About Stella from Greece: I discovered Mariah in 1994 when I was 14 years old and have been a big lamb ever since. I love her voice, songwriting and music.

Almost Home (37,236) by Stella from Greece
This is much better than Triumphant. Perhaps a bit too Rihanna sounding in the production, but still a good song. Those signature Mariah Carey vocals put a smile on my face. She sounds so beautiful and unique when she belts like she does on Almost Home. The constant whisper singing was getting painfully dull and just disappointing. Almost Home is a great surprise. Thumbs up from me.

Almost Home (37,199) by Stella from Greece
I just found out about Almost Home. Mariah singing for this big blockbuster film is so exciting and full of potential. If the song is great, it could win major awards. Imagine what it could go for her, already legendary, career. I also hope that Almost Home is the new single of her yet untitled album and that people have forgotten all about that bad song Triumphant. I can't wait to hear the new song, we are so close.

Hope Street (37,117) by Stella from Greece
I'm so excited. It sounds like everything I wish Mariah would do, mature and classic. I hope the new song has a touch of Memoirs too, I love that album.

All I Want For Christmas Is You - the definition of a classic (36,781) by Stella from Greece
I love this song, it never gets old. It really doesn't feel like Christmas until I hear this song. It's amazing when you think that not only does Mariah sang the original version, but she wrote it too. A real classic. On that note, I am counting down the days until December rolls on to start playing Merry Christmas and Merry Christmas II You. I think I may have to sneak a listen... or two.

Mariah at the Halo awards (36,780) by Stella from Greece
Mariah looked radiant. Best appearance since the BET Awards this year. I really love how supportive she is of Nick's projects and vice versa. I can't wait for the new Mariah era to start and particularly to hear her songs with The Dream. Ribbon, HATE U, Up Out My Face are still my jams. I don't love Memoirs as much as her early work but it sure is a underrated album.

Geezy (36,727) by Stella from Greece
I completely agree. Mariah is on a completely other level. Being compared to Rihanna, of all people? Please.

Edward / Eyitemi Judith (36,628) by Stella from Greece
Edward, I also thought about Triumphant and whether it is going to be on the album or not. I think it shouldn't be on the album, it would be a waste in my opinion because not only is it Mariah's worst lead single but her worst song period in my opinion. It's good that the album isn't coming until next spring, because it gives people the chance to forget about the Triumphant fiasco. So to include it in the new album would be a bad idea.
Eyitemi Judith, welcome lamb.

Mariah and Monroe (36,594) by Stella from Greece
I love the new pics of mother and daughter in NY. Roe is absolutely adorable with her pink glasses and cute ensemble. I wonder if Mariah wrote a song about dem babies to put on the album. That would be lovely.

Mariah back in the studio with The Dream (36,532) by Stella from Greece
Instead of focusing on some random person posting here only for attention and trolling purposes, I suggest we go back to discussing Mariah's music. I'm so excited Mariah's working with Terius again. They have made some great songs together. From Touch My Body, to My Love, to HATE U, to Up Out My Face, to the wonderful unreleased song They Don't Know Me. Hoping to hear some of that magic on the new album. This is great news.

My number 1 (36,515) by Stella from Greece
My number 1 will always be my Mariah, simply because there is no other voice compared to hers and there will never be another (past or present) voice better than hers. Fact. Also because Mariah, unlike other divas, is blessed with an enormous songwriting talent, great live performance skills and a ravishing beauty and genuinely good personailty. But since we doing Top 12's lol, here is mine:
1. Mariah Carey
2. Patti LaBelle
3. Celine Dion
4. Shirley Bassey
5. Shirley Murdock
6. Aretha Franklin
7. Roberta Flack
8. Dionne Warwick
9. Donna Summer
10. Kelly Clarkson
11. Adele
12. Cyndi Lauper

Mariah singing Happy Bday to Sharon Osbourne (36,469) by Stella from Greece
I just watched the video on YouTube (YouTube lol). Mariah looks beautiful and most importantly, sounds terrific. I died at that final ''you'' that she did. She really has a voice like no other's. Sharon looked pretty touched too. Mariah is such a sweet soul.

Happy anniversary Butterfly (36,342) by Stella from Greece
Happy anniversary to Mariah's best album ever! Mariah was at her peak with this album. I love the songwriting, her poetic vocals and the cohesion of Butterfly. I'm afraid Mariah won't ever make an album stronger than Butterfly.

Congrats Mariah (36,308) by Stella from Greece
Congratulations on your BMI Icon Award Mariah! I couldn't think of anyone else deserving this honor more than the greatest female songwriter of all time. Looking stunning at the ceremony by the way. Hair and dress all fly. L4L

Mariah's NFL kickoff performance (36,272) by Stella from Greece
Sorry, this wasn't one of her best performances to put it lighty. I mostly blame the quality of the song itself, it just doesn't translate well live. Not only does it not feature much of Mariah, but when featured her vocals sound buried below layers and layers thus making it even harder for her to sing live. Even worse, it seemed like there where technical difficulties because I felt like Mariah couldn't hear herself or something. Her voice sounded pretty tired tonight too, but I'll excuse her because every singer has on and off days. And when Mariah is on, she blows everyone out of the water. On a more positive note, she looked ravishing. Anywho, the sooner this Triumphant "single" dies down the better. Mariah, move on to something fresh and exciting I know you have it in you. Love.

Mariah says new songs will feel like classic Mariah songs (36,094) by Stella from Greece
I'm not hearing classic Mariah on anything about Triumphant. One can only hope that the rest of the album isn't anything like the first single though. She also said that the album will be an eclectic mix of vocally driven ballads, mid-tempos and up-tempos. Fingers crossed she really SANG on this album.

The new video is a disappointment (36,076) by Stella from Greece
Let me start by saying that I am, have been and always will be a huge fan of Mariah. However, I find her recent choices very disappointing. I loved TEOM and EMC2, but didn't like Memoirs or the AA remix album. I felt like there was nothing sonically fresh or vocally satisfying about that album. Her second Christmas album was a welcome return to form, but it was just a Christmas album. This new era had me curious and excited about Mariah's new offerings, I hoped she would come up with something fresh. Until Triumphant came out and left a sour taste in my mouth. The song bears a whole lot of rap and minimal Mariah vocal. Then Mariah, wisely, released those fabulous dance remixes where she was finally singing her behind off and my faith in this new era was somewhat restored. But now she released this video. I'm sorry, she really looks sexy and vibrant, but really there's no progress. It looks no different from a lot of her past videos and visually she could have done so much more considering the theme. How can such an unispired mv benefit the single, which is sadly already not shooting up the charts? Frankly, I feel like Mariah is afraid of progress, new creative ideas and team. You only have to look at her current team: her choreographer is her best friend, her husband directs her videos, her longtime musical director R. Jackson is her manager, she constantly works with J. Dupri (a producer way past his prime). I wish she would try something fresh next, but I'm not hopeful.
