I've been a fan of Mariah's since I first heard Love Takes Time (I don't know how I initially missed Vision of Love), and I haven't looked back since.
Her music has been there for me in my darkest hours to help lift out of the depths of whatever I was going through at the time. She's my all time favorite female singer, even though I love many others.

It's funny to think of her music as a "friend", but it's always been there for me. I love her talent.

" As we drifted to another place and time
And the feeling was so heady and sublime
As I lost my heart to you
There in the dark
Underneath the stars"

It wouldn't be a proper MCA post without a little shade, so I figured I'd get this off my chest (remember, you said you're ok with a little hate).

Licia, I hate the fact that you stole my unicorn onesie and rock it better than I ever could. May Infinity be the first and last song you hear every day from this day on. Happy birthday.

Very true about BS and the current state of music. The thing I find interesting is how much Erotica was overlooked as an album because of her whole Erotica book. The album itself is one of my favorite Madge albums. It's akin to what happened to Mariah, the Glitter movie, and the Glitter soundtrack.

She looked amazing. And she did the whole thing with Diane Warren. I know it's going to played off as a joke, but it doesn't play well on its face.

Per this WSJ article about Mariah's Obsessed reentering the charts, Tiktok views don't count for the charts.

It's obviously still highly influential these days, however. I mean, the song did get noticed again because of it. A nice challenge might be in order for it.

I probably should have checked out the article section on the site here before commenting. The webmaster posted an article from Idolator where it states that TikTok views count. I'm not sure which article to believe, but there you have it.

I would really like to hear a couple of collabos between MC, J Balvin and Bad Bunny. I know, I know - I know how ludicrous it sounds, but I think it could be quite good. J Balvin and Bad Bunny have an album together that's pretty damn good, and there are instances where I can feel Mariah fitting in nicely.

Anyway. Just a thought.

She was pretty damn good on her interviews for the Caution launch. And not just one. And that was 2018.

Growing up in LA, I remember always buying singles but I don't remember anything other than Loverboy being discounted. I'm not saying they weren't in other parts of the country, but I always found it odd. I would've bought several copies if they had been.

I agree that there could very well be more to this story, but I know I've seen Sam mention her before on social media. I'm a 100% sure it was IG or Twitter but he has.

Nikki, do you know what year those MTV interviews were when she gave him the green light? I'm guessing during the CB era, but I don't really know. I'd like to watch them if they're online somewhere.

From Looking In, I can never forget this whole verse:

"She smiles through a thousand tears
And harbors adolescent fears
She dreams of all
That she can never be
She wades in insecurity
And hides herself inside of me"

For me, it's always felt like her most personal song; followed closely by Side Effects.

Hey Jeff. You're right about that. I think she has a number of things she could talk about that would put a spotlight on things that a lot of people struggle with. She doesn't write those heavy songs from nothing.

Bill, that grooming rumor is interesting. I've never heard of it before. How long has it been around? I do think it's more of a decline than her always sounding like this, however.

Since Mariah is supposedly writing her memoirs, what are a couple of things you wish she'd be the most honest and transparent about?

For me, the obvious one would be the unvarnished truth about her voice. I think it would it would be something unexpected and real from her, and it would probably serve her well with the general public's view of her. Plus, it would be catchartic.

Is there anything else you guys wish she'd open up about? I know there's very little chance she'll be completely honest about her voice.

Are the pics supposed to make me think less of her? I mean, have you guys checked out this new app called Instagram? That place has some questionable pics all over the place.

Look, I'm not saying I like the pics (certainly unflattering lighting, if I'm being kind), but they weren't meant to see the light of day. I don't care what/whom they were meant for.

Mariah showed a lack of judgement by trusting that camp as much as she did, but there's nothing she can do about it now. Slut shaming is never a good look on anyone. I'm here for the talent.

Recent testing on the virus suggests that a rigorous and aggressive treatment of what researchers are dubbing "whistle only" therapy, be administered nd they're attributing the therapy to famed singer Mariah Carey. Researchers believe that a lack of right-to-dream single enzymes may be the culprit. It is also noted that this virus seems to originate in The A, Anyone infected should immediately report to The Special K laboratory for treatment. It is also advised they refrain from engaging in unprotected Migrate-shouldv'e-been-a-single conversations.

A celebrity getting work done and trying to hide it? Scandalous. The next thing you know, they'll accuse her of not always singing live. Does it really matter that/if/how she did it? It's nobody's business but hers. This says more about the person that leaked it. Next.

I didn't even think about Till The End Of Time, but I'm right there with you, Stacey.
