About IheartMC from USA: I have been a member of the exclusive lambily since the amazing music box era which as far as i can remember being touched by any album or any other artist and mind you Whitney was huge at this point but something about Mariah you are able to connect with. The genuine lyrics, melodies, harmonies and vocals in general. Always honest and i am a huge fan and creator of music.

Re: Heroes medley (96,779) (96,787) by IheartMC from USA
I couldn't agree more. It shows she is hungry and motivated for her to pull a stunt like this. Although I could have done without Jhud. But with Jen on the cusp of the Aretha pic, that was also a smart move. I could have done with Kelly and Ariana. That would have been much more interesting to me.

Re: Kelly? (96,780) (96,786) by IheartMC from USA
I would have loved seeing Kelly but lately Mariah is ranked pretty high for a legacy artist as they portray her to be nowadays (rolls eyes). She is more than that. She inspired an entire generation of singers. She is the queen our time. Ariana is reminiscent of that fact. I love that she added Ariana for sake of showing Mariah is unbothered and rather smart.

Re: O Santa? O Mariah (96,680) (96,684) by IheartMC from USA
Honestly I have been thinking how Mariah must feel confident that she invited both Jhud and Ari to sing along her Oh Santa! along with her. I am also scared to see what happens however Jhud's voice [is] all grand all but she yells too much and I don't consider that really singing. Nor is she on the versatile style of Mariah. No one really checks for Jhud's music and that says something. She mainly gets notice from her covers of the queens that came before her. Ari is also a Mariah clone so that also says more than we could ever say. Mariah is [a] queen vocal decline or not. Let's just be happy our girl is still alive and kicking and doing the damn thing.

Re: Next single from The Rarities (96,117) (96,118) by IheartMC from USA
Great question, if we were lucky to get two new singles, my choices are below. I have to say, our girl really blessed us this year with great music. The Rarities is a well done project. How many artists can make a great project of unreleased material. Not many.

Next two singles: Both have great appeal for this generation while still being true to her artistry.
Cool On you
Mesmerized

5 fave tracks on the album:
All I Live for (such a great feel)
Cool On You (could be a hit)
Lullaby of birdland (infectious)
Out Here on my own (all the feels)
Everything fades away/Can you hear me (both are so majestic)

Honorable mentions:
Slipping away
I Pray

Re: What will Mariah be remembered for? (94,396) (94,401) by IheartMC from USA
Several other things. Hero, Fantasy, Heartbreaker, We Belong Together, Emotions to name a few. She is 30 years into her career and she is still relevant. Also her resilience is unmatched so I think it's safe to say she is good and is legendary. I don't think she is done quite yet. I think she has another redemption song looming. You can't count her out that is when she rises.

A vibe (93,906) by IheartMC from USA
Hey lambily, it's been awhile and Mariah has been on a great path and journey lately. Today I played this sequence of songs and I have to say it was a vibe and just shows how much [gems] this woman truly has. In my opinion, she's a musical genius. She has songs for days, but not just songs, really good songs. Timeless even. No one can compare to MC. She has in a lane of her own. Congrats to M for her recent no 1 with E=MC2 after 12 years on [iTunes]. So so dope. Sequence of songs that had me in the zone.

Re: First Mariah item (89,666) (89,675) by IheartMC from USA
My first item was the Music Box cassette and I was hooked at Dreamlover. Hero was and still is special to me. My dad's fave song was Hero and I sang it at his funeral. Mariah is and will always be a part of my family. She is like my big sister and I get into arguments and debates about her legacy. I protect it too lol I mean I have loved her early on. I will say although I started at Music Box, my fave song is "Can't let go" from Emotions. I listened to everything before that album and have followed her through the ups and downs. I am proud of her on Caution. I didn't think we could get another album after the debacle of "I don't and Stella" era. So glad she got rid of those snakes on the lawn and got back to her first love, music.

Re: How are singles chosen? (89,086) (89,099) by IheartMC from USA
I love the idea of Migrate having been the second single, however, if they were going with the usual formula why select "Bye bye"? They had a song such as "For the record" that was begging to be a single and a huge hit in my opinion. That song has an infectious hook, beat and bassline. She also sang in a very great tone. That song had all ingredients of a hit that we could even sing along to. What do you guys think? "I stay in love" was good but it was generic. "Last kiss", "Love story" and "Bye bye" were all filler ballads. This album was about the more upbeat side of Mariah. I even think if she wanted to go deep she could have chosen "Side effects" and joined it with an amazing descriptive video. That would have been epic and unexpected.

Addition to setlist (88,299) by IheartMC from USA
Hey guys, just want to say how glad I am that M changed up the setlist and did some interesting things such as a the disco remix of Emotions. So so dope. I would love for to add an acoustic medley and do songs like "I don't want to cry", "My all", "After tonight", "I only wanted", "Beautiful", "Clown" and even do "Hero" in a singer songwriter way in acoustic form. It would show more depth to some of her introspective songs. What do you guys think?

Re: Migrate (88,056) (88,067) by IheartMC from USA
Hilarious post. I can't imagine anyone pulling off this song with their personality. Imagine Beyonce trying to pull of a Migrate? She would look insane and out of touch? Among other gems. Mariah really is unique and one of a kind. All hail the queen. No apologies to the other fan bases. Sorry our diva just has to write and sing her face off. The others have to work extra hard to be noticed because Mariah's talent is loud with just music alone.

Article: 5 Songs by Mariah Carey that should've hit #1 (88,055) by IheartMC from USA
Love this. I do agree some of those deserved the coveted #1 spot. However, please do include Can't Let Go, Make It Happen, Shake it Off, Never Too Far, I'll Be Loving You Long Time, The Roof, Breakdown, I Still Believe. Ugh and don't even get me started on some of the genius work on certain album cuts (For The Record, Mine Again, Stay The Night, Make It Look Good, YDKWTD, Inseperable). This woman is so talented and can most certainly be called the queen of music. You can tell music is her best friend, she pays attention to detail on each track and makes sure the listener goes on a wave or "joyride".

Inspirational EP or project (88,036) by IheartMC from USA
Hey guys, with Tori Kelly winning her first Grammy's for her pop/gospel album, I was thinking why hasn't Mariah made a record in this format? It would be her chance at another Grammy. She has amazing records in the vein of believing and praising the lord. I would love to hear some unreleased gems and infuse some of the ones we already know. What do you guys think? This is what my set of inspirational records I have been listening to from Mariah. What's yours?

Re: Heartbreaker / If You Should Ever Be Lonely (87,729) (87,747) by IheartMC from USA
I love this version of HB. I especially love the sample of IYSEBL. The rasp in her voice and conviction are spot on. Rainbow was a cool album but wasn't perfectly executed because of all of her problems. I am sure it got in her way creatively. Albeit, it still has some of her classics such as HB, CTTA, HB Remix, Crybaby, Bliss, Rainbow Interlude, I get Petals more now and TGIFY. Now that remix album was golden. She needs to release a part 2 including the I Still Believe remixes and We Belong Together, #Beautiful and a few others. Honestly I can't pick a fave on that remix album if I could listen to both cds from top to bottom. M is really the queen of music.

Caution deluxe (86,748) by IheartMC from USA
Hey guys. So I am still loving the Caution album. But I recently got creative lol and added "I don't" to the mix and it fit so well within the end of the album with Runway. I love it. I wish that song had gotten more shine. The video was ehh but the song wasn't bad at all. It was actually a bop. I've played it at parties and people love it especially since it samples such a dope song by Donell Jones. You guys should try it.

Re: A lengthy meditation on the album (86,306) (86,341) by IheartMC from USA
Whoa dude, chill out. You sound really upset at Mariah. Let's just be grateful that we still have our Legend M doing her thing. I for one have been a fan since 92 (Emotions era) and I would love for her to bring back that classic Mariah sound back, but those days are gone for her and the industry really. She is moving with the times and I think she did a great job all things considered. I for one already realized Mariah has all the substance in the world and versatile one could as for as a fan. Let her just have her fun as she has most certainly earned it. If she wants to do sexy hip she is allowed. I am surprised she was able to sound sexy, layered and all. I don't think Mariah has any other album that sounds like this album. Albeit, it may not be her best vocally, sonically it's fresh, flirty and fun. Dude just drink some wine and chill out listening to the album which is how I think she intended it to be. My favorite was listening to it in the car. Just wishing Mariah health and happiness for this year. She should be proud of herself for putting out decent work. I for one am interested in seeing what else she has in store for us. Btw, I love runway. I can't believe she didn't include that in the album but I think she was referring to her handlers or the industry lyrically.

Top picks:
Caution
Giving me life
A No No
The Distance

Re: The other 6 songs (86,201) (86,207) by IheartMC from USA
I agree with you. I loveeeee the song Caution due to the simplicity of the lyrics and melody. Mariah tends to use too many words sometimes for her songs. I also love that but some songs are meant to be repetitive when the hook is so on point. Giving Me Life is also another gem that is on constant replay.

Hey guys, just wanted to refer this new artist who you can definitely tell was inspired by Mariah Carey. Something about him reminds me of nostalgic Mariah. Here is a link, let me know what ya think or please support a fellow lamb who has a great voice and music. Enjoy and let me know what you guys think.

Caution is lit (85,985) by IheartMC from USA
Wow, I am so glad I was saving my opinion of this current era until the full album was released. It's insane how she allowed With You to be released with diamonds such as Giving Me life (that guitar riff is everything), Caution and 8th Grade in her pocket. This album is definitely not for everybody but it will help re-invent our girl. I love this album I am a stan since Emotions era. I think this is what she probably wanted E=MC2 to be. This album is serving justice for Migrate lol. Congrats to us lambs for making Glitter and Mariah having the redemption only suited for icons of her stature. She really is a queen. No one will ever come close to her. Her songwriting and melody arrangements are back and I am so glad she made this album. I was waiting for big vocal moments but there aren't many. This is more radio friendly music with an atmospheric vibe to it. Kudos to M for making a cool, modern and edgy project. Lovesss. Top picks:

Giving Me life

Re: With You (84,330) (84,367) by IheartMC from USA
I also love I Don't. It's current and her voice sounds great to me. It didn't get the attention it deserved and she used a great sample which was JD's idea. The video on the other hand should have never been approved lol. "Vulgariah" needs some help in the outfit department. JLo is nowhere near as talented as M, but her style is on point most of the time.

With You is definitely not lead single material but let's see what she has in store for us. I am sure she has cooked some good stuff. Let's not count her out just yet. She proved she can still sing at her Vegas residency while singing Can't Let Go. Ugh, what I would give to get a song on that caliber from her. Here's hoping we get something different and fresh. I have faith because just a few years ago Beautiful, YDKWTD, Faded, Make It Look Good and Almost Home happened.

With You reaction (84,320) by IheartMC from USA
So, upon several listens of the song, I think I'm neutral about it. It's not good or bad. It's just shows no growth and sounds a bit restraint. I guess I was expecting a real ballad or something in the vein of YDKWTD. That song should have been held for a future release as a first single. That is the kind of song we come to love from her as a lead single. "With you" sounds like an album cut. The lyrics are well done and I can see she is also trying to stay relevant but I would love to see her give us an Adele styled album. In other words a beautiful pop/R&B classic like Daydream. I am not speaking of vocally (I know she isn't capable of that anymore) but sonically/lyrically. That album is a timeless Pop/R&B album. It appeared to every demographic. It was a great blend of the old and new Mariah at the time. What do you guys think?
