes, learn a few moves, work on the voice and bring it, her career would definitely be back on track after a performance of this magnitude. Neither Mariah nor Whitney or Celine with their voices alone could've pulled something like that. Gaga is an entertainer, she has confidence, can sing, play the piano, dance, and it not always focused on her eyelashes or camera angles. She did great. For moment I tried to imagine Mariah on top of that platform where she was standing by herself, and I was like: she would need an army up there for her not to fall. (Monday 6 February 2017; 14:45)

Superbowl (72,259) by Edward from USA Mariah, different from Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Michael Jackson, hasn't ever been considered a great entertainer. The artist that go on the Superbowl should command the stage with confidence and grace. There's not time for "I Can't Hear Myself" or "Earpieces" problems. Any costume changes should be done within seconds. Mariah can't even walk two steps in her own high heels without help, let alone command gracefully and with stamina a stage like that. Nowadays when Mariah sings live on any TV show, you can see her paying attention to her voice and how she's going to sound, the fear is always in her face, you (all caps) can't bring that to the Superbowl. It would be career suicide. I'm glad she probably won't ever be asked. If something went terrible wrong, I don't think she could handle the aftermath. (Monday 6 February 2017; 14:40)
