Dear Mariah('s management or anyone in PR). I am a die-hard fan since "Vision Of Love" and I am not saying this lightly but Mariah's career is at a turning point. She needs help. Help in form of a proper, strong and most of all competent management. Fair enough Jermain Dupri is a great songwriter and producer with some excellent results in the past. However, he ain't no Tommy Mottola, Benny Medina or Jay-Z. Mariah is 44 and let's face it no longer the leading pop/ RnB Lady. It depends on what she really wants (but I think here lies the issue): a relevant Pop career or a respectable career as an artist (with plenty of time for family and friends)? Those are two very different things. If she still wants to compete with the Katy Perries, Beyonces, Rihannas, and Lady Gagas for today's chart topping positions she needs nothing but the best of management. (With all due respect that ain't Jermaine Dupri and it certainly ain't Nick Cannon either.) She needs big people with big networks and big radio followings. Her new songs are hardly played anywhere: radios, clubs, etc but that is what one needs to get top chart positions. So, how about acknowledging the past to be the past and moving onto more fulfilling mature and adult territories? I want to see Mariah moving back to Adult Contemporary RnB (like Toni Braxton does with Babyface) and/or some Soul Jazz like Brand New Heavies, Jamiroquai, Incognito, etc. Let the brand Mariah evolve and breathe.
