About nOVA from USA:

GG getting personal (44,992) by nOVA from USA
There you go getting all personal, attacking me personally. My point stands. Mariah has faced incredible discrimination from birth and now 20 years in the game fans question her usage of ebonics in her lyrics? Yes, to me that smacks of racism. A lot of young people today don't realize radio even in the 80s predominately played white artists. [...] so to speak. Perhaps you need to examine why ebonics bother you so much. But that would be getting personal.

Carlos, you miss the point (44,939) by nOVA from USA
It's not about being able to speak White English well or not, it's about priorities, remember? Speaking the English language well ie in a White fashion is the means to an end, standard communication. But at the end of the day, art music fashion hell [...] more and more no longer must get the [...] of the a Western White idea of what's acceptable. Stop arguing the non matters and stick to my point.

GG and getting far (44,933) by nOVA from USA
Whatever you consider getting far in life. Once again you are aligning your morals with white-centric priorities like money, fame and fortune - even the so-called educational system you speak of is ridiculously white-centric. You sound like a proper product of Western ie White educational and financial success ideology. MC has experienced a world most never will as a half white half black female born poor in the early 70s. I trust whatever image, word usage or blatant disregard for media timeframes she chooses to project, this straight hood superstar our amazing Mariah Carey does it right.

Grrrr (white-centric) (44,927) by nOVA from USA
Hey. First of all, what I intended to express is that it is a white-centric attitude to expect one who speaks Afro-centric in their youth to outgrow that "immature nonsense" and speak "proper" English in maturity. That is so unbelievably white in thinking and ignorant in reality that it is laughable. Yes, in the workplace we will talk your "proper English" (for the most part), but in music and on the streets you best respect. The webmaster bracketed out the word image as in Mariah's so-called broke image. I wrote about how it is white-centric to expect her to appease all of these media monsters who have so royally backstabbed her in the past. You kid yourselves if you don't admit attacks on our MC aren't racially driven. Finally, a hashtagged statement was bracketed.

White-centric "fans" (44,920) by nOVA from USA
It's so funny to me you people debating her usage of certain words at her age. That is a white-centric attitude that so-called proper English is only appropriate when young. And your obsession with her fixing her supposed broke [...] - oh [...] again, you are suggesting she conform herself to some white-centric idea of the [...] R&B artist. And I appreciate that the webmaster has committed much time to this site, but she hasn't even posted all of my posts or my tags that I attach to my posts, the tagging and the post weren't Anglo enough, I guess. MC's album had just dropped and I was fiercely expressing my pride. Yes I can sound Anglo too, I'm mixed race. But let's keep it real, you all don't want MC [...]. Are you going to post this webmaster?

Mariah uplifitng (44,248) by nOVA from USA
Yes, on a positive note. This new album is like the vocal Mariah of her first few albums but with the sound of post-Butterfly Mariah. Yes, it sounds like early Mariah but she sings with a soul and conviction that her maturity has given her. It rocks. It's an album of gorgeous songs. I feel like she's just really spoiled me this time.

MC doing her thing (43,637) by nOVA from USA
[...] Yeah, I just heard Mimi's new joint, def doing her thing throwing it down, she still got mad lyrical skills and showing that A-town Crunk influence on her album's sound via JD. I'm personally loving Mariah with that crazy beat, sounds deep and it's going to pop in my Pathfinder with the sound system my husband insisted on putting in my truck. And that she released it to radio and not to general distribution? [...] I was rendered still.

Ariana comparisons (43,195) by nOVA from USA
Are so tired. Ariana's voice is great and she's totally cute and everything- but she's totally unlike Mariah. Mariah's voice has a buttery quality to it, her singing just transports the listener, particularly her earlier stuff. And she belts with a conviction borne of familiarity with struggle. The thing I've always loved about Mariah is she's far more interesting as an artist than these child actor Disney types. I just don't trust the talent of the star kids as much as I do those who sweated it out later. I respect the stars who've struggled to the top because it shows in MC's voice, lyrics, and music. You can't buy that.

Memoirs (43,099) by nOVA from USA
Was totally underrated. It's a great album, totally lends itself to being listened to in its entirety. The songwriting is creative fun totally MC. If you haven't really given the album a chance you should, it will grow on you. Out if all her albums, I've been listening to that one the most lately. [...]

You don't know what MC's planning (42,978) by nOVA from USA
Remember she's a musical genius. The release of her album will be [...]. You [censored] lambs don't give my girl enough credit. She's got something [...] up her sleeve. Stop the comparisons with Bey, [...]. Mariah's release will undoubtedly be unique. And they have totally different musical styles. [censored]

These [censored] "fans" [censored] (42,816) by nOVA from USA
MC is doing her thing. I love Mariah, remember where I was when I first heard "Vision Of Love" on the radio, and am grateful to her forever for how her God-centered music has helped my life. I buy everything she releases because I enjoy her evolution as an artist. Shame on all you self-important [censored] "fans" and your demands on MC. That's my girl.
