Tour (75,831)

Have y'all seen her twitter page? Someone asked her to perform Anytime You Need A Friend and she responded and said it was a good idea but she doesn't know (yet). And also replied to someone that she is debating on Faded vs Thanx 4 Nothin to put on the tour set list. I think we are gonna get some never performed songs. I'm ecstatic.

After her split from Mottola, she had many hits. Honey, My all, Breakdown, When you believe, Heartbreaker, TGIFY, Loverboy, WBT, DFAU, TMB, Obsessed. I think you want to know if her commercial success declined after she left Columbia Records?

Re: Lionel Richie - joint tour (70,027) (70,036)

If we use Janet Jackson as an example. Her album sales dropped 74% the next week with sales of just 30,000. Her first week sales I believe were not a testament to her popularity but rather anticipation of her new album since she rarely releases new material. Mariah consistently debuts in the top 5 every album.

She is not selling as much not because she isn't popular but because people aren't buying music like they used to. MIAMTEC debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 with sales of 58,000 copies. That shows you right there. I think she is just as relevant and popular as she always was.

Push back (42,939)

I'm new to posting but I read the message board every day and I notice a lot of people saying they will not buy the album if it is pushed back. That is childish. How can you dictate when she releases her album? You are treating her like a child. "If you don't release when I say, I'm going to punish you by not buying the album." Come on now that's so ridiculous. Why not support her choice? This is her work not ours. Her albums are gifts to fans because we get to hear the beauty of her voice. Support her.
