About javier from chile: I've loved Mariah since 1990. I generally aprove of most things she does, yet I'll try to be honest always.

I don't, old fans like me (44,237) by javier from chile I was 14 when I heard VOL, I became an instant fan since then, even when I couldn't understand a word of English. I'm 38 now, I still 100% get and support Mariah. What happened to the other fans? It's like they had a crush on her early style of music and never really understood Mariah Carey the artist. MC already wrote many songs like Butterfly: verse, chorus, vers 2, chorus, bridge, final chorus. She might want to try new types of composition. Maybe she believes in following a melody where it leads as a more creative stand for ballads. She maybe understood that she doesn't need to use a thesaurus to be able to express her meaning, she transferred that complexity to her layered voices and runs. The woman is an artist and some people want her to be a music technician. Besides, we can't expect Mariah to have the voice she had in her 20s (because her voice is fragile and she has nodules) but she still has one of the most beautiful, characteristic, complex voices in pop. Can you grasp that? I have even read people saying that she lost her voice 17 years ago. She lost that voice that was ten thousand times better than all other voices yes, but she still has a voice that is one thousand times better than most current singers. Wouldn't you consider it unfair if 25 years into your career you boss would scorn you and made you feel unworthy becasue you are now just 1 time better than the rest and not 3 times better like 25 years ago. The album is amazing (43,928) by javier from chile This is without a doubt one of Mariah's best albums to date. I love it. I have been a fan since 1990 and I love all sides of Mariah. I feel most of her fans always choose one of her sides while I've been lucky to just fall for all her musical ventures. This is Mariah at its finest. I feel so sorry for people who expect her to sound as if she was 20. I mean she's 44 and still has a voice that is full of emotion and jaw-dropping. Others expect her to drop the rappers. Don't you know Mariah at all? She is crazy about urban music, she knows every rapper under the sun, she will never drop her hip-pop collabos since she made it a standard. Love and peace. My first post / Today's performance (43,734) by javier from chile I've been reading this message board for a while now, been a fan since 1990 and this is my first post. I need to defend Mariah. First of all, she did not lip her YDK performce since she can be clearly heard singing live over a recorded track, and that in my book is not lipping. Second, I sing and singing in the morning is horrible for any singer. I hate the fact GMA is always her first place she presents her new material live since it's early and she, like 90% of singers, struggle in the morning (she said she had slept little last night). Whoever thinks TMB is easy to sing is absolutely wrong, that song does not allow for any pause to breathe and people believe me, singing with live musicians and trying to hear your voice is extremely difficult, especially with all technical stuff going on for a tv show. So the fact you sound good in front of your computer singing TMB in your room does not mean you would sound awesome on a TV show live at 8 am. ABMB was 100% live, the usually lipped parts sounded completely different and live to me, the last time she sang it it was obvious the high parts were lipped, this time they sounded really live.
